Re: Hardware Review: NS Glasses 3D VR Headset for Switch

BigKing

The technology is already there. It's awesome.

I bought my PSVR for 150 euro on Black Friday. The most innovative consumer tech for a few measly bucks and people are still complaining. Just seeing your friends experience it is worth the money. It's quite a party/social thing to me. Swapping out the headset and laughing at each other.

@impurekind do you have Rez? If not: buy it. Area X is the most magical VR experience I had(don't watch videos, you need to experience it)

Re: Hardware Review: NS Glasses 3D VR Headset for Switch

@gauthieryannick VR already took off, it just isn't mainstream yet.

I own a PSVR and it's amazing. So many creative ideas and experiences, the true Nintendo feeling of this generation of consoles.

The reviews of Astro Bot seem to indicate that it's the most innovative 3D platformer of this generation. I will wait for the demo next week.

VR is the biggest leap since Mario 64.

But hey, sheep are always late to the party.

Re: Video: Here's A Look At The Latest NES Releases Now Playable On Switch

BigKing

@dres Are you dumb? I would gladly pay more for a good service. I don't care if it's the fraction of the price if the service sucks. I have no problem paying >$100 a year for something that is worth it.

And they are not giving anything extra compared to other services. It's really bad. PS Plus is 3 times more expensive and still offers way more value.

Damn, those delusional fanboys keep missing the point.

Re: Video: Here's A Look At The Latest NES Releases Now Playable On Switch

@gauthieryannick Take off your tinfoil hat, Alex Jones. ITZACONSPIRACYYY

Hell naw, these games just suck. The service sucks and waiting doesn't change a thing, because it's a subscription service so it runs out. It's like if you would release a Spotify clone with a library of three songs. Yeah, but you have to wait while paying to get more.

When in fact Nintendo never actually improved. It's like N64 games on VC. Only 20 or so were ever released. I'm pretty sure all delusional fanboys were claiming you just had to wait until more were released lol

Re: Reggie Says Nintendo Competes For Consumer Time, Not Concerned About Direct Competition

BigKing

@dleec8 'as one of their top three game console activities, as did 21% of those between 48 and 66 years old.'

One of the TOP THREE activities. Guess what the first two are.

I also watch Netflix on my PS4(just like I did on my Wii U), that doesn't mean I consider it an ' entertainment center that also plays games'. It's a game console first.

The Switch isn't any different and apps like Netflix would be very useful. That wouldn't make the Switch an 'entertainment center that also plays games', it's still a game console.

Re: Reggie Says Nintendo Competes For Consumer Time, Not Concerned About Direct Competition

BigKing

@BubbleMatrix82 I don't know anything about your children, but it doesn't surprise me one bit. I'm sure he doesn't have it from his mother.

You're right about me being an ass though. Now leave me alone you freak.

@dleec8 Here's a quote: ' For example, **many fans of the PlayStation and Xbox** really do see them as entertainment centers that also play games. '

Much more fans do not.

Re: Reggie Says Nintendo Competes For Consumer Time, Not Concerned About Direct Competition

BigKing

@dleec8 'For example, many fans of the PlayStation and Xbox really do see them as entertainment centers that also play games. '

Lol that is the dumbest ''''example'''' I ever heard. Nobody thinks of their PlayStation as an 'entertainment center'. I never heard anyone ever saying that. It's a console. You must be confused with the Nintendo ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM

And because it's hooked up to your tv, it's easy to boot up Netflix, and you can resume the game right after that. Stop these dumb excuses

Re: Limited Run Games Set To Release First And Only Wii U Game, Lost "A Lot" Of Money Making It Happen

BigKing

@gortsi The original hardware doesn't have HDMI output and can't be played on the gamepad. I still own them too, but it's a hassle to have all consoles connected to your tv's. Plus that still does not change the fact that the Wii U offers more at the moment.

The fact that you talk about school tells everything. That's way in the past bruah. I probably make more than your parents combined.

Re: UK Charts Reveal That Just 1% Of FIFA 19 Sales Were On Switch, Physical Launch Sales Tumble

BigKing

@geheimxy you think those are great numbers? I would expect games like Sonic, Dragon Quest Builders to do much better on a Nintendo platform. Rocket League: why do you talk about physical copies all of a sudden. Bomberman had decent sales because it was one of the very few launch games.

I'm happy that you are impressed, I'm not. That's basically why there has only been one real third party exclusive(Octopath Traveler, unless you count a Mario game) in the 1.5 years that the Switch is on the market. EA, Ubisoft and Activision, Capcom, Konami and so on are barely supporting the platform

Re: UK Charts Reveal That Just 1% Of FIFA 19 Sales Were On Switch, Physical Launch Sales Tumble

BigKing

@geheimxy 5% is way less than 10%, just like I said. And also it's more near 1% than it's near 10%. That's actually really sad.

5% means they might release some older games or port if it's relatively little work. It also means it's not worth making any Switch exclusives, because, like you said, they care about profit. And it can't be profitable to create something from scratch exclusively for the Switch if you would've sold multiple times more on any other platform.

Re: Soapbox: Why Do We Want More Games When We've Already Got Too Many?

BigKing

@BubbleMatrix82 I have zero clue where you are talking about. I say that Switch online is a horrible service compared to other services out there and you keep talking about VC, boot times, millenials, 200kb resources of the main menu and so on. It doesn't make any sense. None of that has anything to do with why the service is bad.

You argue like a girl and seems to have a really hard time reading. I am not acting surprised in the least. I totally expected the service to be bad, just like every other online Nintendo service.

Strawman? You were the one who was talking about how I didn't know how the internet works. So you're a network engineer. Aka somebody who couldn't code their way out of a wet paper bag and AKA you should stay far away from everything that has end users have to touch. That's ok. We still appreciate what you do, even though you have a hard time interacting with people.

Now bring me a McDouble sandwich and go play NES games.

Re: Soapbox: Why Do We Want More Games When We've Already Got Too Many?

BigKing

@BubbleMatrix82 You don't make any sense. It has nothing to do with 'having faith in cloud computing' but everything with not being impressed by a weak service with old NES games, no voice chat and barely any online games. They are more than a decade behind Microsoft and Sony.

Why do you keep talking about VC? I never even mentioned it once, lol. You are obsessed with those. I don't care about 30 year old NES games. Already played them 20+ years ago.

Nobody asked for those NES games in the first place.

It's not like there was a big poll/survey about what features gamers want for their online service and everybody responded with: NES GAMES!

Your posts are all over the place. What do you do for a living?

Re: Soapbox: Why Do We Want More Games When We've Already Got Too Many?

BigKing

@BubbleMatrix82 'I think you don't know how the internet works at all.'

Too bad you're wrong like many times before. I'm a web developer and perfectly know what *aaS solutions are.
You're just assuming stuff and rambling on about irrelevant stuff like Final Fantasy and anti-virus software. You know what they say about assumptions being the mother of all...

Your expected tiers are nothing more than fanboy fantasies. There is nothing that indicates that Nintendo will be offering Gamecube games for $60 a year.

You won't be streaming Switch games. The hardware isn't powerful enough, that's why they disabled video recording in some games and why the quality is terrible in other games.

You use a lot of words but don't say much. I don't judge services on what you might or might not get in the future, I judge them based on what they offer now. Because that's what you're paying for. You're paying for this month or year, not for imaginary Gamecube games in the year 2020.
