I don't know why every My Nintendo post has people complaining about how Club Nintendo was so much better and everything. Like c'mon, it shut down almost 4 years ago, and we all know it was because it was too generous.

@ArmoredGoomba You know what you get for Nintendo "loyalty"? You get to enjoy the products. It's not like you are doing so much for Nintendo and they aren't doing anything back. You give them money, they give you the products.

Plus on top of that something everyone seems to ignore like @AirElephant is you can literally get free games from them with gold coins. No it's not just discounts and wallpapers, those are with the free points you can easily get in a minute. You can get free or discounted Switch games, any game you want, by using them. You get them by buying games. No they are not just going to start throwing huge games out for free like what people here expect. But it's easy to get gold coins, on a $60 game on the eShop you can get $3-$6 back to spend on the eShop. Expecting more than that is crazy, Nintendo is a business.

I can see this launching the day of E3. Would be a cool treehouse reveal at least.

Do people still play this? Since there obviously alternatives like Smash or Brawlhalla I'm genuinely asking.

@invictus4000 I'm not going to disagree with you because I thought the same thing, it just looks like the same old platformer and same graphics as any other indie game. So I didn't pick it up at all but it became free with Gold and I was totally wrong about the gameplay, it's very unique and original.
The graphics aren't amazing yeah, but when you are playing the game, you can't think about the graphics at all because you are just focused on trying to advance so it no longer bothers me at all.

They keep announcing new things but I'm still waiting for King of Cards + the amiibo to come out...

I'm just joking around, take your time to make an awesome game!

Why is nobody mentioning it's probably a lot of the fact it costs about 50% more than the price of the 3DS games.

Add that onto the fact of the smaller install base and it's just a short time period (not even two months). Also just in general the percentage of people who have a Switch in Japan compared to the world is lower than the percentage of people in Japan that had a 3DS compared to worldwide sales.

How did it drop a point? It's obviously meant for people who never had a Wii U, and now that's it's even more improved on and includes the Super Luigi U for free I don't see a problem..

@Silly_G Considering there are only 5 new characters in the base game of Smash Ultimate (not counting echoes because the DLC fighters also won't be echoes) and four new stages (not counting Battlefield, Big Battlefield, or Final Destination since they are more like re-imagines, but even if you do it'll total to seven) 5 brand new fighters, stages, and more music seems like a deal to me.

@tabris95 The colors are supposed to represent players 3 and 4 as blue and red are player's one and two (considering you play this with one Joy-con so I suppose it makes sense but yeah I agree the look together aren't very appealing.

For this price it is a steal, you are paying less than half the price of one Joy-con costs with Mario Party (or you are getting Mario Party for $20 depending on how you look at it).

@jhewitt3476 Just buy an SD card. If you are fine buying a $75 game I think you could afford one, 128 microSD cards are usually going around on sale for about $25.

@Cobalt I understand you might not like the games but Pokemon and Animal Crossing nevertheless are system sellers, more than any other game this year besides maybe Smash (but both Pokemon and AC still sold better on 3DS). So in general for the Switch with all those games it is definitely not dry and will be very good financially and in the public eye.

@jump @jawafour No it's not download only but it's only available online everywhere I've seen. Checked Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Gamestops site to see if it was available for pickup and it just said it's only shipped/ not available at this time, so mine is shipping to my house from Best Buy tomorrow.

@Cobalt 2019 is actually looks really solid compared to this year, at least in terms of big games that sell well. Mainline Pokemon and Animal Crossing are some of the best-selling (if not the best) selling games on the 3DS and both are coming next year. Add more titles like Luigi's Mansion 3 Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Daemon X Machina, NSMBU, Travis Strikes Again, and 3rd party games like Shovel Knight King of Cards, Team Sonic Racing, and Trials Rising. If you can't find anything you like you there are in the very small minority. Plus Metroid Prime 4 could come next year as well.

@Heavyarms55 People are going to hack it even if every game was available, there were still tons of hacks for free Wii and Wii U games on the Wii U even though they could be purchased on the eShop.

In the Nintendo Minute videos (which are official Nintendo videos on their channel) they always say the letters such as N E S or S N E S (not counting when they say Nintendo Entertainment System or Super N E S). It's the way I always said it and the way I've most heard it.

I could do more digging but with all the evidence I have right now I'm still calling it the N E S just like most acronyms. USA, UK, FDA, FAQ, DVD, and even ones Nintendo uses like DS, 3DS, and XL. Why would some of Nintendo's acronyms pronounced as a word but some aren't?

I don't really see a problem with this pre-ordering things before a date is announced, I did it with Smash Ultimate from Best Buy even before it had a name. Also things like the Solaire amiibo are sold out before there is even a date announced. So what if you can pre-order something before a release date is said?

@Cobalt Your point? If you think an age rating makes a game better in any way, it doesn't. A couple f-bombs doesn't add to the experience at all, and if it does for you, you really need to rethink your choices.

Another point is why do games have to be exclusives to be good? Xbox doesn't have any more exclusives and it seems to be doing okay. On the Switch we already have the ones you mentioned and a lot more, such as the Outlast games, South Park, Attack on Titan, Gal*Gun, Batman the Telltale series, and a lot more I just can't name of the top of my head. Plus Bayonetta 3 is an exclusive mature title coming soon.

We don't need swearing or blood in Splatoon 2 to make it be good. It's a great game without it, and I don't see a problem there.

Nope, not a scratch or crack. My whole family uses the Switch and its even been dropped a few times but nothing on it and we've had it since April.

@Anti-Matter LEGO itself has licensed products of more violent movies and media such as the super hero movies. They even have Deadpool in some of them, which is a mature M rated movie.

Nintendo has never stated it's coming July 31st they just say Summer, on the website, the FAQ, even in tweets from this month https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/997144719384825857 and I'd also like to point out for the Breath of the Wild DLC pack 3 I remember there was a date on the eShop of 12/31/17 for awhile, even though it came out December 7th. Considering the 31st of July is also a Tuesday, I don't see any reason to believe that as a release date instead of a placeholder.

@AcridSkull @Fake-E-Lee This is the date that has been there since the Octo Expansion first launched on the eShop. Nintendo only says it's coming this Summer, so this is almost surely a placeholder date.

Playing ARMS Party Crash, and that's about it. Exams are really soon and the workload is huge, so it's about all I have time for, even with the 4 day weekend.

I loved this on the Wii. I have so many fun memories with my friends on this. Day one for me.

@rjejr Referring to you MyNintendo points thing now, they have a new system now in place since March. You are right you got 12 points for the physical version of ARMS, and with the old system you would have gotten 60 points for downloading it. Now, for a $60 physical game, you get 60 points and if you download it you get 300 points.Also you can use gold points as money on the eShop too (1 point = 1 cent). @rjejr In my reply I was talking about SSBU as that is what your previous comment referred too. As for Mario Tennis, there has been no word on DLC, free or paid. And a new series of amiibo have never been announced and released in one month, so you should be safe.

@rjejr They never said there would be no DLC. All they said was there currently was no plans for DLC at the time and his job was to make the game as fullest as possible. Even in that same interview he said once's it finished he will consider DLC.

@techdude @Dr_Awkward This article is called Nintendo Download, and features only things coming to the eShop. We have no sources at all saying Labo will be available to download, which means it is a physical exclusive and won't be on the eShop.

@DABYX No you don't need a rank, the Party Crash just replaces Party Mode. You don't even need to be either of the two fighters to participate in the event either. There is a like rank system that just stretches over Party Crashes, but it doesn't change the game or opponents at all, just awards you badges.

This looks awful and it's crazy they are charging that much of a price for it.

I got NBA Playgrounds when it came out though so I will download it for free.
