Re: 'The World Ends With You' Director Leaves Square Enix After 29 Years

CR0J0

The TWEWY games are my favorite of all time. I've sunk so many hours into them. With him gone I'm guessing that's the end of that series for good this time, so I'm excited to see whatever he ends up working on next!

Also if you haven't played TWEWY or Neo: TWEWY I highly recommend them, the soundtrack and art style alone make it worth checking them out for.

Re: Nintendo Download: 15th June (North America)

Birdie Wing's story mode is held together by duct tape. The game itself is actually pretty fun, but there's no voice acting and the translation is stilted and full of grammatical and spelling errors. It's really funny. I'm having fun but it's odd because it is such a plain golf game in comparison to the over the top nature of the anime.

Re: Grim Guardians: Demon Purge Is Currently Unavailable On The US eShop

CR0J0

So I had downloaded the demo and really liked it, so I was going to buy it. I deleted the demo and then opened the eshop, only to find the game had completely vanished. Sadly now I can't buy the game or get the demo back. There's no mention of it on the Inti Creates Twitter (though their tweets are in Japanese so I can't 100% tell if they've said anything about it).

I still want to buy it, otherwise I have to wait until April to buy a physical copy. Weird stuff.

Re: The First Hands-On With Sonic Frontiers Has Dropped

CR0J0

I think the game looks like a lot of fun! I'm one of the few that was excited by the first two videos, so I don't really get all of the negativity. It looks like you get to be Sonic and run fast without a million little things suddenly halting your speed. I'm super into it, really excited for this game!

Re: Poll: What's The Best 3D Sonic Game?

CR0J0

I personally love Sonic Lost World on 3DS, it does a great job of slowing things down but making you FEEL fast, so it still controls well. This list is making me want to check out the Wii U version because it's way prettier haha

Re: WayForward's New Switch Game Is Bakugan Champions Of Vestroia, Coming In November

CR0J0

This is an odd choice, I would have understood a new YuGiOh game after the sales of the last one did well on Switch.

From what I remember of the Bakugan game my neighbors had when I was younger this game had like zero strategic depth, add in the fact that the majority of that trailer was the character running around while nothing happens, I'm probably going to pass.

Re: Review: Gensou SkyDrift - A Mechanically Sound Mario Kart Clone That's Lacking In Longevity

CR0J0

This game is a blast, someone please buy it and exchange friend codes with me, I will play with you.

I bought it because it just looked so ridiculous I couldn't resist. The drifting is different than Mario Kart, and the game punishes you for doing it poorly, there are also 2 key differences from Mario Kart in my opinion:

-Items are not random placement, you have to hit the boosts on track to get energy back for spells.
-Both characters can stock items, so the switching means you want to drive fast but also stock the items so that later on in the race you can fight back.

Overall I feel that the game does a better job of making me think about strategy in the races and learning the course because the racetracks and the items remove a lot of the random elements of Mario Kart.

To me this felt like a more difficult Mario Kart. When it works though, it feels incredible. The review is right that there is NOBODY online. Please play with me lol.

Last thing, the story mode is literally screens of just text sometimes, it makes zero sense, and is extremely short. If you buy this it is literally just for the racing.

Re: Talking Point: The Sound Strategy Behind 2DS Points To A Switch Mini

I'm interested, I want to buy animal crossing for my girlfriend, so a cheaper switch is a welcome prospect for me, once shes done she probably wont touch it so then I will have a spare switch to take on tougher trips ie concerts (between sets not while bands play) and hiking. Then, when the pro model comes out I can buy that too and mortgage my soul to Nintendo. I dont know how it could get any better than a more powerful switch that could play games at the level of ps4 and ps5 next gen. Like you guys it's only a matter of time now think about it, we may have peaked here. It would be more concerning were it not so gosh darn wonderful.

To add context, I didn't play any games on the ps3/xbox360 era of consoles. I only had handhelds growing up, so every time a port is announced for switch, it's a new game to me. It's been a wild 2 years haha

Re: The Sonic Movie Gets Delayed Until 2020 To Get Things 'Just Right'

CR0J0

I'm actually really impressed with the way they are handling this. This is so much work and it's gotta be tough to tear down something you already put so much work into.

I feel kind of bad for hating it so much now, hopefully this new design is liked by people. At this point I'm more interested in the underdog tale of the vfx artists than the movie itself lol

Re: Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers Officially Confirmed For Switch

CR0J0

This is a no-buy for me. Warriors games are too repetitive.

No buy on P5R for PS4 either, I'm sure it will be great but the reason I never finished P5 the first time around is the lack of portability. I only beat P4Golden because it was on Vita. Releasing an updated version on the same console just seems redundant to me.

Disappointed doesn't begin to describe it, thanks a lot, Atlas.

Re: Suda51 Says Switch Is "Awesome", Looking Forward To Doing More With The Console

CR0J0

I loved TSA, I've sunk 50 hours in and I plan to play more before the next DLC release of Bad Girl (new level too!!!).

I do want NMH3, or a re-release of the remastered NMH on PS3 but for Switch instead. That little teaser made me so pumped at the end of TSA.

It's just a great time to be a gamer, and especially a Nintendo fan. I love that it's invigorating gamers and developers, and I'm happy Suda seems so happy. Long live the Switch.

Re: Wolfenstein: Youngblood Fires Onto Switch On 26th July, New Trailer Released

CR0J0

@MoonKnight7 that was a great breakdown, thank you.

While good graphics are nice, I actually used to play all of my games on 3DS, so I'm actually super happy with 720p in handheld most of the time because it's still such a big step up from my 240p 3DS screen.

I'll probably wait for a sale since there's likely to be one close to Youngblood's launch, but you've sold me on it. I'm hooked on Warframe right now anyways, that game kicks ass.

Thanks!
