There's a whole community out there for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that has taken the game to new heights - with fancy in-game exploits and tricks. The latest clip doing the rounds on the internet is shared by the Japanese YouTube channel ゼルダねこ (as spotted by Twitter user GamesCage). It's yet another stunning Guardian kill, titled "1400m BtB trick shot".
Despite the name, it's actually highly calculated. Link hops out a window, fires off an arrow into the sky, and then bounces off a Bokoblin below with a Guardian Shield. This sends him soaring across the sky, alongside the arrow - which lines up perfectly with a Guardian Stalker in the distance (see 0:00 - 0:59).
This same video goes into detail about how "moon jumps" have been used to measure the distance between the two points (1400m, all up). Just be sure to activate closed captions for the translation. What do you think of this latest "trick shot"? Do you think you could ever recreate something like this? Tell us in the comments.

Why would anyone ever attempt to do this. It’s awesome, but I’m so confused. They must have put several months worth of work to pull that off.
My brain has officially melted. This is really good and it's skill hurts my head. Or maybe it's the fact that I'm awake at 11 at night. Yeah maybe.
jaw hits ground
“Buuuu... whaaaa.... huuuuh???”
I just don't understand how amazing this game keeps being for the community.
Ok that was legit.
The fact that the game still seems fresh shows how amazing it is can't wait for part 2.
amazing. I freaking love Breath of the Wild!
"HEY AONUMA! You think I don't know how to arch an arrow?"
This is just... like... how? HOW?!
I feel like this is the equivalent of watching a long trail of dominos with a big finish/payoff except there’s like only 2 dominos and they’re a mile apart. Somehow it works and I don’t know how.
お前はもう死んでいる
copied and pasted that don't know if it's right
nvm it is
The mad thing about this is he has done it at least two times.
I can record something which randomly happened and say that that was meant to happen all along. But he obviously calculated what he was doing, before or after the first time he made the trick shot.
It's amazing how you can spend over 200 hours in this game and still know so little about it. I've never sought out any tips, tricks or guides for BotW, so just feel an absolute Day 1 noob up against these guys. Incredible.
Super impressive.
I'm tempted to go back to the game and start over again. I've been thinking about it for a while.
Tip of the hat.
Pannenkoek levels of understanding game mechanics. Although that might be a little exaggerated
I never cease to be amazed by what people can do in this game: be it incredible engine stuttering trick shots like this or just discovering you can feed squirrels acorns!
Awesome video. It's so much fun loitering around in the game world, exploring and doing whatever you like. For example, I recently took up photography, it's really another skill needed to be able to catch the in-game butterflies. I can imagine that practicing this can be a lot of fun for someone.
Very very impressive!! I so wish I could wipe this game from my memory to be able to experience at again for the first time.
I didn’t even know you can use your parachute when shield surfing!
My singe response when I saw this:
Eh? Also, why?
Wow. Just wow.
I’m not sure if I should be impressed or alarmed at such dedication to a game that’s at least 4 years old now
@timp29 wow this game IS almost 4 years old. I feel old!
This really makes me wonder what kinds of amazing stunts/tricks will be possible in the sequel to Breath of the Wild... definitely something I am looking forward to seeing.
It's cool that someone on Planet Earth pulled off that shot.
As for me pulling that off....yeah right! Absolutely no chance!
But I'm willing to bet that this person has more hours into this one game then I do total for all my games played on my Switch.
Guess I'll finally buy it (had it on Wii U), think it's time my youngest played his first Zelda game.
This is my absolute favorite game and I've done my fair share of glitches and trick shots, but nothing THAT crazy
The Virgin Energy is strong with this one.
Still... Very impressive.
Claps in astonishment
I thought using the Ancient Arrow will "zap" its target? It looks like the Guardian "exploded" as usual
My fish prince (Sidon) and wee fortune boiii, (astor) need to be playable in botw 2
My favourite thing about this is that the arrow actually keeps going on a realistic trajectory. It doesn't just disappear as it would in so many games.
The game world is insanely detailed and well realised.
