@Zebetite groupthink been around a long time, you might have limited experiences in life which may explain your take on it being some niche term. Regardless my categorization the article does a disservice to basic journalism to not include a short paragraph to why the uproar. The article assumes every reader is against NFTs with no further discussion.. aka groupthink

an article blowing up about NFTs with not one sentence about why these employees hate them or what the online bully hate towards them is. Sorry but an article shouldn't assume all readers are on some same groupthink wavelength

the problem with crafting to learn games is that you only have so many resources and you end up at a certain point saving the game and trying, then reloading, trying again, etc etc because getting rare ingredients are well, rare and people's time is even more rare.

@Paej13 I agree, it is a joy to be in this world. The game isn't designed to be super hard and the in game economy is really generous. It is like having fun at an amusement park with a few scary rides thrown in. Only wish the text chat dialog wasn't so stutter like. Click click click for each word it seems. Other games have done dialog much more easy on the brain. Like Fire Emblem or Octopath.

@ReaperMelia I don't really get the pay to win part. Yeah the gambling to get the characters you want because it is random is the trap. But they give you a lot for free and paying a little bit of money to boost things isn't terrible. I don't know much about the monthly game pass but seems like many companies have gone down that route in a way to keep fresh content going. I rather have a full game price and some DLC instead without the trickery so I do agree with you there.

was really well done in many ways.. I played for a year or so but it had so much content that I got burned out. Just amazing value in that game.

@Dingelhopper If you play the game, you see how the town starts to integrate pokemon with them and how quirky it can be. It is the story side and not the core gameplay side.

the game got legs.. glad they are pushing it with confident zany ads.

also I've been around some lame QA teams that do nothing all week and then come Friday post all kinds of bugs to fix so they get weekend overtime pay when it could of been done during the week.

The point is you can mod but not use them in a way the IP rights holder doesn't want you to. Plastering videos on you tube is not something Nintendo is going to allow. Make a private access server and a mod club.

in the early days me and my gf got harassed by cops 5 times. Wonder if they just went after us because we were Team Instinct and was holding down all the gyms back when that was worth doing

It'll come out sooner than people think. They were going to just keep adding DLC but needed to make a few adjustments in the gameplay. That is to mean not a brand new game, just stuff that couldn't be in DLC. So the overall quality checking will be way lower than if making a brand new game from scratch.
Whatever they don't have complete they'll box up for DLC so I feel an early summer release could happen

hope Nintendo takes his ideas and code and put it in the next game and don't give him any credit or money and then wait for the hypocrites that say pirating doesn't hurt try to say anything about it

me and my gf waited in line to get our Switches on day 1 and I also bought stock and let it ride for about $8000 gain as we just played Zelda the first year. I don't think I will ever spend $8000 on Switch gear and games so thanks Nintendo for a wonder system that paid me to play and enjoy.

@Crono1973 imagine not getting paid for your creation while people enjoy it. That is the endgame and yes this did happen widespread on PCs in the early days and killed most of cool gaming companies.

It's not worth it for Nintendo to do print runs of everything old so a few players can grab them in bargain bins. They protect their IP so maybe someday they bring it back the way they want to.

Nintendo only makes games so they have to protect their stuff more than the other companies.

One of the few games in my rotation is Golf Story. Totally digging it and glad I discovered this old gem. The sound track is brilliant just by itself.

@ALinkttPresent Lode Runner was a magnificent game on that system ... I think Lemmings came out around then too unless that was already in the Amiga years

My vast C64 collection was the only system I ever gave away.. did it when I moved on to an Amiga and gave to a friend of a friend to help them out.
I pirated so many games back then that that was the game.. just aquiring everything.
Now I never pirate anything since you should reward the devs for making something you enjoy and I hardly have the time to play the games I buy, let alone use up more time to pirate games that I would have even less time than without them
