@SabreLevant The reason I am is when things die they are dead. I've seen the damages of piracy on creative people's lived from the 80's till now. In games and music the most.

Look how adamant and loud people are on trans-issues the past 10 years while the well being of all creatives gets talked down as 'you taking it too seriously'. . I never say buy things you dont like or value but support what you do and protect all that create. And if a corporation abuses their workers call them out, but dont support stealing work.

@Yoshi3 Reused assests? the game added two thirds of its world (sky and underworld) and massive new physics systems. The amount of stuff taken for granted by gamers is beyond spoiled.

@SabreLevant yeah, trigger finger on this site. Shoot first , ask questions maybe later, maybe not. Piracy is pathetic. If you saw someone casually stealing from a store, from your house, from your bank and then acting like it's normal just because they feel entitled to whatever it is then you'd probably get sick of it as well

@SonicMC sure when there are a lot less fans and a lot less payroll and a lot less complexity in the show then it is more a cottage feel.. but that puts them vunerable and just one or two disasters from dying as well

Are people on here those that never goes out? Small venue concerts are $60, large are over $100 a ticket.. movies are $12 or higher, a good restaurant trip for two will cost $80-100.. But a game you play 100 hours, that had many talented people working on it's for years, no thats an outrage to pay $60-80... unreal

@whmchrish Well what else do you steal that has gone up in price? Nothing else except entertainment? Make a real statement and steal from the other industries so you can support those that work to bring joy in your thieving life.

Gamestops are dropping like flies so take advantage if you plan on it.. I had to replace the fan on my switch and it still gets way hot so I'll keep it around for ring fit and odd stuff like using a TV longways on a table to play pinball games.

Looks like the reality of high speed storage is needed and that costs a lot right now. In a couple years the prices might come down and cheaper to make these advance carts again

Me and my gf should get invites from Nintendo. . if not perhaps eBay... people hate but they'll pay crazy delivery fees with grubhub for their fastfood order in this country

@BrokenCiv That's a bit harsh mate. I've only had one bad encounter that I needed customer service to step in over 20 years...and they were swift and effective.

I've also sold many a thing on eBay with happy customers.

Just look at prices for concerts & sports events..

there are plenty of people swimming in money.

All that money from overspending governments and also low interest rate loans fills the world with money that doesn't evaporate unless every country and company starts paying down their debts which they never do.

Nintendo could of charged $600 on launch and then gave a sale to $400 by Christmas. They could even say the plan openly and it would of still sold out.

@Pat_trick Nintendo is high quality, why should they be humbled when they are producing at a high level? Their games are outstanding. You can play bargain bin games if you want.

@Misima Who is 'we'? I dont think there are that many people seeing the pricing out of line. It's great value compared to stuff like property taxes.

@MysticX the long run will probably be another 8 years.. the switch 2 will do great in that context.

Nintendo didn't sell every original switch in the first month.

the people complaining probably have 10 games or more they hardly ever played. They want to have things but dont want to use them.

@Banjo- I never really got the anti-consumer sentiment people imply on Nintendo. They only do games and need to protect their IP and value at all costs.

@sixrings I'd say look at in a wider timeline. You dont need it now but once you do that 4k DLSS and superfast storage will be there to ride for the next 8 years

@Dr_Awkward The cracks in the system been going on for a long time, the dollar endgame was already in motion. Look at historic timelines of world reserve currency going back 600 years as the baton gets passed.

@sixrings It's not overpriced for what it is.. it might not have the value add you need to justify but it is inline with the tech and current economy

@darkswabber every government worker gets cost of living increases even during recessions.. big government is the #1 cause of inflation

if you already have 4k TV and monitors then grab switch2. The OG might still be the better portable for most games since its smaller and lighter on the wrists

The 4k DLSS performance is key. If that stays smooth that is really the only benchmark needed for next 10 years.

@roboshort it's deeper than that. No world currency lasts forever so these moves are to jumpstart Americas manufacturing base again before the dollar loses more influence. Because if you wait till that happens and still dont make your own stuff you are screwed

deals will be hashed out in the next few weeks and back on track. I am glad the Switch 2 does 4k which will be plenty good for a long cycle

@Medic_alert So why don't you support what you want to support and stop supporting Nintendo if you think they are evil? Do you have a better way of running a company for as long as they have without getting bought out and turned into a shell of what it was? Do you want Microsoft or Apple to buy Nintendo? Nintendo does need to make profits to stay around long term since there will always be lean times.

@the_beaver I value the labor I do so I don't mind paying for the entertainment I choose. I support the wonderful job Nintendo does and I don't need to own 100 games. I don't have the time for it even if I got them for free. I do rail against bloated governments thinking and saying what they feel is best with everyone's money when more than half goes into their friends and families pockets

Wonderful for remapping 3rd party games that might have been different with the xy ab switcheroos that you are used too

@RaTheGrey I dont get it, growing up in the 80s you just get a part time job to get money to buy a guitar and amp and then quit the job.. same with getting a computer or whatever. Part time jobs are everywhere. They can just be a few days or weeks for whatever.

@the_beaver I will, why not get a part time job if this is some huge expense? a few hours a week will solve emptiness in your wallet and character!

@Cry_Zero I don't agree. Nintendo cares 100% in my view. They provide the best gaming experiences in the simplest form. I enjoy games on other systems but they all seem to nag and distract you more than ever. Nintendo leaves you alone.

@Mando44646 there's 40 years of games to play so you'll be fine. There's no rush.

me and gf are doing the 499 direct from Nintendo. Seems the best way to get into. No rush for new pro controller, we waited years before we ever got them for the first switch. And also no rush for expanding storage, we tend to play the heck out of the games we get before moving to the next.
