I tried to play Witcher 3 after BOTW but it was just so restrictive compared to it I just waited for TOTK

4K is huge for Switch2.. so many people said no way and are quiet now. DLSS is perfect to make the magic happen. Compare this to someone trying to do steam 4k on a budget and you will start to understand. Some people pay $20 a month for geforceNOW and a $200 nvidia Shield just to get 4k on the cheap compared to building a PC rig. Even the steamdeck isn't as powerful and costs more.

I'm kinda digging that a lot of folks here are dissing the switch 2, it will be a nicer comment board on the exclusives without all the crazy hate.. like come on, this was the longest ever wait for an upgrade and you could of saved $10 a month for 50 months since they started talking about it

@Burning_Spear It was playable, anyone with a clear head knew that it was going to have problems on the old hardware but took the good with the bad. You are fine for waiting for a slick version just that was never going to happen on the old hardware. Their coders aren't that great.

@Fake-news Thats a huge collection.. me and my gf only got 40 physical carts between us over the 8 years and we lean more physical than digital. I'll probably sell some other collectables to pay for the couple Switch2s we'll get

The prices don't bother me, just look at world inflation. I think gamers get price shock because so many free to play games mask what real games cost to make. Many Switch games give 50-500 hours of play time so just buy what you will actually play or trade with friends. The new digital trading seems like a great opportunity for a crowdsource web portal to for players to meet up and trade.

biggest problem I have with games like this is the 20 minute slow walk till a boss battle that you can't save the game anywhere which people will say, just read the internet on how to win.. which is not my style. So the game stays unplayed. Maybe a miracle happens and then include some quality of life save game options

@Clyde_Radcliffe it pretty much is the real world now, crazy and emotional like before but it replaced the folks that live virtually in their minds all day

@Dev-N I couldnt get past their family scene and turned it off.. already tired of the Jack black gang and that family scene was just mean for no reason. No humor even. Just pushing family hate for lots of kids to see.

Excellent! The virtual game card is a brilliant solution. It looked like the very last part of the Metroid clip was rendered on switch 2. The Pokemon looks perfect. Everything else is just icing as we see what stuff pops up next week. Any switch 2 exclusives wouldnt be today anyway

community item rebalancing is usually skewed to some bias way of playing. Sometimes just let the Devs vision stick so the character of the game can shine

if it was up to the community, the blue shell in Mario kart would of been nerfed

@Ashunera84 but why? It's more important to sell Switch 2 than just metroid to a smallish group on old hardware. They would get more new fans to metroid if it dazzles on the new hardware.

This lines up to be a Switch 2 exclusive. As all these people said, Metroid isnt a big hitter, so that would be the title to focus as a newgen showcase. A smaller group of fans to experiment with. If it really pushes the hardware the fans would rejoyce that they got that level of effort.

@LastFootnote the internet is flooded now current sabre rattling but certain things get protected for various reasons. Like dairy has a 7% tariff but jumps to 270% after a certain amount to avoid flooding their market and to protect their farmers. That goes on everywhere like many countries blame China for over producing solar panels and dumping the everywhere so no one else can compete. Same with cars, steel, corn. Trump is using it as a tactic for other things as well to try to get their help with border patrols, drug trafficking. Basically America is headed to bankrupt and this is a method to balance trade budgets and also incentives to build more in America like Taiwan chip manufacturing building plants in America and even Volkswagon building their new Scout brand in south carolina.
