Re: Review: Bakugan: Champions Of Vestroia - The Kids Deserve So Much Better

@Heavyarms55 it all goes back to a showing that Wayforward did a few months ago (I believe it was after a Nintendo Direct, but I don’t remember). It was told that us (the fans) should not get our hopes up (which I didn’t, personally), but nobody-and I mean, nobody - was expecting it to be a Bakugan game. The comment section had a field day when that video came out. Add onto the fact that there was an article that was published on here about how we shouldn’t underestimate the game (even praising it), and ohhhh the irony in the score that was given here.

Re: Poll: So, What Was Nintendo's Best Year Ever?

Aronin

For me, personally, it was definitely right around the turn of the century. I was a huge Pokémon fanatic at that point, and Pokémon is what helped me get back into Nintendo’s fold (the NES was my first console (as well as Game Boy), but then I kinda fell out of Nintendo’s grasp for a while when a relative bought me a Sega Genesis (I never did have an SNES, but I always did want one just to play Super Mario World), and my parents got me a PlayStation for Christmas of ‘98 (they originally were going to get an N64, but the store salespeople where they bought my PlayStation at told them that the PlayStation has more games, so they took their word). so I had originally missed out on 2 of Nintendo’s consoles). Seeing Super Smash Bros. commercial made me not just want- but NEED- an N64. This time period was also when I met my best friends for life via us all being Pokémon fans and being in band together. 1999-2001 were arguably some of my happiest years with Nintendo (as well as the Game Cube era).

However, 2017 is definitely Nintendo’s best year overall.

Re: Streets Of Rage 4 Physical Editions Hit Stores Today

Just bought the digital version last night. The story mode is a slog if you don’t have other people to play with. There were plenty of times that I wanted to throw my controller out the window wondering why all the enemies are not only faster than me but also seem to hit harder as well (I’m looking at you fat biker chicks and Donovan-upgrade, Z!). If they would have included the run and roll option from SOR3, I would have been okay with the challenge, but it definitely didn’t make me want to play it again (especially since lives and scores don’t carry over from stage to stage (ex. Somehow ending up with more lives than what you started off with at the end of a stage, but only for them to reset back for the next stage)).

Re: You Can Now Battle Team Rocket's Jessie And James In Pokémon GO

Aronin

@Desrever @dux @Friendly yea, they replaced Jessie and James as the primary antagonists in Pokémon Chronicles with Richie replacing Ash as the main protagonist. They were just about as effective as Jessie and James were though (There actually was an episode of Chronicles where all 4 of them were training to join Team Rocket which was probably the best episode, imo).

Re: Random: Streets Of Rage Composer Put His Name On Title Screens Because His Mum Told Him To

Aronin

For those who don’t know how big of a deal this was, Yūji Naka (of Sonic fame), had to secretly put the development team credits into the first Sonic the Hedgehog game (when you start up the game and get to the black screen where it says “Sonic Team Presents..”, if you were to get rid of the text and whiten the background , you would see the team credits written in black text).

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #23 - Snowboard Kids

Aronin

This definitely was a game/series that was/is underrated. A fun Mario Kart clone, mixed in with some 1080 Snowboarding. I wish Atlus would give this series another chance. Maybe if we start a petition to ask for HD remakes on the switch then maybe they’ll listen. What do you all think?
