2K Kicks Off Nintendo Switch Sale With NBA, WWE And More Heavily Discounted (North America)

I'll wait to see if they do NBA 2k20 for $3 like last years version. Can't pass it up for that price.

sigh This just reminds me that we probably won't even see WWE 2K anymore... they couldn't even bother simply fixing up '18 by now. It should be frickin' free at this point frfr, or at least at a price point near that. A real shame...

I finally got Carnival Games, should be fun to play with my kids. Been wanting to play it since the Wii.

Do not buy the Switch version of Civilization 6. It is buggy, poorly optimized, and seems to get worse every time they patch it.

Anyone know if 2K20 is as stingy about requiring a constant internet connection as 19? I absolutely loved 19’s gameplay and put a ton of hours into it, but if your connection cuts out for even a millisecond during a MyCareer game, you lose all your progress and have to start the entire game over again. You can’t even go in to sleep mode either. Very frustrating since I like to play 12 minute quarters to keep the stats realistic, but it’s always a bit of a gamble if you like to play on the go and your wi-fi isn’t absolutely perfect.

I wish they would bring the Bioshock Collection to Switch. This current selection of Switch games....it's just not for me.

@Lalivero I hear you. Even at $20 the game is pathetic, let alone their usual asking price of $60 digital. I kept hoping that we'd get Fire Pro from Spike Chunsoft instead, but it's been a long wait so far on what seems like a common sense port. It's all a shame too, because aside from the WWE license, 2K's support for Switch has been great.

@HeroponRiki I disagree. I have the game both on steam and Switch and prefer it on switch. I play it monthly with a friend of me via wireless lan like a game of chess, a few hours each. It’s not poorly optimized, it runs very good. Blast to play, also the expansions.

The only moments where the game is a bit hopping are the very late stages of the game where a lot happens on your screen.

I kinda want to get Civilization 6.... haven’t played the series since 2. Though I see it’s only $20 on amazon....

Civilization VI is the only thing from 2k I guess I want. Why is there no XCOM or Bioshock on Switch?

NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 & Civilization VI are 2 of my MOST played games on the Switch.
I highly, HIGHLY recommend each of them if you are at all interested - they deliver!

I bought the retail Civ 6 for Christmas in 2018 and might get the digital just so I don't have to get up off the couch to start a game .

I don't have the Civ 6 expansion yet, so this looks like the perfect time to pick it up! (I do have the DLC as I LOVE the scenarios - the Australia one is my personal favorite)

@HeroponRiki thats not true.Stop telling a lying sir.I played almost 100 hours and had no problems.Its a good optimized game.Yes there is a tiny bugs but not enough to affect the gameplay.

Civilization VI is an amazing game. I've poured 70 plus hours into that game. $35.99 for a game with incredible replay value is a must purchase for anyone on the fence.

Have the issues with WWE 2K18 been addressed since the mess it was at launch? Is it worth $20?

WWE2K on switch is unplayable. It’s the worst gaming experience I’ve ever had in 30+ years of gaming.

It does have some fairly amusing glitches though so there’s that I guess...

If you haven't tried it yet, NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 is like a mix between NBA Jam & NBA Street.

@Savino totally agree, I'm holding out for the 50% mark on civ expansion. I bought main game for $20 about 6 weeks ago but won't play it without the expansion.

@Lalivero WWE 2K18 at the price of free isn't worth the HD space it takes up. A Fire Pro port should have happened by now.

they need to give civ 6 dlc a real discount.

To clarify, Civ 6 is great. Not the Switch version though. It crashes frequently late game, keeps getting game breaking bugs patched INTO the game, and takes 5+ minutes to load (which wouldn't be that big of an issue, if not for the crashing). You can get some fun on the Switch version, but only if you keep the settings very conservative like not going above standard map size, keeping disasters on low etc.

@cyrus_zuo nba playgrounds 2 & 1 are in my top 5 most played and 1 even features again at number 6 as they had two separate versions. They are massively underrated. Good to see someone else appreciate them.

@guamyankee absolutely. I've played it alone quite a bit and my son loves to play alone, it's just I really enjoy it with a group

So this is 2K desperately wanting to sell away their trash? After the refusal to gives us WWE 2K19, then never bother to fix WWE 2K18, and is now ruining WWE 2K20, yeah that's three strikes already 2K, you're out. Go elsewhere to sell your trash.

@ARPK : I've kept mentioning here about Fire Pro. Literally, I would never play another game on my Switch if released. Customization and addictive gameplay is reminiscent of the WWF No Mercy Days. I would pay anything for a physical release.

20 bucks is a steal, go for it. I’ve sunken 250 hours into Civ 6, so the only downside of it is that it will take over your life for a while, haha.

Really eyeing that civ 6 expansion pack...
