I've never played Doom 64 before, so it's a blast for me to discover such a great title on my little and beloved Lite model.

Plus, the price ! They really did check all the boxes here.

Wow. Three answers, three differents choices ! Talkin' about a mindstorm, right ?

I'm not a PC gamer myself (just got a very simple laptop for work and that's all), so the logic choice would be to go PS4 Pro all the way.

However, the more I think about it, the more I'm telling myself that I've got too many games on my PS4 backlog...

Which is not the case on Switch, cause I just got the system.

I'm really, really hesitating about which version of Trials of Mana I'm gonna get.
For Dragon Quest XI S, I took the switch version without hesitation, considering everything it did bring to the table (the 2D mode ! The orchestral soundtrack !). I found that it was more than enough to cover the loss on resolution and fps.

But for this game... the two versions are the same, so it's just the "portability vs graphics" debate all over again. And on this one I'm truly lost. I don't know what to do. Terrible, isn't it ?

As much as I love my Switch, putting CupdHead and Ori on the system was a move I couldn't possibly understand. I still think it was an error, despite the qualities of this two titles.
It really was a strange move, giving a very bad message to Xbox users while confusing Switch users ("can we please also have Halo ?" wait, what ?).

Off course, this kind of emblematic title should be exclusive to their respective platform.

This is really good news.
Now, if Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft could put their own digital event (cause they'll got one) around the same date, we could be under the impression that we still have our beloved E3 period.

WOW. I just beat the original Doom a few days ago. Or thought I did, cause I then realized that there was multiples episodes, even in the contexte of the very first game.
And then, there's the add'ons.

So now, an improved map (I admit the map was difficult to read) and a possibility to quick save without pausing the game ?

PLUS ANOTHER ADD'ON ?

I just can't believe I got thoses games for less than three bucks.

@TimboSlice As far as I remember, there was no code involved (except the one granting the one year subscription) but the game did an update when I inserted it in the console.
My advice, if you choose to buy the physical edition : just uninstall your version of the game before (don't just archive it, but uninstall it for real) and then put the cartridge on.

@TimboSlice Tetris has a cartridge : I just got one of those for the 1-year subscription of Nintendo Online.
So you got the game on the cartridge and can choose to play offline.

Currently waiting for my physical copy of Panzer Dragoon.
In the meantime, I'm pursuing my quest on the original Phantasy Star (M2 did a wonderfull job on this port), while unlocking some characters on SmaBro Ultimate from time to time.
Oh, and if I'm allowed to say, I'm replaying all of the Halo on Xbox in order to be prepared for Infinite.

This is ridiculous. I was thinking about buying one myself - cause I think it's the perfect item for those kinds of time we're leaving in (aka "stay at home, etc").

I've just bought the first (game boy color !) and second installment (DSiware !) on my 3DS before, I don't know, they vanish from the store, or something.
I really like this series, it's a great platformer !

I'm waiting right now for being able to order the physical edition. Yeah, it will be pricey, but Panzer Dragoon is THAT special to my heart.

I only possess a Lite model, so I didn't think this game was compatible with my material.
This kind of promotion made me try it and guess what : this game is really quite good, even without the motion controls ! I even read an article saying that the gameplay is even more precise this way, including this soft in a list of "games that you should prefer to play in handheld mode".

Now I totally consider buying it ! (and I'm also thinking about splatoon 2 now !)

It is quite normal that Nintendo protect its IP like this. If people wants to make an hommage to Mario games, they can do it.

I'm finishing Pokemon Sword and intend to pass on a run on the first Dragon Quest games.

I find this pretty fun, even if I don't fully understand the system : multiples voices and commands seem to happen at the same time (Up Down Left Left backflip, etc)... So how do the system select the move to make ? Does it select the one that have he larger number of occurences ?

Anyway, looks like kinda fun xD

Seemed pretty obvious to me that it was planned for the sequel. Which is fine by me.
Also, I find the design now perfectly fine, and the movie really pleasant. I'll go see the sequel without thinking it twice.
The only problem was the voice acting, but it was a stupid decision made in my country (they put a comedian known for its stand-up shows in the lead role ! The result was... not so good.)
(can't wait to see the movie in english with proper voice acting)

This is the last week end to catch Toxtricity Gigamax ! So off course, I was on Pokemon Sword looking for him !
Catching him was a delight. He's just so damn cool ! I know there's a lot of hate going on about these new Pokemon games, but I can't help it : I just love this freakin' game.

(Also, I began to play the original doom and it's still an awesome game !)

Panzer Dragoon Saga cannot be stuck in the past or in the emulation world ! It has to come back, one way or another !

Speaking of that, where is the Panzer Dragoon remake we were promised ? Is there a release date, yet ?

Wherever the money goes, there is no scam in here : people pay for a game, they got their game delivered (and for a time, not an eternity after the purchase). So it's all good to me.
And indeed, this move clearly put some light on the game.

Personnally I didn't "kickstarted" it, but I'll sure buy it when I'll see it in stores.

FFXIV is still so popular over there, it's such a good episode of this franchise.
Do not be afraid by the online aspect of it, if you like Final Fantasy, you have to play this game.
The last expansion is even so story-focused that you can play it solo, with PNJs in your team. It's a real FF, and a good one.

Still on Pokémon Sword, since I'm desperate to catch a Toxtricity Gigamax before the end of the event...
But I've just started the game, so I have to make my team grind very quickly !

I LOVED his work on AM2R. This is some kind of fairy tale stuff, what's happening here. I'm so happy for this talented guy !

I honestly don't understand all this "game-freak-hate" that took over the internet these last months.
I'm discovering the game right now, and I'm having a blast with it. I love the dynamax process, the raids that go with it, etc...
Hell, I just decided to try the "Pokemon let's go" démo too (I did not yet posess the console when it came out). And I will purchase it too. Cause I think it will be perfect for my kids.

So yeah, I'll take the expansion pass.

The simple fact that there IS a Bayonetta 3 coming up is beyond awesome. And yeah, the game was announced very early, but it was to sell Switch consoles.
And there is no lie here : Bayonetta 3 is coming up on Switch. So, as far as we know, nobody lied to us or anything like that.
Did we expect the game to show off a moment ago ? Yeah, sure.
But I think they're gonna launch an awesome trailer and the game just after that. Maybe this summer, I don't know.
I'm really trusting Kamiya on this : Bayonetta is a very strong IP now, maybe not in terms of sales, but in terms of representation.

We just have to wait a little more.

I have the wii version on disc, The WiiU virtual console version, and the New 3DS version.
And I'm gonna buy this version again. Yeah, that game is THAT great.

And I hope the sales are gonna be so good that they will come up with the idea of porting Xeno X too.

Cause I'm discovering it right now on Wii U : so far I have 50 hours of gameplay, and I've got the feeling that I still haven't seen half of what the game has to offer. It's just so massive, so addictive !

Nah, as far as I love M2 work, I'm sticking to my 3DS version of Sonic 2. The 3D effect was beautifull, and the game still rocked.

But being in a Sonic mood right now (thanks, Sonic the movie), I've juste ordered Sonic Mania in physical. It's gonna be so cool to play this awesome game on the go.

Oh, and yeah : Saturn ports, please, now M2 !

@Tonyo Yep. And I'm still playing my New 3DS XL everyday. Still have so mucha games to do on it ! What a console !

I'm currently playing gamecube games on my Wii U gamepad and it's a delight. I'm doing it without shame cause :
1) I already possess those games in gamecube discs
2) My gamecube is still plugged in but this kind of old console on modern TVs is really rendering a poor image
3) The gamecube games really, really shine on a portable device. It's a true delight to play the first Luigi's Mansion, F Zero GX, Super Mario Sunshine or Viewtifull Joe in my bed, on my gamepad.

Nintendo really shoud make this option avalaible on Switch. Hell, even if it was outside of the nintendo online service, even if we had to pay more for this, I would still be on board.

Come on, Nintendo !

I really don't care about the critics : the trailer did its job and convinced me to go see it. So I will.

And yes, I know that it won't be Citizen Kane. But for what it takes, it can be really fun.

@johnvboy Exactly my feeling. I have paid so many times, so many versions of these titles over the years and the platforms. I'm a big Virtual Console lover, maybe I'm spending even more time on these retro titles than on the modern games of our age.

So, I think this economic model works for me. I also like the idea that you can't miss games (if you unsuscribe for a month or two), cause it's just a vault destined to grow bigger and bigger.

And finally, you said it yourself : people use to forget that you pay for the online service (like to play online SmaBro or trade Pokémon, or whatever). So if somebody wants to criticize the service, criticize that : the online aspect of switch (which can clearly be improved, let's be honnest here).

But these games are just bonuses. And for what it takes, well... I'l take them.

I'm one of the few guys really happy with this service, so I'l say it : these games are real gems, you have to play it (I just discovered Shadow Ninja recently, personnaly. What did I miss all this years !)

Also, "God Slayer" is a masterpiece, and I really hope an addition to our western library.

Well, the first Bayonetta is already going the 4K treatment in a pack with Vanquish, next month, I believe.

But for the second installment, and furthermore the third, I think it's a different scenario. Cause, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Nintendo itself put some money in the machine, right ?
