I really don't like the design of human Ditto, it's a bit creepy. To be honest, everything about this game from its design choices to the business choices is rubbing me up the wrong way. I'll be giving this one a miss.
I've been trying to play it again recently on Switch 2 and I find that 2D level (stage 5?) far too annoying to figure out and move past. What came before that was hardly gripping me. It's a complete mess and the first level is an absolute snooze.
Not a chance, and while it makes me angry it's also a practical choice. When the games are looking to be 50GB+ you can fill a 1TB SD very quickly, not that I'll be able to afford one of them for a long time. I'm stuck with 256GB for the foreseeable and is despise redownloading or swapping SDs. Once it's full it's full and the downloading stops. So full games on cart are pretty important to me...It was not much of an issue with the Switch 1, but it was with the Wii and it will be with Switch 2. If it's not on a cart and it's over 30GB I'm not buying it.
It will flop because it will run on windows, have no exclusives, and becasue the handheld PC gaming market is not that lucrative. The steamdeck has only sold 4 million in what is it 3 or 4 years? In console terms that's a dire flop. Microsoft will not beat the steamdeck.
Why not! I'm just glad all things point to the Switch 2 still being a console with Physical media. I think it's sad it looks like Physical media is dying, but I think it's great Nintendo are not following the pack. I hope along with ideas like Nintendo also maybe bring back paper manuals? Always nice to open the box and find something, even if it's just a little manual with some nice artwork. If Physical is on the way out them Nintendo please make this Switch 2 one last defiant roar for the old skool!
@Switch_Pro Yeah people are full of it. Palworld is huge asset flip and a clumsy hodgepodge of various ideas of other hit games to deliver a huge XP grind with constant false sense of progression. There's little to learn other than how visually impressive a game can look when you mostly use other peoples assets....Normally such games look rubbish.
I have brought over 100 games for my Switch and I've still got at least 6 big games an a dozen digital only I want to catch up with an that does not include the likes of the upcoming Paper Mario. I'm ready for Switch 2, but if we have to wait until next year I can totally live with that. Still feels like releasing it this year would be rushing things, even though it's not.
While we laugh at Mr Bean, it's good they still kept Luigi as he is because as Rowan Atkinson has said himself Mr Bean is not a nice person. He's often selfish and thoughtless, and often not hapless at all but deliberately does the wrong things...Obviously he's got some redeeming qualities to make us like him....But the reason some people despise Mr Bean is because they only see his bad side and wonder what is funny about it.
Very happy to see Pikmin 4, Zelda, Bayo 3, and of course Goldeneye. And FINALLY, Pilotwings...Now I have enough good reasons to get the online expansion pass. Saw 4-5 other things that made me smile too. My only gripe, and everyone noticed it, was the insane amount of farm sims, but it's nothing to get angry about. Overall it's great to see the Switch has got a LOT of support over the next 6 months, things are clearly not slowing down much yet.
Surprising they lasted this long, but I think this sucks. It's not pirating games. It's not easy to find their music elsewhere either...Well it is, but not legit. I can just imagine Nintendo will now do something super expensive, no chance they'll do things VEVO style on Youtube, they are bound to enact some kind of stupid paywall that is asking more than what the biggest stars do.
The problem is that Legends and Sword/Shield feel very poor quality and the poor graphics are just one part of a pretty lackluster attitude. They are cheap, they do feel rushed and unfinished, a pointlessly large...God I hated walking around the towns in Sword, so much empty pointless space. And the poor quality of them really stands out when compared to what we normally expect from Nintendo exclusives. We all expected far more when Pokemon made the full proper transition to 3D.
What BS. They went cheap and gouge us on planned obsolescence. I'm on my 4th set of joy cons. But then I am the most unlucky of Nintendo fans....I had 2 faulty Wii U's, 2 faulty Wii's 2 Ds's with dead Pixels, and an unbelievable 5 Game cubes that broke down in under a year. I do sometimes wonder why I continue to hand money over to them.
it is obvious Nintendo went as cheap as possible with them. I love the Switch, but the analogues are just awful. They make some games borderline unplayable. There's no excuse for such poor analogues.
This seems unlikely to me. Nintendo don't do enough to justify a 2-tier sub service and they know it, and a couple of n64 games doesn't justify any price rise...Not unless they going enhance them with say AI upscaling and revised framerates, but what are the odds of that? Pretty low.
More likely they will re-release classic n64 games individually with minimal enhancements ala Mario 64 in the Allstars package, at an unreasonable price.
I've clocked up 90 hours on it already, it's pretty addictive, but right now there's not much incentive to keep playing without that prize event thingy. There's not enough progression and award.
I can't say I'm that bothered. I mostly play on TV so the OLED really isn't much of a sales point to me. Unless my current Switch breaks on me I will not be buying one.
Own it and I've put about 12-15 hours into it and will be going back to it...Switched to something else because some levels are frustratingly difficult. The Mech upgrade system is annoying complicated too, and I could do without the story...Nut there's a lot to like, it does play well and there's a lot of level variety.
What's new? Well it won't be the fact Nintendo learned from hindsight and has loads of 1st party games lined up. Of course history is repeating. Nintendo might not want the extra work, but the vast majority of devs want to work with the more powerful tech. I've never owned a Playstation or an Xbox. I've always been a Nintendo geek, but even I'm getting fed up now. We're paying more money for less games and inferior graphics. On top of this it's no secret that most dev do not like Nintendo. Nintendo are taking the mickey but the devs are getting the last laugh.
There's no point in fans defending Nintendo, we all know we are bummed out the Switch is last gen visuals, no one REALLY wants that. No one REALLY wants a weak line up. Don't be a sycophant. You are a customer and you know you are not very happy.
I have no desire to pay for online play with the exception of Splatoon 2, but having to pay I am very sure my subscription will be VERY short lived. In fact considering how much I played Splatoon 1 I may not even bother buying it.
Retro games as a bonus is bullpoop. We fans practically have 4 copies of all of them anyway.
Poor Keiji has annihilated his reputation over this game and made it look like he isn't the one who should get credit for the blue bomber. Time to retire to FTP mobile games.
Not really because I don't care for RPG's. Ah well us Nintendo fans should be used to droughts by now. Just gotta suck it up and wait a year. I intend to learn from my mistake with the Wii U however. They are gonna have to seriously impress with their launch line-up for me to be there on day one.
Let's just remember her job was in PR and she instigated a PR disaster. The sensible thing would have been to vanish from social media at the first sign of trouble. Heck the sensible thing would have not been to tell the would she was a Nintendo employee and so openly share such a controversial dissertation that reeked of irony amongst everything else.
@Bolt_Strike That bugged me but I got a 1TB drive really cheap, cheaper than if the Wii U had come with 1TB storage, and it's a total non-issue for me now.
I buy a lot of retail games digitally already. I still want physical copies, but take Mario Kart for instance, I wanted that digitally because it's a game I hop on a lot so having it on the Wii U was convenient. XCX made sense digital for faster loading times. But some games don't feel right digital. That said, how I feel as a fanboy is over-rode by the price factor. I do not pay for E-shops prices. I get my digital codes from GAME.
The guy is pushing his luck. He's no unlucky fanboy, his hobby has become a business interest and that's where he went too far. He can say **** Nintendo but he's being a cheeky **** thinking he can do as he pleases with Nintendos copyrighted content for a profit. People get videos taken down on youtube for far less.
I don't get why the UK is so cut off from Nintendo, but having next to zero shelf presence can't help. Nintendo UK are doing an dreadful job on marketing. Where are the sales reps making sure Nintendo products are in as many stores as possible? You can't blame it all on the Wii U's woes when the Wii U is barely seen or heard. The UK needs that price drop and Nintendo need to get the Wii U back in all the relevant shops with full stocks of the top games. They need an aggressive marketing campaign and to sponsor some big programs. They need to have demo stands in the cities, shopping centers and at big events. I called the Wii blind, but I believe in my Wii U. It now has a big and incredible line up of exclusive games, any gamer given the chance to see and demo it will be sold. The fact is currently in the UK it's not that the Wii U is disliked, it is just entirely off the radar, it always has been, do a survey and I know it will find that most people in the UK with awareness of the Wii U still think it is an add on for the Wii.
I loved Bubsy. Bubsy 2 wasn't so good, but the first remains very memorable to me. My only criticism of it was that it was too hard, but then I was and remain a noob.
Quality isn't the problem. Quantity is. Some of these games we have been waiting for for over 2 years and it's not exactly broad. It's a very thin lineup for the next 9 or so months.
