Wow. Even if I'm very tempted by the 4K experience on PS4 pro, I think I'll eventually get the Switch version... Cause this game is too Nintendo branded in my book. Plus, the benefits of going portable... I know, still the same old debate.

Who am I kidding ? Dumb as I am, I'm sure I'll come to get the Playstation AND the Switch versions.

What a masterpiece.
An advice to newcomers : play it on EASY difficulty. I'm serious, I don't know why, but the NORMAL difficulty is just hell.

@Mogster Honnest opinion : it's a gem. Truly. One of the funniest games I've had the chance to play on the WiiU. It is also one of the reason why I kept my console - It's a masterpiece.

I'm a proud owner of a Wii U copy of this masterpiece. This is truly one the funniest games I've ever played. Quite difficult, too !

The gamepad was also well used, so a new version will eventually loose this feature.
But yeah, this licence HAS TO get some light again. It really deserves a second chance.

I'm still on Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U. Think it gonna take months before finishing it !

I'm guessing after the first pass and its relative disapointment, a lot of people are going to just wait and see. Like, I don't know, just in case the very first character of this pass is revealed a Fire Emblem character. Again.

My Switch is a Lite model, so it's only portability for me. I don't have much time in front of my TV set, so I knew from the start that I would only play in portable mode. Ergo, the Switch Lite.

And I just bought Dragon Quest XI S for it. I also have a PS4 Pro (One X too), but I'd never find the time to play this game on TV.

However, on a handeld system, yes I will definitely beat this game. And when I've read all the benefits this version received (orchestal music and 2D mode ! Japanese voices !) it was an easy choice.

I really, really don't care that the resolution of this game will be inferior than the PS4 Pro version. It IS the best version, resolution or not.

I personnaly treasure mine for its retro hability. I think it's really the best way to play PS1 games today. The picture of any PS1 game is just impossible to watch today on a 4K display. But on this little and gorgeous screen, it's just a joy.
And I'm a huge fan of the Nintendo Online service on Switch : a real SNES in my pocket, it's a child's dream !

I have a grey Switch Lite since Christmas. And yes, this my first Switch (not a second console or whatever). And I'm absolutely thrilled by this little machine.
I was (and still am) a big fan of the PSVITA, so this Lite is basically like a VITA 2 to me. But with the awesomes Nintendo IPs that I loved since an eternity.
It's a very good handeld console. I'm loving it.

I've bought this game so many times.
I have it on Wii disc version. I have it on cartridge for my New 3DS XL. I also bought it again when it became avalaible on the Wii U e-shop, just to be able to play it on the gamepad.
And now that I finally own a Nintendo Switch (Lite, btw), I'm definitely going to buy its remaster (I'm so in love with the new models !).
I'm planning to dive into Xeno 2 as well, off course.
But later. Cause now I'm on... Xenoblade X on Wii U ! And boy, what a game this is. This NEEDS to get an HD port as well. Really.

The very first game I bought for my Switch Lite (just got it for christmas) was Sega Ages : Phantasy Star. It's not a remake, it's the same good old game ,but with quality of life improvements. For example : a map !!! It seems not much of an addition, but believe me, for this game, it makes quite a difference.
On 3DS I bought every single M2 port. Their 3D versions of Sonic and Street of Rage are still, in my opinion, the best versions possible of those classics.

I love M2 and their work. Damn, must buy Virtua Racing, btw.

It is a mystery to me that the Mass Effect Trilogy never ever had been ported to any new system.

@Tyranexx Clearly, this game cannot just stay in the history of the Wii U. I get it now, Wii U is dead, and that's a shame cause I loved this console (and I still do). But now, with the Nintendo Switch's extraordinary success, all I want is that more and more people are given the possibility to join the party. Mira cannot stay in the past, it just can't !

I've juste decided to go on a journey with Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U. The game was on my shelf since an eternity. I've downloaded the packs to get the smoother experience possible and dived into it.

So far I've juste played 10 hours and I can already tell I'm gonna spend at least 200 others in it. The game is so vast, so complex, so beautifull. Sure, the story seems so-so, but guess what ? It's not the point here.
The point is to explore, to go on an adventure. And boy, what an adventure.

I really, really hope that this game will be ported to switch (why not, if the remake of the first one sells well ?) so more and more people will be able to discover it.

What a masterpiece.

I don't know if I'm dumb or what, but I'm in the camp of those who think this is quite a cool news. More aventures and Pokémons, at a price that seems not outrageous to me.

Xenoblade Chronicles X.
I just began it on WiiU, and I can already figure that it's a game so massive that I rather play it on a portable system. Why ? So I can play it everyday, that's why. I'm not sure I'll be able to finish it on a home console. On a portable, I've got a chance.

Folders. We need folders. Now, Nintendo !

I can't even imagine how my 3DS home menu would look like now if there was no folder system. As soon as you got more than six or seven games, folders isn't an option. It's a necessity !

Hopefully it will be announced on january 6th ? Maybe Kamiya is aware of that, and that's why he allowed himself to say such thing. Or not. Who knows, with this mad man ?! ! xD

Just finished Bayonetta 2 on WiiU. Had it for a long time now, but I never took the time to really getting in, despite the fact that I'm a huge fan of the first entry. The release of the Switch version pushed me to finally play it. I played again, for the 7th time, the first episode then I fired the new one.
And what a thrill. That game is incredible. Even its story is really really good. I really recommend it to every Switch owner. Just buy it, you won't be disapointed.
And now i'm playing the original Secret of Mana on Snes Mini.

That's a good surprise ! I was planning to replay it on NGC soon, in order to play the sequel, after, on 3DS.
Now I will do both in portable mode, full 3D ON !

I got one case from them for my PSVITA since the beginning, and the quality is astonishing. Yes, it is pricy. But that quality, man. Sends a message to people at work : "yes I'm playing videogames but hey, check this case I'm a full grown up boy."
Love it. Joke aside, I wanted a quality case, I did get one of those.

That raises (again) the same old question : what the hell is doing Nintendo with Virtual Console ? What kind of strategy is that ?
It would be EASY MONEY for the company, fans would be happy, it would be a WIN WIN situation.
Almost ONE YEAR of existence and still nothing, not even an announcement ? Come on !!

I'm still playing on WiiU. Like... Everyday. I still have lots of games I have to do on this little beast (for exemple, Xeno X and Bayonetta 2). And as far as I understand the concept of WiiU ports on Switch, this does not encourage me to buy one... Yet. Mario is the only game I really want to play on it (got BotW on WiiU), and that, for me, can wait a little.
Maybe Bayonetta 3 will make me buy one.

Still, great thing for Freedom Planet, as I'm interested to buy it since... Quite some time. And yes, on WiiU.

That's why I'm gonna hack this thing. Not to add emulators and everything... But just to add the Snes Games I want on this. Aladdin comes to my mind first : it was my first game on the system, and even if it's considered as blasphemy, I always prefered the Capcom Snes version to the Virgin Genesis one (for instance, on genesis, Aladdin had a sword to kill his ennemies... Did they even seen the movie before making the game ?).I'd like to add also :

They finally made a move I can understand. I've managed to secure a SNES mini but I missed the first one. I'll be ready to order next summer.

Star Fox 1 is a masterpiece, i got my snes with it, and a that time, I litterally was in abother world. I finished this game countless times, and I'm planong to continue doing so on the snes mini.
As for Star Fox 2, I finished for the first time, just a few months ago, what seems to be a near completed rom. I could see why the game was killed, maybe for trying to shake the formula a bit too much (the map system). But it also bring a lot lf brillant ideas (transformarions, characters, etc).
Can't wait to play the official final version.

I did finish the game months ago, when I found out that there was a rom hanging on the internet. I took the most advanced version I could find, and it was a thrill. Sure the game wasn't perfect, but for a fanboy of the franchise like me (I'm one of the few who dig the WiiU episode, for example), it was really, really good. I like that they tried something new, the battles in space in 360°, the ability to transform...
I'm really, really looking for the definitive version of the game (thought I really think that it won't be very different from the rom I played...), just to play it with real SNES controllers, and on my TV.

It is scandalous. Really. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO FIGHT FOR A PRODUCT THAT I'D LIKE TO BUY, WITH ACTUAL AND REAL MONEY ! What is all this .... nonsense !!?? I refused to enter the dance of the ebay scalpers for the Nes Mini, I was saying to myself : "just wait. Nintendo was surprised by demand, but they will produce more. In one month or two, you'll be able to buy one at your local retailer, for the normal price". Guess what ? IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. I never, never saw this product on an actual shelf. For my concern, the NES MINI is the little sister of THE PHANTOM. This is really ridiculous, SONY encountered similar problems with the PSVR (out of stock, ebay gone crazy) but they did produce more, and the situation was corrected. And Nintendo stopped to manufacture a product that was still highly demanded. PURE NONSENSE. In a commercial way, in an emotionnal way (fans get angry ? We don't care, we're Nintendo).

And now, I had to FIGHT. That's what I did, like the dumbass fanboy I am. Had to litterraly STALK the internet, to check my ... phone during very important meetings at work (yes) for... basically, a toy. And I still missed my window : 20 mn on amazon while I was driving.

Thanks to fans from many sites, I did manage to secure two units, from two differents retailers (the second one is a gift for my brother - Mario Kart and all these games ARE our childhood - not to steal money from poor guys on ebay... Gosh i HATE this scalpers) but it's still scandalous. The amount of stress just to BUY.A.TOY.

Insane, just insane.

Well, finally, it seems thaht the better choice will be those Hori gamecube-like controllers : shaped as this good old pad, but without analog L and R, and with a new ZL. Oh, and these ones CAN be played on N64 VC. Because they're pro controller in disguise.

I plan to get Samus, which is still the best looking amiboo in my opinion, and Captain Falcon cause his Mii suit in MK8 looks so cool that he seems like a real new character !
Also, I really was thinking on getting Fox, but since it will be most probably my main character ingame, his amiibo-buddy has to be someone else.

I'm surprised nobody mentionned a new battle mode, with good old-fashioned arenas. Don't even need new ones, just bring the snes and n64 ones. I just don't understand the new battle mode. It doesn't have any sense ! I remenber those days spent on the battle arenas of the original snes version... What a delight ! This new mode, on MK8 ? I have tried maybe one or two times. Then I got bored. I don't remember : does MK7 on the 3ds has real battle arenas ?

What the... They kept those loving helmets for the Miis ! Even with the Amiboo feature !! o_O I was really hoping that I would be able to wear the typical Mario hat, or what the hell... but no more of this damn helmets ! >.< So now, the only "Miis-Amiboo-suited" that will look cool are Captain Falcon and Samus. arf... I'm going with Samus then xD

I think this is pretty cool. Cause you know what ? I just can't stand the way my Mii looks like in MK8, with this HORRIBLE helmet.
Maybe now I'll finally enjoy playing Kart with my Mii. In a Samus costume, or with the Luigi green hat. Or with Fox's outfit ! Arf, now I hesitate again.

Hype level to the Maximum. While I'm still curious to see how many systems this one game will manage to sell, I would absolutely not understand anyone who already owns a WiiU and who don't plan to pick this game up for Christmas. This is the ultimate must-buy of the console, even more than Mario Kart, in my opinion. And Mario Kart is a must-buy too

@SamoStudios you really did an extraordinary job on this. I had to write something about it on a french website I use to visit. Apparently, I convinced some other fellows to buy the album... But this is so great. Hearing those Metroid themes, epic-style... Chapeau bas, monsieur.

Like I said before, does it need to be said that the game looks absolutely gorgeous on the gamepad ? And in my opinion, this game deserves a 10. I have such memories of the days trying to hit the 101% secrets ! And replaying it today, I realise that this is not just nostalgia speaking. Donkey Kong Country still rocks !!

TW101 is truly a work of genius. The design, the ideas, the storytelling, the sense of humor, the originalyty, the gameplay, the difficulty, the use of asymetric gameplay... Everything, and Imean EVERYTHING in this game is perfection. It's clearly one of those titles that I will remember a'd continue to play in ten years, or more. Like, I don't know, Power Stone on the Dreamcast, or F Zero GX on gamecube.
Platinum, I truly LOVE you guys. A starfox by this team... Too beautifull to be true. What a dream it could be.

By the way, DKC looks absolutely STUNNING on the gamepad screen The TV picture is still a little pixelized, but doing ok. But on the gamepad... man the game is as gorgeous as I remenbered !
Really hope you guys in US catch this kong very quickly.

I just can't believe it. I had lost any hope, I thought I was condamned to play those DK game on a freakin' emulator. Now I can play them on my TV, just like old times. Nintendo, I never understood WHY you took those games off the VC in thz first place, but believe me, I understood my lesson. Instan buy, all three of them. Donkey Kong FOR THE WIN !!
