@electrolite77 Name some more Switch games than those 7.
Didn't know the DC first 2 year library was filled with four year old Saturn games.
The DC was a powerhouse and years ahead of it's time. The Switch is an underpowered console with a weak line up of games, unless you're really into 2D indie titles like you.
If only the Switch was nearly as powerful as the PS4/Xbox One.
Then every Switch version would be the superior one. Now you have to choose between 60fps 1080p on the PS4 or the portable but inferior Switch port with a lower resolution, 30fps and a higher pricetag.
So the Switch ends up being the console you get for the Nintendo exclusives.
@BulbasaurusRex Breaking a licensing agreement is not illegal, it just does that: it breaks the licensing agreement. So they can block you from their services or brick the console. Maybe it's different in the States, but here in Europe it sure as hell isn't illegal.
Besides, pirates don't steal, they copy. Stop using nonsensical metaphores. It's not the same.
And remember, if you don't get caught it's not a crime /Jadakiss
@BraveBiT Emulated games run janky? You can play Goldeneye in hi-res widescreen 60fps if you want. Mario Galaxy in 4k. Most of the N64/GC/Wii games look worse on the real hardware.
@BulbasaurusRex Homebrew isn't illegal,, now you're just making stuff up. Besides, companies do a terrible job at preserving games. And then there are games like Bound High for the Virtual Boy, Propeller Arena and Half-Life for the Dreamcast: unreleased games that were finished and leaked.a
Hacking a console give you the best of both worlds. You can still buy games legally or try before you buy. And then it also opens up a whole new world of possibilities. Even piracy has it's uses. You expect people to buy a second Wii U from Japan just to play Puyo Puyo Tetris or Taiko no Tatsujin? Or American Dreamcast owners to buy a second DC just to play Shenmue 2?
I just went to a bookstore, grabbed a book and took photos of every page so I could read it on the airplane to Tokyo. I bought the ticket with the money I saved by pirating.
I don't respect the n00bs that are anti hacking. Those are the kind of people with an Acer laptop with the stickers still on the palm rest. The kind of people with a Hotmail email address. The weird people who were still buying CDs when you could download every song. They type Google in the search bar of their browser and click on the first result.
@KoopaTheGamer The problem is that all those dumb games look the same. Boring black foreground. That gimmick was fun the first time. But after Limbo, Nihilumbra, Badland, Toby The Secret Mine, Hero Of Many, Oscura Second Shadow, Liyla And The Shadows Of War, Mahluk: Dark Demon and so on, it's just creative bankruptcy
After 8/16 bit retro 'inspired' graphics, these Limbo 'inspired' (and by inspired, I mean stolen) graphics are the most overdone. It's funny how indie games are less original than big budget titles these days.
Rare is dead. Buying the company was a mistake caused by inexperience on Microsofts part. Microsoft was new to the console market and needed exclusives for their first Xbox, so they threw money at Rare without even looking. All talented coders already left by then. There is a reason Nintendo didn't acquired the company. They knew what was going on there. Microsoft bought an empty shell.
And the intellectual property wasn't that great if you really look at it. Banjo is a generic bear, Joanna Dark a generic girl. It were the games that were great, but the characters weren't that unique.
@edgedino That doesn't make any sense if you don't take the library in consideration. Bomberman was selling well because there were barely any other games on the system. Same for this one.
@gortsi But I'm not even trolling. I own a Switch and Wii U and the Switch is collecting dust. Odyssey was fun, Splatoon 2 was worse than 1 and other than that there is not much that is worth my time. The fact that you name Metroid Prime 4 and Smash Bros basically proves my point. There is not much else to look forward to and it will be another 9 months until you play one of these.
Unless you really crave 2D platformers, ports and indie games. In that case the Switch library is amazing.
@gortsi So you cherry pick one game that will be released in a month and counter with a remaster and two games that doesn't even have trailers or release dates. Nice.
It just means there is way less competition on the Switch. My PS4 backlog is huge (still need to finish Persona 5 and Rez Infinite and start Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza 6, Dragonball FighterZ en Ni No Kuni II). My Switch backlog... not so much.

You won't get them anyway. Sega has been re-releasing the same handful of games over and over again for quite some years now.

Re: Pix'n Love Is Creating A Limited Edition Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection Package
Limited Editions are tacky as hell these days. Just some ugly posters/stickers/books. Not worth the upgrade and not special.
The Street Fighter 15th anniversary was way better:

Hacking is awesome. I don't need a multinational company telling me what I should do with the hardware I bought. Cry me a river.
Some cool hacks from the past years:
Stop telling other people what they should do. You don't like fun? Then don't hack your device and keep quiet. Sshhhhhh

@HipsterInkling I name some games that I will play in a month or so and call it a backlog.
He names some games that will be out at the end of the year or in 2019.
Which basically proves my point: Switch has no game.
