Publisher CFK has announced that an HD remake of Princess Maker 3 is headed to Nintendo Switch later this month. It'll be called Princess Maker - Faery Tales Come True.
If you're unfamiliar with the series, Princess Maker has you adopting a young girl from a fairy queen, taking on the role of her father by making memories with her and helping her grow right up until her 18th birthday. Her dream is to become a princess and it's your job to raise her and ensure that she can be the very best she can be.
To do that, you'll be able to have your daughter take on various part-time jobs and classes, participate in events, meet with rivals or even "a fateful someone" from a variety of prepared stories. Your choices have a direct impact on your daughter's status, resulting in multiple endings to discover.
The game is set to launch in Europe and North America on 23rd December and will be available directly from the Switch eShop.

I still haven't fished the first two games out of my Steam wishlist, but it's good news to be able to continue the series on Switch afterwards. Heard and been curious about it for at least a decade, and Long Live the Queen, a title seemingly drawing some inspiration from it, was a blast to play, juggling stats and finding the right combo needed to get through the challenges.
3 is a weird place to start.
why not a collection of 3 games in one go ?
Friendly reminder: it's the current page image for the Ready for Lovemaking trope.
"An HD"? Makes sense..
Looks at screenshots. "Professor Cool Bow?"
Uhm... Yeah...
Looks cheap and nasteh.
Cheap enough so might pick it up. But it has nothing in common with Mario maker so why even mention it?
I played PM2 and it was great. This is going onto my wishlist.
@Silly_G It’s a good game, sort of like an advanced Tamagochi.
@Swizze I was just saying it over and over in my head as well... "An HD... A HD... An HD... A HD..."
Hehehehe cough. A haughty thought this girl has. “Princesses aren’t made, they are born” is what my mother would always say.
Ohhh look at the time... I’m due to have high tea with a stubborn and ill mannered American named Calvin Coolidge.
Cheerio ☕️
@Archius9 I love when an HD game is released (≧▽≦)
@Swizze Its a really interesting way of titling a article.
I really hope they make a refine version instead of just a HD port.
@Swizze @Archius9
Folks, because 'H' is technically pronounced 'Aitch', saying 'an HD' is correct. Look, even the internet says so.
@ryancraddock apologies, you are correct. It's something I've never noticed before! For some reason reading an HD in my head just doesn't sound right though.
Gameplay doesn't do much for me. But the graphics are cute and a must have. It will be like live cute wallpaper in movement. SOLD!
Always wanted to play one of these. I'll wait to hear what pricing is like.
The premise is a tiny bit creepy... But people can play whatever they like, I'm glad its out there for players who want it!
Cool game idea, but I don't think this one is for me.
Isn't Princess Maker 2 the more popular one (since it was the first one translated into English)? Wonder why they'd go with this one.
@Silly_G I watched a Let's Play years ago of PM2 and it was sort of interesting.
What was weird is that some company licensed it for MS-DOS in America(?) in the mid-late '90s but never released it (it would have been a fairly niche game then... then again it was the era of Petz), and it just somehow leaked out.
I already have a bratty princess to take care of, I don't need another one.
@Swizze It makes sense to me, but I say "An Aeytch Dee game"
rather than "A Haytch Dee Game"
@ryancraddock fair dos.
@Swizze Now I’m starting to wonder how you pronounce HD in your head... 🤔
Thinking the whole word out rather than the acronym?
@BlueMage can't say it's something I'd commonly think about xD
“An HD remake?!??” Ha, next people will be like, “wait, I’m scheduled to get an X-ray tomorrow. AN X-ray, not ‘uh ecks-rae,’ whaaaaaa?! English is still the best language, though...and our characters? Sublime.
