Nintendo is gradually releasing character overview trailers as part of its big push for ARMS, with a particular focus on those that don't feature in the Global Testpunch. Next to get the treatment are robot duo Byte & Barq.
They certainly offer quite an interesting combo - not only does Byte have some smart looking ARMS, but Barq can offer independent attacks or act as a springboard. Check it out below.
Do you think Byte & Barq could be your main in ARMS?

I fancied everything about the demo... except the gameplay. I'll be skipping ARMS for now, but I do love the character designs!
I've been trying to get excited about this game but I am just not. I suppose I'll be skipping it. Thankfully there' are some great releases on the horizon.
This game looks nice but it does nothing for me.

Your comments are Nothing for us.
@Anti-Matter Your comment is gibberish.
Byte & Barq are remind me of Copper (Byte) & Booker (Barq) from Animal Crossing.
I love the idea of Byte and Barq but it's looking pretty clear they may be the worst character to choose. Barq's attacks look unreliable and jumping on Barq doesn't look very effective since the opponent can see it coming a mile away
@SLIGEACH_EIRE
Bloo Bagoo ? ( The Sims language)
Hey, What's up ? (English)
@Anti-Matter you comments are nothing to us. lol come on man your following or replying to @SLIGEACH_EIRE only. Looked at your profile comments and it's always at him. You must love him😍
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Wait, did you try the game? I thought you didn't have a switch? Sorry for asking, just curious
That's the character I'm most excited for because I couldn't play as him
@Eric258 Well, I don't have a Switch neither, but I've been following this game a lot. I thought it could be the one to tip the scales, but, even though I love the design, and the characters and the whole idea behind it, I feel that the game is just too slow for my taste.
Compared to every other fighting game out there, it has a much higher level of strategy, but is not frantic enough for me. Still, I'll give it a whirl when it comes to the kiosk of my local shop.
They got a "long ARMS of the law" joke in there and are thus rendered imume from all future criticism.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE @Anti-Matter You two should settle this in Smash! or wait a couple weeks and settle it in ARMS!
@maceng Yeah, I get you. At first I honestly didn't really care for it. I loved the lore and aesthetic, but the game play looked kinda dull. But after playing it, it's totally changed my mind. It's a lot faster and frantic than you realize, I was really taken aback. It went from a 'meh' title to a day one purchase. Hope you get to try it soon!
At first once I tried it with motion I was put off by it, because couldn't practice enough with the cpu to get a hang for it, then I switched to the playing with no motion and I started getting into it, after almost putting it off and missing two of the PunchFires, now it's a day one purchase...It's simple, rock, scissors, paper fighting, but there is more behind it...and it's fun for me.
@Eric258 Good to hear that. Really looking forward to try it.
@UK-Nintendo There's a few people on this site like anti-matter that have an unhealthy obsession with me.
This character is right up my street given my profession.
He looks like a robotic police officer, ill certainly give this character a good try out.
@YouSeemFRAZZLED
Don't worry.
Byte & Barq are my Second favorite ARMS fighters.
My Numero Uno is Springman.
Byte and Barq, along with Ninjara, are my favorite fighters. I loved how Ninjara played in the Test Punch, so I hope I end up liking Byte and Barq as well!
I'm not too excited for these two. They lack the personality the design of the other characters has. Would be very cool if they'd swap out characters the coming weekend so we get a chance to try them out.
I'm looking forward to trying Byte and Barq out on Arms. I'm not sure who my favorite fighter is yet, will play them all and find out for myself who my #1 is. Will buy Arms day 1, can't wait!!
Less excited to play as these characters, but I might be wrong. They look cool to face off against.
I'm enjoying seeing different stages and music with the character reveals.
The long arm(s) of the law. Barq and Byte. These two are puntastic!
Aww they're cute.
