EA might not have released many games on the Switch so far, but it looks like it could be making an effort to improve the situation. If you've been wondering about the original Unravel game since the second one arrived on the platform last March, it's now reportedly been rated for the Switch and multiple other platforms by the Brazillian Classification Board.
The confusing part of all this is the fact it's been available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC since 2016. Could it perhaps be a new and improved version of sorts? When the second game was originally announced for Nintendo's hybrid platform, there were already a lot of questions about where the first one was, so it's about time Switch owners were given the chance to play this on their system of choice.
If you're not familiar with Unravel, it was originally part of the EA Originals line - with all profits going back to the developer, Coldwood Interactive. The title itself is a puzzle-platformer and stars a small character named Yarny. If this was officially revealed for Switch, it would seemingly follow on from EA's announcement of Burnout Paradise Remastered.
Is the original Unravel a game you would like to play on the Switch? What other EA games would you like to see released? Leave a comment down below.

I liked Unraveled 2 on Switch, so I'll probably get this eventually. Just surprised that EA is just starting to (kinda) support the Switch now past FIFA + 1 indie every year.
Hopefully we'll see Sims 4 in the future on Switch.
Nice, would definitely get this after finishing the second one.
I was buying Unravel 2 just today... Went for Cuphead instead (seemed a more indispensable game)
Did made the right choice? Seems a fun game to play with my wife.
Before those come in and start saying they won’t buy this because EA, know you’re only hurting the little guy and not the big bad publisher.
@brandonbwii First time I've heard of EA Originals... unfortunately, many of the titles that I expected to be on there were not on there.
Definitely up for getting this, if it is really coming to Switch. Both Unraveled games are pretty good.
@Zequio Not really comparable, since they're two completely different types of games. Cuphead is basically a side-scrolling shooter, and Unraveled is a side-scrolling puzzle platformer, so the only thing they have in common, is the side-scrolling.
But having said that, both games come highly recommended, so if you have any cash left, you could definitely do worse than also getting Unraveled 2. And trust me: that is also a really enjoyable game to play with your wife. Unless of course she doesn't like platform puzzlers...
It’s about god darn time.
I love the second one, would buy it for sure. Especially if they threw it up on a physical release over in Europe
I greatly recommend Unravel Two to play with your wife!
Yes please. But man if this is true it sure did take them long enough. The second game is a better experience I say, but they are both pretty exceptional in their own right. Definitely hope there's a physical like the second one received.
I loved the second one so will definitely get.
If true, I think someone at EA FINALLY got fired for sleeping on Switch. Sucks that it took 3 years, but hey... better late than never!
@NookMiler What do you mean? Like what?
No thanks, you can keep it.
This is great while your at EA please make a new entry to Bloom Blox I think it can work very well for the Nintendo Switch.
Unravel one and two pack!
Oh my god, yes! I love the second game and would get the first one in an instant!
Bring it on. Gimme some Mass Effect/Dragon Age Trilogies too.
Blimey EA! Welcome to the party. We were beginning to think you'd not show. But please, behave yourself and respect others.
I wanted to buy this, and the sequel, on PS4, but I boycott anything with EA on the label. Since Dragon Age 2 I have bought one EA game, and that was Anthem. Only because amazon were selling it for a fiver, so the fact it was horrible didn't bother me much.
I do wish the developers of Unravel well tho, there's just no EA stink in my Switch/PS4 libraries
These new games are great and all but what I really want is EA to get someone like Dotemu to tart up Desert, Jungle, Urban, Soviet and Nuclear Strike in HD and release them in one big bundle.
@graysoncharles 😂😂😂 isanely infuriatingly fun. I never did complete it but its there for me when i decide to go back to it.
@RadioHedgeFund love them games. Often boot up my snes mini for some strike action.
Played this at a friend's house a while back. First and second. Both good games but I won't support EA, so no thanks.
I will get it. Here's hoping EA will bring other titles to the Switch "Star Wars" and or Madden, NHL. I though am expecting 2K to release an American football game on the Switch soon, which will be better than Madden.
@biglittlejake I don't much care about there sport games but I would love to see EA port Star Wars: Fallen Order for the Nintendo Switch.
Have you played Fallen Order? I had it for the Xbox One, it didn't keep my attention as much as the classic Star Wars games did.
@biglittlejake I haven't played the game but I did watch some let's plays videos from kNIGHTWING01/kwingsletsplays channel and I like for what I see so far. As a Star Wars fan of the original and current trilogy I would like to play Star Wars: Fallen Order if it does come to Nintendo Switch.
Cool. I’ll buy it if true.
You certainly made the right choice.
Where were all of these “hashtag never EA” peeps during the 1980’s and 1990’s when Electric Arts was at it’s moral and ethical worst?
I haven't bought a game from EA since NFS on the Wii U. Their disdain for Nintendo and abusive comments towards customers stopped me buying any more of their games. With the amount of trash they release I really haven't missed much.
That would be nice. I aren't that far into the second one though.
