In just a couple days, the final DLC characters for Super Smash Bros. will be made available, at last signaling the end of the current generation of Super Smash Bros. Even though the roster is larger and more diverse than it has ever been in past games, there's always more popular video game characters that don't quite make the cut for one reason or another.
Smashified is a YouTube channel that focuses on these "What if?" scenarios, featuring time lapses of popular video game characters being drawn in the art style of Super Smash Bros. as if they were additional fighters in the roster. A recent video was just posted showcasing Lilac - of Freedom Planet fame – drawn in this style, and it's worth noting that this particular one was actually commissioned by GalaxyTrail, the game's developer. Check it out:
What do you think? Who would you like to see 'Smashified' next? What characters would you have liked to see make it into Smash? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Maybe next time?
The Smashified Team dropped some hints to her on their twitter account. With that said...called it!
I have never even heard of this game.
@Tsuchinoko If you're a fan of any Genesis platformer like Ristar, Gunstar Heroes, Vector Man, Sonic, ect I definitely recommend you to pick Freedom Planet up esspecially since one of its free DLC is nearly finish. It had to been my favorite game of 2014 and on my top 10 list of platformers.
@Tsuchinoko Today is your lucky day. The eShop is awaiting your patronage with open doors, and your body is ready for transport to the glory days of yore.
@Tsuchinoko Now you have! So...please take what @Chaoz and @LemonSlice have stated into consideration.
I would be okay with this. Shovel Knigh5 evennmore so though for Indies. I like Freedom Planet but it does sometimes feel like some teen Sonic fan with a devian art account gathered enough money to write an odd story.
These guys are soooo talented! Wow!
"and it's worth noting that this particular one was actually commissioned by GalaxyTrail, the game's developer"
Fan tears-worthy content all around, then. Not only for Lilac (or indie characters, for that matter) not being in Smash, but also due to Freedom Planet's makers commissioning their wish to see their character in the Smash style to the same [admittedly talented] guy who trolled the entire Smash fanbase with Rayman just to promote his work.
This is painful and awesome at the same time. Thankfully we're getting two characters this thursday!
I still have the demo to this game. Have they fixed the bugs in the full version?
Geez, this reminds me of how tedious 3DS Max was in the oughts...
