Never really liked them to be honest. Kit especially just oozed of "punchable gangly antisocial nerd", that just rubbed me the wrong way, and found them to be a little too uptight and forced, telling us things we already knew about the games they played, and making it blatantly obvious that they hated each other's guts and was only playing together for a paycheck. But I can see the appeal of them to a younger audience.
In all though... Good riddance. Their retirement was well overdue since the Wii. I wouldn't be surprised if Krysta was just waiting for the opportunity to ditch the cuck, and move to bigger and better things, and to be honest... I'm proud of her for doing so.
I can taste the salt brewing from this article. Everyone knows that Geoff's game awards are mostly BS. I wouldn't take it so hard. Nintendo goes by the beat of their own drum. If they got something to show, we'll get a Direct of it.
"Loud ASMR" should be a crime. It's kind of hilarious how the Pokemon company has no understanding of how it works. Too lazy to actually hire real ASMRtists.
@Papaia Dang... I didn't know that. Its been a while since I've been playing some new horizons. I need to get back in there.
Hmmmm random question then, can you squirt flowers with the spray bottle yet? One of the things I've always found adorable to see villagers doing, but feel it won't be a thing, since 1. You can just use the watering can. and 2. I think it's unbreakable, which would I guess defeat the point of the watering can (though I suppose the trade off is being able to only water one flower at a time vs 5-6)
@Ogbert As a fellow digimon enjoyer, and one that's also aware of all the poop jokes thrown in on occasion within the series, that's definitely true. However, I have to agree with mariopartyfan.
Everyone poops, yes. But because of that, poop jokes have become stale and most jokes pertaining to them just come off to me as tasteless and immature. Ahem, toilet humor if you will appealing to the lowest of the low bar of comedy. It's like making jokes about elbows. Sure... We all have elbows, so there isn't much to laugh about in pointing that out. Heck... I'd find it more hilarious if they tie in jokes about creatures that can't poop, as in, physically unable to excrete waste in any way. That's creative, and almost intriguing. Any 5-year old meanwhile, can make a joke about poop (and has).
Nothing wrong with poopin' of course, it's just not a creative vehicle for story telling in my view. So seeing it used to try and force a laugh out of me is lazy writing, and borderline cringe inducing. Surely feces lovers can do better with their material (pun intended).
The word service is cute from the big three, but as long as they continue to sell Activision games I feel it's more of a slap on the wrist. If they truly believe what they say they need to show some action against the company.
Quite frankly, I haven't played an Activision game since the Hong Kong controversy. Good riddance.
"Meme games" tend to age like milk. I can't imagine this game even being a thought in anyone's head 5 years from now.
I'll pass. I'll use that money to invest in real stocks. At least 5 years from now, choosing a profitable stock in real life will still be relevant and useful.
Also.. the fan service of this game where your assistant strips her clothes over time / depending on your relationship with her is pretty cringe.. But alas, with a game called "Stonks" I'm not surprised.
@hadrian Agreed. There's been a lot of damage to the Xbox brand during the One/Kinect era, and it's nice seeing someone like Phil who actually cares about games and repairing the damage that was done... Not selling you TV and gimmicks instead of games like that slimeball Mattrick has done before him.
@Dpullam No problem. Microsoft has done a way better job advertising their Xbox platform being more PC friendly than Sony has, and they kind of been pretty hushed about adding their games onto places like steam, so people often aren't aware of the PlayStation games making their way to PC just like Xbox has. I found this out myself when I discovered that Horizon Zero Dawn (and soon GOW) are making their way to Steam. Good times for all here.
PlayStation are putting their games on PC as well now, so that applies to both consoles. And Gamepass for Xbox console is not the same as on PC. Some games are exclusive to each platform, so do the research and look into which version is best for you.
Also, having a console for either has it's advantages if you play any multiplayer games. Hackers are a real problem on the platform and don't get me started on scalpers for graphics cards and components. Saying this as a PC gamer with a 3090 rig, an Xbox Series X, and a Nintendo Switch. Play on whatever platform you want, particularly whatever platform is the most accessible, and preferably the least infested by scalpers at the time.
Since no one said it yet. I will. Good job Sakurai on finally nabbing a Series X. Xbox has done a great job with the console. He's going to have a blast with Forza and Halo infinite, both truly masterclass games of their genre.
It's refreshing seeing Xbox finally gaining momentum in Japan again. The "Xbox One era" has been an embarrassment to the brand with that idiot Don Mattrick at the helm. Getting rid of that clown and putting Phil Spencer at the reigns was well overdue. Perhaps the best decision they've made.
Learn to actually listen to the feedback you're getting, and learn to actually work towards making high quality Pokemon games, instead of cash grab, rushed, overpriced and glorified 3Ds games with incremental revisions each year, textures that look like they've been commissioned on Fiverr, lying to consumers about your reused assets and randomly cutting out Pokemon that should be in the games day 1 (Dexit) and maybe you wouldn't get so much hate.
No one cares about your crying like you guys are some indie developer struggling on funds to make good games. You're literally THE HIGHEST grossing franchise of all time. You're going to get haters. You will be criticized for your laziness. Grow up and do better.
@Samalik I assume you are familiar with the concept of fan-service, so I don't think an explanation on why my dislike for high heels on a space suit needs to be explained. If such a concept alludes you, I can't say I can do much to help you there. We have two different opinions on the matter, so we'll leave it at that. Also, I'm very much satisfied with my relationship with my girlfriend, but I appreciate your concern about my social life with other females.
@Shadowmoon522 I don't hate heels on boots. I hate uneccessary sexualization of footwear on female characters designed specifically to check a box of "appeal to hormonal young boys". The picture you've shown is the correct footwear for what I was describing as preferable. You will notice that the shoes Samus wears look nothing like that, with a much larger arch and higher heel/wedge, so you'll have to try again friend. She'd fit right into a Go Go party though. Much less so than Other M (atrocious honestly), so in that respect, there is hope.
@Deady Nice man! And hey this is the internet, I expect nothing less than an open discussion on video game footwear. I guess it irks me the slowness of progress on women shoes in video games. I always thought it stupid on the prevalence of heels in action games or even horror games. It's such a blatant cop-out for male attention it hurts my soul.
Then again though I'm just projecting after holding this stuff in since Samus was revealed to be a woman. So sorry about all this gushing. My rant has been long overdue lmao. If they're trying to go the sexy and still practical angle, at least give my girl some Reebok Floatrides or something. Shapely, comfortable, practical, and realistic looking (in my most dearest opinion) and hell, they even come in blue to match her suit!
@Samalik Nah... Because, like I said, it's fan-service. It's tacky and stupid.
And it's annoying to be honest. Thankfully we're seeing a decrease in the heel size, which has been something Metroid fans have been requesting for decades now (Other M anyone?). I'm excited to play a Metroid game where Samus wears combat shoes like a normal human being, and not shoes that make her look like a hooker fresh off the street. Kudos for Nintendo for going in that direction.
I don't get it... Why the hell do they keep giving Samus heels? They serve literally no purpose in the lore or in the game. I get the fan service to thirsty prepubescent boys, and I'm glad her heels are less extreme from Other M, but seriously it ruins an otherwise pretty cool futuristic design.
People still try to get Nintendo Rewards? Impressive. I always found that their rewards are straight garbage, so I couldn't care less about losing them.
Oh good. My insecurities in hoping no one else gets the best version of a 24 year old game locked behind an online subscription service is soothed from hearing this news.
At this point it's hard to predict what Nintendo does. They're extremely stubborn on updating their hardware. It's always been their weakness, and why the usual saying is "PlayStation and Xbox compete for the best graphics, and Nintendo will be Nintendo." So if Nintendo actually does make a Switch pro, I assume it will be to maintain its dominance of the portable console gaming sphere. Otherwise, expect more OLED spinoff consoles, Lite spinoff consoles, gimmicks, etc to keep people distracted.
In other words. "The Switch is simply too weak and the cartridges are too expensive to port this game over"
All the more reason for an actual need for a Switch Pro with expanded storage.
It's a shame how Nintendo went the greedy/lazy route and instead released a Switch OLED. Imagine a Switch that actually has current gen performance to match... Oh wait.. That's why people are buying the Steam Deck in droves.
This is no surprise. Apple is a much bigger company than Nintendo, and has way more users than the aforementioned platforms. Apple has the lions share of the mobile market, the largest market with regards to gaming, period... Of course it will make more profit.
That's like saying an elephant can eat more food a day than the average human. Really stating the obvious here.

Re: Modernised 'Panda' GameCube Controller Hits Kickstarter, Instantly Smashes Goal
No Bluetooth support built in. Meaning you have to use a wire to play on Switch. Or pay an unknown price for the rumored addon.
$90 for the "base model"
No price given for add-ons.
"Just trust us dude" marketing.
Hard pass. I'll wait for reviews and the eventual bargain bin price drop.

@CodyMKW This is true, I am able to drink things. In fact, I'm drinking a cold glass of H2O right now. Heh heh.

Re: PSA: Did You Know You Can Lift Weights In Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Make sense. Villagers could lift weights already, so it wouldn't be too much work to make our characters models do them too.
Now we just need to be able to eat and drink things or smell flowers and our full assimilation with the animal villagers will be complete.
