Re: Mini Review: Half Past Fate: Romantic Distancing - A Love Story That's Too Close To Reality

Looks to me like the game hit a nerve with the authors own life during the pandemic, hitting home so hard for them that they got offended and out it as a negative.

Kind of silly to be honest. This review seems to reveal more about the person reviewing than the game itself. To be honest, the game is fine. I haven't seen many (if much at all) new games talk directly about the pandemic and for some this may actually be cathartic and relatable. The criticism about it being too short is definitely a valid point to make though.

That in mind, the actual game deserves about a 7/10

Re: How Much Faster Is Super Mario 3D World On Switch Compared To The Wii U Original? This Much

I finished 3D world on Wii U, so there's not a chance in hell I would double dip and buy this game again at full price, even with the Bowser's fury DLC.

The improvements are great for new players though. I may reconsider at the inevitable price drop in the next 6 months or so. Also since my girlfriend hasn't played it yet and seemed to have shown interest in getting the game.

Re: Pokémon Teams Up With Katy Perry To Kick Off 25th Anniversary Celebrations

No hate towards my girl Katy, but Jesus... If this doesn't reek of pandering to "our youths" by corporate CEOs who are completely out of touch with "what the young folks are into these days", I don't know what is.

To be fair though, Gamefreak has always had a rocky history with it's marketing department. At best it's hit or miss, at worst it's contraversial. I got a better idea though.

You want to actually get people interested? How about just making and marketing a good game, without the lazy development and animations, excuses, gimmicks, and cutting out content that should be in said game day one (don't get me started on the whole dexit diaster).

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I'm a simple man. I just want my $60 to actually feel like it's worth it when I buy a Pokemon game. And not feel like it's going towards the next cheesy pandering campaign to a demographic they can't relate to, to put new lipstick on the same old pig.
