@MagnaRoader : I'm guessing Chronicles pops up next year. They may be remaking Veronica. I wonder about RE 7 and RE 2. If they do bring it, might be a digital download since those games are much bigger. And it depends if these games are selling on Switch, which I assume they are since they keep bringing them on. I want everything Resident Evil on Switch.

Also, I'm enjoying all the Resident Evils on Switch right now. Most of my most played games are Capcom published namely Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, Dragons Dogma, Okami, Ominusha, RE, etc. I couldn't be happier.

Resident Evil 5, NBA 2k19, and Ominusha. RE is great so far. I actually spent weeks customizing a 1990s NBA roster, so I may not get the next 2k until NBA 2k21, or 22. And I'm hoping to start the Witcher 3 soon.

This is a great gag gift once it hits the bargain bin.

Suda51 just did some DLC for Fire Pro Wrestling World. That's the game I badly want to see on Switch. Hopefully NL can one day talk to him or the Fire Pro crew at Spike to find out why these guys have yet to drop this on Switch.

@Cissero : It does help to somewhat play in order but a few of the games are absolute wonders without following any previous back story. My playthrough was Remake, 0, 4, 5, Revelations 1, 2. You can skip 2, 3 and 6 and not miss a beat.

And with these games, I could play over and over. Just too good.

Resident evil Revelations 1 and 2 are fantastic games. Remake and RE 0 are close behind. I haven't played RE 4, 5, and 6 on the Switch yet ( I will be next weekend). But those were great games, especially 4 and 5 on the xbox.

I hate to say this, but I've never played RE 2, and RE 7 doesn't interest me because of the first person perspective.

The Resident Evil games are my favorite game series of all time. I hope Capcom considers dropping the original RE 2, and a Code Veronica port for Switch. And hopefully Revelations 3 is on the docket, maybe with some old characters popping up, namely Rebecca and Billy from 0. Again, my absolute favorite franchise.

For Switch, I'd love to see Dino Crisis 1 and 2. The original Resident Evil 2, and Code Veronica would be nice too. I'd love to see the original playstation resident evil re-released too. That game is insanely expensive to obtain.

@Jayofmaya : I don't know if you're from the U.S., but there have been a few major mergers lately, with Disney acquiring Fox, and Warner Bros and At&t merging. I see alot of folks cheering on this stuff because all of Marvel's properties are under the Disney Umbrella. But the ramifications are much worse in the long term, with streaming costs likely to rise, and lack of creativity driving it's way forward.

I actually think I got a better deal through my Wal Mart physical pre order at 49.99 USD. And 4 is on the cartridge.

@MartyFlan : Yup, I did the same with the Simpsons. I fortunately purchased the DVDs for the first 7 seasons years ago and can always watch MJ at my time and choosing.

Hit and Run was fantastic. But Disney now owns the Simpsons, so I dont expect any remake. Maybe they'll pursue a live action movie or theme park similar to all the other properties they've damaged.

All good. Updating their customers is always a good thing.

Maybe I'll try the last Doom for Switch. I've read good things but I solo play, so I dont know.

I wonder if these work with other games as well, namely the Sega Mega Drive classics collection?

Sakurai talking about how his work is for Iwata just shows such a deep determination and respect, it brought a tear to my eye. I really wasn't planning to pick up Smash for Switch, because I still play the Wii U version. But now, I think I will go get it.

@Knuckles : I think it's a situation where if Michael Jackson was alive, we'd probably see the game back in circulation. Just a shame that we may never see it again in it's original format.

I already had 2 of these ( one for me and one for my sister) reserved at Gamestop. Review only confirmed what I could see from the trailers and announcements. I never owned the original incarnation of this system, so my sister and I will be thrilled.

@graysoncharles : yeah, I'm not sure what the hate for the review is. I'm not even sure half the folks commenting even read it. Also, many are complaining about microtransactions. Again, for anyone reading the review you dont need to buy anything in game, and you can ignore it. NBA 2k is a juggernaut that sells all year. People should play it before complaining. I've played since the original Dreamcast versions, and have only skipped 2k16, and now 2k20, the first due to basketball fatigue, the latter because I dont want to download 30+ GB if I bought the cart.

The draw for this game has always been My league. Anyone playing the Myplayer or mycareer or whatever it's called is just missing out on the best part of the game.
Let's see though...no Charles Barkley, no Reggie Miller and a huge download for the physical version. Very hard pass this year for me. I'll be saving up for a game fully on cart, the Witcher 3.

@pedro702 : hmm..I didn't know that. I've been leaning into games all on cart. I hope Ubi doesn't disappoint here. And if anything, I'll be stuck with plenty to play, namely The Witcher 3.

I'll have to get this. Considering Ubisoft fixed ACIII, I'm sure this should be pretty solid. Why are folks assuming the games aren't all on cart? So far, I think Ubi has put their games all on cart.

If Nintendo decides to make streaming a significant option, I'm definitely done with video gaming. I already have one foot out the door with so many downloads for physical games on all platforms.
I'm looking forward to what Microsoft and Sony whip out next generation, but if Nintendo releases a beefed up Switch, I would expect that in late 2021, just so the other two cannibalize each other. Microsoft's Game Pass allows for backwards compatibility across 4 generations at that point and that may attract a number of people. All of this might be mute by this time next year when a global recession set in, and inflation ratchets up.

I would buy this in a heartbeat. And I'm not a soccer fan. I've played some on PS4 a few years ago, and it was impressive. It reminds me of NBA 2K in terms of gameplay. Polished and deep but still user friendly.

Just like rotten tomatoes. I rarely rely on film reviews after I watched Interstellar years back, and then Batman vs Superman. For games, I use a few trusted sites and magazines like NL, and Game Informer. My only question for the people review bombing anything is why are you so angry? The internet has magnified these folks and given them a voice and that's only going to get worse.

Chrzanowski seems very proud to have the entire game on a single cartridge and running well to boot. I really appreciate that he wants the on the go mentality vs a Ubisoft cloud based Assassin Creed Odyssey type of experience. Clearly, this team has put significant effort to get this game out to Switch owners, and to actually own as well. This reminds me of THQ shoving WWE No Mercy onto a single cartridge with awesome graphics, sound, and titantron videos. It was ridiculous and so I gladly plunked 80 dollars down at my local mall to reward the developer. I'll do the same here.

I'm going to dream about Fire Pro Wrestling on the Switch.

@Reigestugatensho : Sorry for late reply, but I was referring to the early 90s xmen animated series. I just enjoy that animation so much.

@RadGravity : I didn't know that about the ps2 controller. I had trouble with the games on ps2 but a blast on the gamecube.

@JaxonH : You're one of the positive comments on this, and I'm actually super happy we're able to get all 3 games in a 60 buck package. I actually thought RE 5 was ridiculously good. Chris is all jacked up on steroids and Sheva is a good partner.
Now with this package, that RE 0 and 1 for 60 dollars makes no sense, so hopefully that gets dropped in half at some point.

@JaxonH : Haha, it's not just Nintendo Life. It's the world these days. Folks seem to expect everything for cheap or free. They'll boycott movies, games, stores, etc. I think there's a vocal minority that would prefer a totally socialist economy...but I dont think you'd get videogames in that utopia.
But back on topic, I have no problem with this DLC. From the Treehouse's extensive gameplay footage, this game looks great. And it looks like the developers worked hard on this. I'll gladly pay for that.

@DockEllisD : I've never heard of famitsu evolution. I may have to look into this. I wish there were more sports games for the switch, since NBA 2K has been my most played game on the system. But, it looks like I'll finally be playing baseball again.

@DockEllisD : You have powerful pro baseball? I just saw this was getting released in Japan and was thinking of importing. I'm hoping it's as good as the Wii installments.

I hope we get the original Captain Mar-vell as a DLC. That was such a special character. Its him and Warlock facing off against Thanos back in the day.
Otherwise, the models are cartoony and comic like, sort of like the xmen animated series which I loved!

Fire Pro Switch is the first and only game that came to mind. Would love to see that!

@Mommar : yup, I just read their press release and saw its confirmed as a 32GB card. They respect their audience. They can have all my money.

I just read CD Project is releasing the full game on cart with DLC. And runs in 540p handheld and 720p docked with dynamic something whatever that means. Holy moly. The entire game is arriving on a 32 or 64gb cart. This is crazy!

This was pretty shocking. I always wanted a Sega Saturn and this game, and I'm happy I'll get a chance to play this.

I'm watching Treehouse footage now and have been fully convinced. They're even using the Jim Lee and Fox animation versions of the X-men...say what?! Instant must buy!

Great addition. The Switch is replacing my gamecube as the ultimate horror console. Add the creepy gamecube boot up sound and Eternal Darkness and I'm done.

Fantastic news. Resident Evil 5 is an absolutely great game. I can't wait to punch rocks again. I'd be surprised at a physical release, but who cares at this point.

It's been 17 years since Eternal Darkness? That's crazy. Same with Wave Race. Is there a way to calculate how much Mario and Zelda games were released in that span?
Also, I'd like to add two sports franchises to the list with Ken Griffey baseball and Kobe Bryant in NBA Courtside.

I've pre ordered two of these a month ago from my local gamestop. One for me and one for my sister. Growing up, we were never allowed to play videogames and this was one of the consoles that we always wanted to play.

The WWE 2K games are all terrible. It's all presentation and the gameplay is bad. Also, the roster of the current WWF is homogeneous and boring than ever. Yukes instead of making another wrestling game should help publish Fire Pro Wrestling on the Switch. Or find out if AKI still does wrestling games.

The N64 was my wrestling machine. I dont know if this controller would even work with the Acclaim WWF games. That required the d-pad. Otherwise, it should work with everything else I play, like Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, WCW Revenge, etc. Also, that price point is amazing.

NBA 2K19, Resident Evil Revelations 2, Monster Hunter and Street Fighter 30th anniversary collection. I have to get Resident Evil 2 for my xbox at some point, but the Switch has too much to play.

I have it pre ordered on Gamestop. The Switch has become my capcom machine with Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, and now Dragons Dogma. I am pumped.

@Mallow : I 100% agree with you. I'm not sure if it's a generational shift where consumers are ok with streaming, and relying on tech to access stuff. I still want to own my products because there is a possibility of losing access at some point.

This site is sad. They posted the same thing for NBA 2k19 as if it's a badge of honor to report. I'm done with this site and flame bait articles. Back to Gameinformer!
