The Great Ace Attorney is approaching its court date - oh alright, release date - in Japan, and Capcom is ramping up its marketing for the new 3DS entry. While we may be hoping for news of localisation, in the meantime we can enjoy the attention the game is getting in its homeland.
With a 19th Century setting and Sherlock Holmes appearing, it's not short of quirkiness, but some fresh videos promoting the title make sure to keep things lighthearted. Two rather loud but well known Japanese comedians have teamed up for the commercials below - Takeyama Takanori and Hironari Yamazaki; we rather like the results, reminding us a little of anarchic adverts we used to see worldwide in generations gone by.
If you prefer more conventional marketing, below is a TV ad followed by a three minute showcase of the game.

@Ryu_Niiyama '100 dollars for a pin'

I honestly just want it for the pin and the soundtrack (and the game of course) but otherwise it is a gross waste of funds....still on the fence. I really want that pin.
I...have no idea what they're saying.
@NintendoFan64
I don't think it would make the video's any funnier if you did :s
@Ryu_Niiyama
Well... i'm sure you must be a huuuuuuuge fan of this series if you're willing to pay that much on a limited edition of a 3ds game...or any game for that matter!
Japanese commercials always have some type of charm to them.
Hey fansub groups, translate these please!
It was already funny just watching them, it would be funnier if I could understand what they're saying.
I understand Japanese a little bit..The second commercial:
"I found you, Criminal!"
"I'm the lawyer!"
"With this face?!" (Not sure about this one)
"My face got nothing to do with it!!''
(Announcer talks about the release date)
"With this, It's OK!"
"I said I'm not the culprit!"
"OK~"
"I said you're wrong!"
Not sure about the last line, But he basically deny something, like his guilt or something..
They should do an American version with Key and Peele! That would be hysterical, and probably actually sell games.
Oh, I don't know this guy... granted, I only watched mostly Gaki no Tsukai and Downtown show, but sometime other comedian will show up, never seen this guy though. That said, I'm happy this game got some commercial and I hope it did well.
I need this game!!!!!
Bring this game to west soon!
