It sounds a bit like a 'meh' release, not impressed with what we've heard about the story and setting so far. Will probably wait for it to be on sale, or for next years game.

I really like 8bitdo's stuff but that does not look like the most ergonomic thing on earth.

I'd prefer a Wii mini to be honest. The n64 catalogue doesn't hold up that well, and the Wii has a lot of hidden gems.

Edit: actual Wii mini is only £20 on eBay, never mind.

The movies ace! And, speaks to a time in cinema when anything was possible, so long as it leant into a grunge based youth culture that believed the Apocalypse would have a lot of purple and be based in Australia.

Switch should at least get the nvidia shield HD remasters, both galaxy and Zelda would clearly sell like hot potatoes and fill the lack of releases scheduled post Pokémon.

On switch just been playing Splatoon 2, and might jump into some crash team racing in a bit and then some spyro trilogy.

This just makes me want a Kirbys Epic Yarn rerelease, I might now have to go play that on my wii.

It's a little spartan other then Pokemon really, I know this version of Olympic Games is a bigger thing then the previous Mario Vs Sonic titles, but even then it could have used a bit more pep.

I like retro gaming but this looks way toooo retro, as in gameplay and characters could be a genesis game but not a classic one, they've leaned into it to far.

It looks kinda good, 135 holes might actually be worth a drop.

Yer, that camera is in no way terrifying. But, this at least puts tech in peoples hands, like DVD's entering the country hopefully this rapidly spins out into a blackmarket/hacked machines brining in the outside world.

Code veronica for puzzles and story, resident evil 4 Wii for gameplay. Also, 4 Wii should be a separate category because the gameplay is so different and just so much better for the motion controls, its one of the few games where the concept truly shines through.

Love the resident evil series, tempted to say dead space / dino crisis give the formula a run for its money though, both are basically resident evil games.

@RadioHedgeFund Yep, an open world Pokemon Octopath Traveller is basically the dream, a dream the switch and nintendo could have made happen. Though, thematically might work better with digimon.

The pixel art pokemon in that ad...Yer, that's the sort on innovation in art direction they could have looked into for the game.

If it releases I'll pick this up, would be a fun thing to learn, and I can remember learning to type with similar games.

As others have said it shoud be the x360/ps3 gtav, gta 3, although a lot of fun in its day was rough at release and remains rough now.

Always loved these games, they have a really nice aesthetic, the one on Wii is a total classic if you get the chance to play it.

Also, if they do klonoa can they maybe do Tomba?

Odd to see resident evil 4 so high on this list when the Wii added so much to the title gameplay'wise.

The bit of me that is ashamed of sitting at a desk all day might buy this, even in the knowledge I'll use it twice at most...

The switch has really emphasised the form factor for me, if they added in a package that could also use their external graphics boosting dock I'd be really interested in this.

20 in one go, so I'd guess at special events like directs, I'm fine with that the quality of some of the titles released monthly wasn't great.

Super Metroid, I am going to play the whole game again, probably won't target speed running it, I just want to play it again for the first time in a little while. Its hard to pick a favourite game because it depends on mood, but Super Metroid is simply incredible and it or Fez grab the mantle for me.

I have no idea what's coming with this direct! This month let alone quarter is absolutely packed with great stuff. Though, hoping for an fps with competitive multiplayer and SNES games, that would round of my current crop nicely, and barring sports games, I could just play switch.

Yer, I can't wait to jump back into this, and viii's plot is significantly less messed up then x's (x-2 is actually a good game), cough insert giant dead daddy joke cough.

Viii has its flaws but it wears them with an epic pride. The cast is also by far the best of any final fantasy, and Squall gets a bad rap, he's no more brooding then sullen Cloud.

Played it as a starfox game and that was really good.

I love a fun fps but I really want one with multiplayer, so a pass on this from me, even if the bro humour is deeply nostalgic.

At that price, considering how good it is, its a must. Might have to space September's purchases out simply for lack of time.

Final fantasy 8, spyro, dragon quest, this and a preorder of the physical river city girls are musts. Links awakening and ni no I'll wait for reviews/later purchase.

@The-Chosen-one I found the frame rate really choppy when it gets going, and the models and textures are very ugly. Plus random server issues on every match I played, didn't get all the way to the end on any of the dozen or so I played.

This looks pretty fun, the controls sound pretty similar to mount and blades, will try the demo out for sure.

Edit: gave it a go, not so great, the controls are unwieldy, its very ugly and slow, and the server infrastructures poor.

Would also want Hercules with the package.

The art styles really fun, I'd never heard of this before.

The Japanese version by an absolute mile, reminds me of kochikame and a whole 70's/80's kitsch aesthetic.

I'd love madden or the NHL games to come to switch. NHL is even already on an older engine then madden and FIFA so might be an easier port.

EA were inevitably going to change tack as the install base grew and it became apparent the switch was a success, its what made the comments the other month seem so odd. I'm personally really excited for potentially more sports and fps games on the console, not sure which of ea's fps games would be the easiest to port but of the current line up I'd imagine they must be looking at Apex Legends.

This and windjammers 2 are the games I really want to play next.

Hopefully shadow drops of Castle Crashers, Windjammers 2 and Streets of Rage, but that might all be a bit much to ask.

Ow this must be coming to switch online, thinking on it. With the SNES controller listed could be part of online service revamp.

Straight up rereleasing of soundtracks is probably out of order, especially as many are available commercially, but people recreating them in interesting ways is fans in action. Nintendo won't be able to act in this way especially on music forever, lots of places have copyright expiry dates for music which will start to come into play.
