Re: Nintendo Wins $2 Million Lawsuit Against 'MiG Switch' Distributor

BLAZINOAH

While I'm mostly sympathetic to Nintendo on the matter of Switch family piracy, I'd be even more sympathetic to them if they cracked down on companies like Ubi Soft for their WEF-inspired 'own nothing and be happy' crap.

Remember Nintendo, if purchase no longer guarantees ownership, then piracy ceases to be theft.

Re: Nintendo Museum Overseas Visitors Reportedly Breaking 'No Photos' Rule

BLAZINOAH

@anoyonmus Its that mentality that leads to crimes against humanity.

Nintendo have unrealistic expectations about human behavior, even among the Japanese. My advice would be to keep the rules to absolute bare minimum while doing enough to protect their exhibits and property from leftist nutters like Just Stop Oil and Extinction Rebellion.

Re: Rumour: Switch 2's Codename Believed To Be In Latest Pokémon Data Leak

I have the following theory:

From Antiquity until the 1830s, the colour purple in fabrics was so rare that just one ounce of Tyrian Purple was worth three bars of gold. This suggests that the next generation Nintendo console will have a purple theme and be positioned as a premium, iterative version of the Switch (a glorified Switch Pro Plus if you will) costing $450+ at launch, which would be in line with those Switch 2 molds and CADs that were leaked a couple of weeks ago being accurate. It would also suggest that Nintendo are looking to extend the life of the existing Switch line towards 2030 by positioning it as Nintendo's budget format (much as they attempted to do with the 3DS after the Switch's release).

Re: Pour One Out For The Modchip Seller Facing Nintendo In Court Alone

BLAZINOAH

If Mr. Daly has done something immoral (not illegal since law is about power, not morality), then I condemn him for for it. However, it looks like Nintendo are on a power trip and over-extending their might into things that are at the very least a grey area. These grey areas need to be explored and thrashed out in court for all to see. As for selling pre-modded Switches with software, how do we know it isn't homebrew software? Are Nintendo going to start suing people like me for replacing the C-Stick on my New 3DS with a PSP-1000 analogue stick cap? Where will this end Nintendo?

@Tyranexx The only thing toxic about X under Musk these days are the usual insufferable far-left trolls.

Nintendo needs to focus on being a video game company first and foremost. Best not get distracted with all this all-in-one electronic home entertainment centre nonsense that has been in vogue for the last 25-to-30 years. Not having a dedicated web browser on the Switch was actually a blessing in disguise as the browsers on the 3DS were virtually unusable.

Re: Soapbox: Nintendo Needs More Characters Like Paper Mario's Vivian

Safe to say that Paper Mario is now very much a live culture war battleground and that SOME Paper Mario fans are almost as toxic as those who love All Elite Wrestling and Michael Jackson.

Personally, I like Paper Mario (especially the first two games) but I prefer both the Mario & Luigi series and especially Super Mario RPG.

@Lemonyoshi Never beg. Stand up for yourself and your moral and philosophical convictions. I do! You'll never please everyone. Besides, it seems that Paper Mario has a surprisingly toxic fanbase considering all the hateful comments YouTuber Lady Decade has received for complaining about a number of issues surrounding this remake such as competing political agendas and the rip-off price in the US.

@Vyacheslav333 To me regional differences should be limited to things that make sense and that are non-invasive. A clear example of this is changing all the meatballs to hamburgers in the Western versions of Alex Kidd in Miracle World. Tweaking things to retro-con certain minor details in a series can be tolerable if done with care and attention and are kept to a minimal for legitimate reasons of creative narrative, so long as they don't stray into the realms of censorship.

Here we go again...

I do appreciate how this version's English translation is more faithful to the GameCube Japanese original. Censorship is vile!

In fact, I would go as far as to say that I consider all Western versions of the Street Fighter franchise to be 'non-canon' because they swapped around the names of three of the four bosses from Street Fighter II. Also Nash is just a better name than Charlie.
