Since their inception, amiibo have been a smash hit with fans new and old, but one idea that Nintendo still hasn't been fully realised is a game that utilises every one of these NFC delights. It's true that certain games like Hyrule Warriors recognise can use all amiibo, but it doesn't recognise them individually.
Thankfully the indies have got our backs, and so in the video below you can check out what we believe to be the very first instance of a Wii U & 3DS game that recognises every single amiibo and treats them all uniquely. You'll have to watch the video if you want to find out more, otherwise all of our editing and filming efforts would have gone to waste, and nobody wants that.

LOL
Beat me to it!
I'm oddly sold on this game now! Reminds me of retro word searches. And it can use amiibo, whats not to like.
Yep, this is 100% guaranteed the video of the week. 😆
The video's title was very misleading. What I saw was what could easily have been portrayed in an article. I believe this is an example of what's known by the internet savvy as 'clickbait'. I won't be fooled again (probably)
It was good clickbait though xD
I don't like being clickbaited.
But I can't be mad at Alex ._.
I found Buttbutt really fast... Didn't think I'd be posting that 1st sentence in a Nintendo comments section today!
We say POW-gi. Like ka-pow
And don't worry, transatlantic BUTTBUTT fans, Word Puzzles by POWGI hits the North American eShop this week!
That image alone was worth the click.
For those of you who despise clickbait articles (myself included), I watched the video to help you avoid this glorified spam:
The game is called Word Puzzles by Powgi and Nintendolife has already reported on it (in text form) in the article linked below:
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/11/word_puzzles_by_powgi_will_include_support_for_all_amiibo_on_3ds
Clickbait
Uh huh...
Clickbait though it may be, it was still fun. Lighten up, everyone.
I am still waiting on a game that lets me use amiibo (say, Smash series) to bring in characters into an RPG setting. Where's my Super RPG Bros?
As clickbait as this article gets, I just love the video, it had me laughing several times (probably more than it should ). I guess this video's humour is inversely proportional to the the quality of that ugly music track played in the background lol
P.S.: no, I wasn't faster than you, Alex.
I found Buttbutt very quickly!
Loved the video, Alex. I don't care if it's clickbait, you will always be first in my heart when it comes to funny Nintendo videos and, er... "news"?
Gastly money box?
Is clickbait word of the moment on here?! Lighten up people :-/
Indies do what nintendon't.
I don't think this counts. It only "recognizes each Amiibo individually" in that it reads the registered nickname. Ultimately, it still doesn't distinguish between a Mega Yarn Yoshi and an AC:HHD villager card.
@ottospooky It's not click bait. The articleaning title stated exactly what you saw in the video, a game that uses every amiibo in an unique way.
Edit: LOL I was wrong nevermind it's clickbait 😂
When I need a smile, can't go wrong with an Alex video. Thanks!
Can't Mario Party 10 technically use all the amiibo?
And here I thought naming my Shovel Knight Amiibo "ButtButt" an original and clever nickname. >_<
I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm still gonna make a comment with the word "clickbait" to fit in with the cool kids... Did it work, guys?
@ikki5 : So can amiibo Tap, Hyrule Warriors, Chibi-Robo: Zip Lash, Yoshi's Woolly World etc.
I have to keep reminding myself this is not a serious games journalism site, it's a professional blog, and the people who write for it don't consider themselves journalists.
Excellently pointless.
Rule number 1, no fun allowed on Nintendo Life Alex. You should know this by now!
Am I the only one who has been inspired to purchase this game? And not for the amiibo functionality (sorry Alex). The puzzles look interesting, and I love me some word search.
....
I like big Buttbutts and I cannot lie.
@PtM I can only find the buttbutt he found...
Click bait
I think it was worth it for the thumbnail alone.
We could have just had a 2 sentence article with no video. "Game_Name supports amiibo. It doesn't make much sense why or how it's doing it, but it does it"
LOL
Make a video where you swim in amiibos like Scrooge McDuck does with money.
Thanks, Alex. Now I know what to nickname my Shovel Knight amiibo.
Alex...its that you are one sexy and gorgeous demi-god, otherwise I would slap you for click baiting us poor humans.
That was the greatest bonus round ever.
@Vandy
There's nothing misleading, the game does use every amiibo.
@Franklin
I didn't say it was misleading, I just said I was saving people the trouble of having to submit to the clickbait just to find out something that has already been printed here on Nintendolife.
I don't know what you're all talking about. I stared at it for hours and I can't find 'clickbait' in the wordsearch...
I knew it. I received a email from the company stating that their will recognize every single amiibo individually like a week a go.
I don't think the article is in anyway misleading. Amiibo unlock certain features in supported games. This game unlocks a number of words from each individual amiibo. Granted the game isn't a "toybox" Disney Infinity style game but it is the first to use all of the individual amiibo, setting a foundation for a larger game in the future. This is like the wheel (granted not as useful) and now Nintendo can make the car.
That picture on the front page is so funny.
Every article is technically clickbait, such a daft term.
Graphics are so overrated?
You did overhype it Alex -_-
I think he undersold it personally...
im tired of seeing this thumbnnail on the homepage
BUTTBUTT. LOL!
@Zanark darn you beat me to it
