Re: WayForward Announces Shantae 5, Arrives On Nintendo Switch Later This Year

Andrew5678

After a pretty meh day, this was just what I needed to get my spirits up. I'm Ret-2-Go on a new adventure! Looks like I'll need to catch up with the Half Genie Hero DLC in the meantime!

On the topic of Shantae, I had a question I wanted to ask about: Is there a known reason why the original game boy title is only available on the 3DS right now? They've ported their other titles to different platforms, and it seems weird that the game that started the franchise isn't available elsewhere, even on Steam.

Re: Random: Is State Of Play PlayStation's Take On Nintendo Direct?

Andrew5678

Being able to have announcements at your own leisure has been great for Nintendo-generate buzz and get people in on what they've got planned. Heck, it's like an early Christmas for me, even when I'm not wowed by the show.

I'm only surprised that Sony, and by extension Microsoft, haven't tried to do their own thing sooner, especially with how much info can be lost with everything happening at E3.

Re: Video: Get Your First Look At The Nintendo Labo VR Kit

Andrew5678

@Desrever This kit seems to address pretty much every major issue with other Labo kits. Optional price points, more content and game variety, and it seems like it's expanding on the Toy-Con Garage, which can give it a ton of life after the builds are made and the available games have been played. The only thing missing would be the option to share levels online, but I can see some obvious problems with that given the freedom in the maker. As of now, it's also the cheapest iteration of VR available... so, if nothing else, you can't say it's not unique.

@MH4 I have to wonder how anyone who played the Virtual Boy feels about Nintendo's return to VR.

Re: Cuphead Is Coming To Nintendo Switch, Thanks In No Small Part To Microsoft

Andrew5678

@faint Even if it's a small IP, I'd be shocked for any company to willingly give one away. Not just Nintendo either, it just seems to be a general thing with game companies to keep IP's and let them sit (or in the Big N's case, have them cameo in Smash ).

I wonder if this might be a means to help the game sell in Japan, sort of like with Minecraft since XBox was never popular there, and computers haven't really been too big either. I've never been too interested in Microsoft, but it's still weird to see one of the big console companies being so buddy-buddy with each other, heh.

Re: Japanese Charts: Jump Force Kicks New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe Out Of The Top Spot

Andrew5678

@Spudtendo Guest characters have always helped games boost sales. Mortal Kombat, and Soul Calibur have all gotten a ton of hype and sales from them, and Smash is more or less a video game equivalent of Jump Force. It's hardly surprising.

For what it's worth, the gameplay seems to be fine (maybe not enough to find a competitive crowd), it just seems to have big problems visually (Sonic '06 comparisons aren't a good sign). I also think people who like these kinds of things would have wanted something different from the usual arena fighter that Jump games get, though probably not enough to diminish interest in the game.

Re: HAL Laboratory Celebrates Its 39th Anniversary With A Cute BOXBOY Comic

Andrew5678

39 years, and still going strong. Smash is a global hit, Kirby's had consistency and quality that not many series' can boast, Earthbound has a ton of respect among core gamers, and their latest series BOXBOY is getting its fourth entry, moving on from handheld to home console.

All-in-all, a great legacy with a bright future ahead. Best to the HAL employees of the past, present, and future, along with everyone else working with the Big N. Looking forward to what they and the rest of the industry bring in the future.

Re: The Pokémon Company Is Now Hiring For An "Upcoming Mobile Game"

Andrew5678

No clue. The mobile games are pretty much entirely different games on their own with the Pokemon branding, so it could be anything. I don't expect it to be related to any existing spin-offs, so it's probably going to be something new. Maybe another shared release with the Switch.

In terms of games designed for consoles first, I'm hoping that we'll get a revival of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series, since those games are generally successful, well received, and would transition over the easiest. I'm also hopeful for the Ranger games to make a comeback, but that might take a bit longer since the Joy-Cons gyroscope has the issue of drifting-and spinning it around wouldn't help much. Plus, without a stylus, it would probably be a bit awkward to play on the go.

Re: Rumour: Metroid Prime Trilogy For Nintendo Switch Is Ready To Be Released

Andrew5678

With Yoshi being released soon, I get the feeling we'll see a Direct that'll go over the game, as well as any other highlights for the Spring/early Summer, Fire Emblem included. If there's going to be any news soon, that'll be where it comes in.

As for feasibility, porting the games over shouldn't be a massive headache, and it sounds like something that would have been planned even if MP4 wasn't restarted. I'm also hoping for a 2D Metroid on the Switch-it would be simpler to make while giving the fans something to help tide over the wait.

Re: Smash Ultimate Nearly Featured Decidueye Rather Than Incineroar, Lack Of ARMS Fighters Explained

Andrew5678

@subpopz A bit more likely than ARMS in my opinion (despite my hopes). Xenoblade Chronicles was already a franchise and had established selling power. If Nintendo wanted to ensure people would grab the DLC characters, since it was the company itself that chose them, Rex and Pyra would be a safe bet since they'd probably assume XC2 would do very well (which it did, becoming the bestselling game yet)

Re: Smash Ultimate Nearly Featured Decidueye Rather Than Incineroar, Lack Of ARMS Fighters Explained

Andrew5678

I knew it, it was just some bad timing with ARMS and XC2. That was honestly the biggest hurdle I could think of-ARMS is pretty much Nintendo's premiere Switch title, and Sakurai's a massive Xenoblade Chronicles fan, plus the latter was already a franchise. There was nothing beyond Sakurai's approval holding them back, and I doubt he'd have trouble turning them into fighters.

@MH4 I'm slightly hopeful for an ARMS fighter for DLC. The character abilities and ARMS combination makes everyone except MAYBE Biff great for the game, and there's the theory of Spring Man getting put into the game, while his Assist Trophy is reskinned as Springtron. TBH, the exclusion of ARMS music was actually pretty jarring too. Hopefully they can be patched in, even if it's just the original tracks-there's too much good music, it'd be a crime if it was never included

Re: Rumour: Legendary Entertainment Has Plans For More Live-Action Pokémon Movies

Andrew5678

Well, plans are different than insane productions, so until some official announcements come out, I'll remain skeptical.

Detective Pikachu itself looks good so far, and while I'd be okay with a connected universe, I only have trouble see it occur if it's going to be really in-depth. Using the established take on Pokemon and rolling with that, with a few connections, would be easiest.

Also, I'm doubtful it'll impact the main series much, but if Poekmon does push more detailed models in the future, I hope they only go as far as what Pokken did. I like the look, but realistic Pokemon will always be odd to me... also, I'd be down with catching deerstalker Pikachu, but I don't know how much of Detective Pikachu's Ryme City would be referenced (still need to play it before the movie comes out)

Re: Some Fans Are Calling For A Boycott Of Pokémon After Creatures Inc Shares Controversial Tweet

Andrew5678

I don't know much about the controversy, and what little I can understand from the comments and article, it's on the lower end of bad things companies can do (granted, things like attacking and demonizing fans are at the bottom ofthe barrel, but it's way worse).

The fact that this got posted at all is weird to me. It feels like one of those "So-and-So is at this really cool place" kind of posts that I see with Nintendo Minute occasionally. Either they didn't know, or the PR manager didn't properly estimate people's reactions. These guys work of Pokemon, a massive all-ages franchise with a big kids audience. It feels so odd that something like this would fly under the radar if there was even tertiary knowledge of any problems with the location.

Re: Disappointing 3DS Software Sales Show The Console's Slow Death In Japan

Andrew5678

No big surprise, but hardly a disappointment. The 3DS has had a great life span with tons of evergreen titles, and can stick to the sidelines while the Switch takes the spotlight (as a budget option, with the system iteration and its games being relatively cheap compared to home console) or just retire with the dignity of a mostly healthy lifespan, save for its... I'll say "humble" beginnings.

On the games front, the recent releases were good choices either way. Older ports of popular titles would draw SOME sort of audience, but they're not built from the ground up, so resources are saved. No major losses, and those interested get to either revisit old games, or try them out for the first time.

I should mention I'm concerned for Wario Ware since I don't think Gold did great, and that was going to be used to gauge interest in the series. Hopefully the rest of the game sales are looked at. If it came short of expectations, it's likely more of a 3DS problem than a lack of interest in the series.

Re: Review: Fitness Boxing - Rhythm Trappings Help This Limber Wii Fit Successor Land Its Punches

Andrew5678

Between this and ARMS, I can't help but think that we're due for a Punch-Out entry at some point. If Punch-Out could work with the Wii remote, the Joy-Cons can only improve what can be done. Heck, even a Wii port with a few additional goodies would fill a niche on Switch hardly anyone is clamoring to fill.

Speaking of niches (or as niche as the series can be considered ), if The Wii Fit series is continued, would it be rebranded as Switch Fit? Not sure if that would catch on as well title-wise, but I'd be down with Wii Fit Trainer getting a red shirt, and a makeover using her Smash look.

Re: Nintendo Focused On The Current Switch, So Don't Expect A Revision Anytime Soon

Andrew5678

Well, not too much I want to try guess except that we'll probably hear about a Switch revision after the Christmas sales are over. The "current focus on Joy-Con application" could mean that they're dropping a key selling point for the Switch... or more likely going to shift away from it, if it does get dropped. Assuming it does happen, I feel like it would sort of be fazed out, like the 3D for the 3DS.

On another note, I have no idea why people are so convinced that we'll be getting massive overhauls for new Switch iterations. Nintendo's done it before, but even with big shape changes like with the Gameboy Advance and the SP, they functioned the same and played the same games. This holds true with the 3DS revisions, which mostly just got rid of 3D (which all games could be played without) and got a bit of extra horsepower for some games. The few times they tried adding exclusive features... I can't even say that they fragmented the fanbase. They tried with the DSi line of games, but I never knew anything about that back when I was a more casual fan, and the supposed mass of games that were exclusive to the New 3DS mainly amounted to a handful of SNES titles and games. I'd say they didn't put in the effort, but if they did, Nintendo would probably be lambasted for splitting the fanbase, especially if people felt forced to buy a new iteration of the same console.

On another note, lot of the motion controls that were made for certain games would become obsolete, and the co-op would be more difficult on a smaller screen without Joy-Cons to play with two people (unless those are included, but then... what's the point of a handheld if you have to carry around Joy-Cons too).

As most can tell, I'm pretty cynical to the idea and hope it's just minor things like a better kickstand and battery life

Re: Locked Character Roster In Smash Bros. Ultimate Raises Concerns About Tournament Play

Andrew5678

Honestly, the solution is pretty simple, just add a tournament mode. ARMS managed it fine, and its not nearly as big as Smash. Just do what ARMS did, and and make it so that it's only for local wireless with other consoles.

Also, this is only the second time I'm hearing about this being a problem, with the first obviously being ARMS. Are Tournament modes with unlocked characters standard, or has this just not been a notable problem until recently?

Re: Video: GungHo Online Entertainment Releases New Teaser Trailer For Ninjala

Andrew5678

@MH4 Art style wise, that's a reasonable comparison. The Ninja's clothing style reminds of Splatoon's, and the art style and UI makes me think of ARMS.

That's not a bad thing, especially since the gameplay looks fairly distinct. Lock-on fighting with wall running, risk and reward with the bubblegum, and probably some more nuances. May not hit it big, but I think it'll find a loyal niche.

Re: Nintendo Has Relaunched Its Fire Emblem Portal Website, Exciting Things On The Way?

Andrew5678

Three Houses and FE:Heroes news is obvious enough, but I can't help but hope that there may be another remake at some point. Echoes, while suffering from dated map design and possibly needing a bit more work on the dungeons, was a wonderful experience. A great blend of old and new FE (thankfully more old than new) and I'd love to see some other old titles get a similar treatment.

Other than that, I'm stumped. Yeah, possible FE character for Smash is an obvious guess, but I'm under the assumption that it'll be announced some time after Piranha Plant is released-probably in the Summer to sync up with Three Houses if it does happen.

Re: The Next ARMS Party Crash Is Coming Up, But It's Happening On Smash Ultimate's Launch Day

Andrew5678

Not as big into Smash as ARMS. I'm mostly a single player at home, and while online will be fun, I get the feeling that I'm going to get a good amount of salt out of fighting more experienced players. Ironically, the Sprits and single player mode are giving me the idea that I'll be more into this version of Smash. Like with ARMS and Splatoon, there's that satisfaction of getting collectibles by grinding away, and doing well to make the experience possible and, in some cases easier.

As for ARMS or Smash... I've gotten more into ARMS than I have for any Smash game, so I'll lean towards that. Gotta support my main man Spring Man! Besides, there aren't an Smash events going on right now that I'll be missing, my biggest concerns are with spoilers and leaks for the game.

@Pod I enjoy ARMS for the same reason I enjoy Smash-there are nuances and details to notice, but I don't need to remember minor details and frame data too keep up with good players. They're both different from other fighters, but in their own ways, with Smash focused partly on platforming, and ARMS focused on spacing in a 3D arena (the latter was also really interesting to me since 3D fighters in general are so rare... though with For Honor, Tekken, and SC coming out along with ARMS, maybe there's some sort of renaissance coming up?)

@thesilverbrick The theory has come up that Spring Man could get in if Sakurai turns his Assist Trophy into Springtron when he's being played, so there's a wider window than most. Still, it comes down to whoever Nintendo picked for Sakurai to choose (or suggested, it always felt vague to me). On the off chance that Spring Man doesn't get in, I'd bank on 1.Ribbon Girl 2.Max Brass and 3. Dr.Coyle having the best odds, in that order.

Re: Masahiro Sakurai On The Smash Bros. Character Decision Process And Piranha Plant's Surprise Inclusion

Andrew5678

@Stocksy I kind of feel the same way about the reveals, but I don't think it's an inherently bad thing. Showing off the new characters being revealed is a great way to build up excitement, and let people know what they're buying. At the very least, the fanfare the big reveals get is still cool, even if it does make avoiding spoilers difficult.

As for getting burnt out by endless hype, you might just want to avoid comment sections for a while. I'm planning to do the same myself, though my problem is the opposite since I'm kind of tired of people nitpicking the game or complaining about their character not getting in. Not looking for blind praise, I just tend to see a lot of default negativity, especially with character selection.

Re: Nintendo Tries To Give ARMS A Leg-Up With New Party Crash Tournament Event

Andrew5678

@SpottyBulborb I think ARMS could use a few more wrinkles in the combat (maybe emphasize verticality for a sequel), and possibly an upped tempo in speed, but I think the game is great, and is still going to be at least solid if an improved sequel comes out. Also, since a lot of variety comes from character/ARMS combos, I'd like it if single player content took notes from the Party Crash and emphasize unique combos and challenges.

@thesilverbrick I think one factor that helps cement games getting into Smash are the fact that they have more entries. Pretty much every character in Smash gets in when they have at least two games under their belt. It's probably more of a timing thing, but it mostly holds (Ice Climbers, Duck hunt, and possibly Splatoon are exceptions, and Corrin and Inciniroar is unique since his series has a long legacy, but the character is new).

Re: Feature: 10 Facts You Should Know About Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC

Andrew5678

Though I rarely pre-order games or season passes, I'm planning to make an exception with the fighters pack since I'm confident in Sakurai, but I'm really wondering who was picked.

People keep saying that Nintendo chose the DLC fighters, but a lot tend to assume that Nintendo is treating Sakurai like a work horse with five specific choices. The way Sakurai worded it, it sounded like he was given a list or pitched ideas for characters, otherwise it wouldn't matter if he decided whether they would make good fighters, he'd just be doing it. Of course, Sakurai could just be being vague, but there's no way to guess anything right now.

I'll say this, even if it turns out to be true, I'm not seeing much precedence for random characters like a Fortnite guy getting in (as long as anime characters don't get in, they have their own games, especially Goku). I'm hoping it's just Nintendo characters, like a Gen 8 Pokemon to promote future projects and make sure people want the DLC. if there are 3rd Parties, I'd want someone with a long legacy with Nintendo, like Rayman, or... actually, that's all I've got

Re: Overwatch Director Says Blizzard Is "Very Open-Minded" About Switch Release

Andrew5678

Eh, I'd lean towards this just being lip service rather than anything serious. I'm sure Overwatch is possible with a bit of downscaling, but I also recall Activision-Blizzard not being particularly happy with profits generated by PS4 and XBoxOne sales. While Switch is gaining momentum, I don't know if they see putting their title on a system with such a comparatively small user base as worthwhile.

To clarify, I'm not usually too hard on companies that do this, but between Overwatch's lootboxes (they could at least provide an in-game shop for buying things... you know, without the government cracking down on them) and the recent Diablo controversy, they're looking more like Activision than Blizzard these days, and the former does not think much of long term planning, since it means waiting for money to come.

Probably just me being a bit salty, though

Re: Nintendo Grabs Smartphone-Related Trademarks For Zelda: Spirit Tracks And Mario Vs. Donkey Kong

Andrew5678

Assuming that these IP's are coming to smart phones, they make sense. The DS era of Zelda games always had you leading Link around with a stylus, and that would translate well to someone using a phone, even if a finger could block more of the screen than a stylus. March of the Minis with you building tracks with your hand and going around managing the Minis paths makes sense as well. Not expecting ports, though I can see Zelda getting a game where you pay once, where the March of the Minis tries the free-to-start approach.

Re: Epic Games Closes $1.25 Billion Investment Deal Thanks To Success Of Fortnite

Andrew5678

I hope Epic is taking notes from Ubisoft on how NOT to sell so many shares that you nearly lose your company.

@Retupmocnin Epic still has the Unreal which it gets royalties off of, but that's not what these companies are investing in. They see tons of profits from a short term, they'll want a piece of the pie without considering how long it will last. Fortnite is one of the better Battle Royale games, but between the fad fizzling out, and getting oversaturated (even COD is in on this) one has to wonder how much foresight these companies have for long term goals.

Unfortunately, instant gratification is the name of the game in most cases, so I'm fairly skeptical to say the least.

Re: Review: The World Ends With You: Final Remix - A Stylish Reimagining Of The DS Cult Classic

Andrew5678

Years and years of hearing how great or unique a series is always gives it a feeling of mystique to me, and The World Ends With You (or it's silly acronym TWEWY) is one of those games. Seeing the curtain revealed and finally learning about it has me really interested in grabbing it. I love messing around with motion controls, and even if I'm antsy about smudging my screen, it would be cool to finally use it for something (maybe I'll even try making some drawings in Splatoon 2's plaza).

Let's Go and Smash take priority, but as soon as I have a chance to grab a new Switch title, this will be the first I get. Thought about getting an old DS copy, but I've got enough to play on my 3DS as is

Re: Review: Luigi's Mansion - Experience The GameCube Classic The Way It Was Meant To Be Played

Andrew5678

With Luigi's Mansion 3 on the way for Switch, I've been itching to grab the original and Dark Moon since this remake was announced. It's not every day you get to play the entirety of a series to see the different changes over the years, especially with the long gaps between the Luigi's Mansion games

On the game itself, I'm liking most of the options and changes. Co-op sounds a bit limited with one cartridge, but I understand not allowing players to download an entire game from a friend. The control options and strobulb from Dark Moon are nice additions, and smaller tweaks like increasing the timer on when money disappears are cool, even if most may glance over it. Looking forward to this, especially since I won't be as freaked out about this games as I was when I was a kid, haha.

Also wondering if Grezzo will be moving on to the Switch soon. They're pretty much the 3DS port guys right now, and while they are great at this, I'd be interested to see them tackle an established series against like with Tri Force Heroes, or try a sequel to Ever Oasis-or maybe something new. You never know.

Re: Random: Super Mario Party Shows That Nintendo Still Can't Decide Birdo's Gender

Andrew5678

Is this what counts for big gaming controversies these days? If so, I'd say gaming is either extremely pleasant, or extremely boring right now. Birdo's pink, has a frilly bow, and a diamond ring, things that girls normally like, so I think of her as a girl. There's been no grand announcement to finalize what Birdo is, and since Mario never toys around with character design to mess with people's idea of what sex someone is, I'm leaning towards my own theory. If you think otherwise, there's some vagueness to make different theories reasonable, but this isn't worth a grand debate.

Re: Reggie Says Nintendo Competes For Consumer Time, Not Concerned About Direct Competition

Andrew5678

Well, I think they kind of are competing with other outlets directly if they're after consumer time, it's just that most companies don't see it that way. They focus on making products that will sell, and have lasting longevity in different ways, whether it be through sequel or IP licensing.

If we're talking gaming, Nintendo hasn't really had a direct competitor since the early 2000's, ESPECIALLY in handhelds, the one gaming platform that has had the "audacity" to remain something with low specs while still selling great. Sony's the market leader, but after the PS2, they've been content to slug it out with Microsoft. Nintendo's just been doing it's own thing for years and appealing to a different demographic. I wouldn't mind Microsoft, Sony, or another Sega-like company to come and light a fire under their seat, but as it stands, I'm not betting anyone is brave enough to risk not having a "too cool for school, too mature for your parents" image :/

Re: Nintendo Wants To Be An Entertainment Company, Rather Than A Gaming One

Andrew5678

I'm down with Nintendo pushing more licensing and media based on their IP's. They made short films based on Pikmin and Star Fox, and they have a Mario movie, plus amiibo coming out for different franchises and being implemented in different games. Plus, there have been animated series' in the past, and comic/manga adaptations for Mario, Zelda, Pokemon and even new and upcoming ones like for Splatoon and ARMS. Not really anything new, but I can get behind a bigger push, especially for adaptations. My dream would be for serialized comic series'/one shots for a bunch of games, mainstream or obscure, but smaller, self-contained stories are still nice.

Re: Rumour: New Nintendo Switch SKU Planned For Late 2019

Andrew5678

@Pod The DSi sounds like the New 3DS in how it tries to bring more to the table, but can't go all of the way with upgrades, lest the player base get split in half. It doesn't seem like it's all that worthwhile in either case (though I'm sure the perks are nice, they're probably not "trade in my old system for the new model" nice)

I understand the idea of having Switch models dedicated to specific uses, but the whole point of the Switch is to be a flexible console that you can do anything with. Nintendo can't make big upgrade that'll split the base, and shrinking the console would mean they'd have to fuse the Joy-Con to the Switch-eliminating a lot of game functionality and easy co-op gameplay. Any big revisions just seem more likely to compromise the entire point of the Switch. Admittedly, I'm hoping Nintendo just sticks to the one regular version, but I can't imagine there being massive changes to the current model.

Re: Review: Super Mario Party - The Life And Soul Of The Party Once More

Andrew5678

Mario Party's a series I want to try out, but never have friends to play with locally. It's always been a bummer, especially with this entry on Switch, which makes getting together with people easier than ever. I've been thinking of grabbing some more digital titles for on the go gameplay, and having Mario Party at the ready is sure to impress the girls Not a major priority though, but it's on my 'To Buy' list.

On the bright side, the game itself sounds great, and I love that it's taking the Switch's capabilities further. It sounds like a more experimental game with all of the modes, and packing those in with a more standard MP experience was a smart move. It says something when the most common complaints are that the game doesn't take certain aspects far enough, which makes me hope they'll continue in this direction (not that they'd stop, Mario Party always sells well, but it can sell better if they build on better ideas and formulas)

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Prepaid Cards "Selling Extremely Well", Says Major Japanese Retailer

Andrew5678

I picked up the 12 Month subscription. I knew I'd get plenty out of it, and frankly, I just didn't want to think about it. Ironically, I'll probably be cooling down on the Online for now, but that's just because I've played a few hundred hours in both ARMS and Splatoon. I need a break. Smash is the only other online title I'll be digging into, though I'll hop into some other things for fun here and there.

Curious to see how many people grab the service. I think a good chunk of people used their free subscription for the online events. Splatfests, Party Crashes, Tennis Tournaments are done, so we'll probably see it stabilize after Smash. No notable differences in the games I play, but that could all change.

Re: Mega Man 11 - A Glorious Return To Form For One Of Gaming's Greatest Heroes

Andrew5678

Played the demo, and I was very much reminded of the older titles that I grabbed on my 3DS-tough as nails gameplay, but still feeling just manageable enough to get through (while using the extra save feature for Virtual Console games). Given how Mega Man games aren't usually the longest, and all of the extra challenges and collectibles, the price seems fair. I'll grab it when I can.

Re: Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn Is Actually Compatible With All 3DS Systems

Andrew5678

It's games like these that have me debating getting a New 2DS XL to replace my 3DS XL. Along with my Switch, and Persona 5 (I'm on PS3, don't judge me) 3DS just has a TON of great, evergreen games that I want to play in it's library. These remakes are just icing on the cake!

Kirby's Epic Yarn itself was a blast, but I lost the disc, and haven't played my Wii in a long while anyway. It'll be nice to have this on the go and finally complete it, though I expect minor cases of rage to come. Kirby games feel so manageable, that I'm always kicking myself for not getting every collectable in a single session since the games feel so easy. Epic Yarn seemed to have a TON to collect, and a few missteps could mess up a perfect run.

Oh well, the charm and fun will outweigh the rage in a heartbeat, so no worries

Re: Super Mario Odyssey Art Book Reveals "Official Bowsette" Concept Existed Long Before The Fan-Made One

Andrew5678

I prefer this design to Bowsette. It's a lot more menacing, and almost a bit creepy with how Bowser's features look on Peach, like he's corrupted her-which makes sense given the possession. Bowsette's basically Peach in the cheapest Bowser cosplay she could find-couldn't even match his colors, she got lazy and grabbed a black dress. Admittedly, the sites I go to haven't been bombarded by Nintendo version for the past few days, so I'm kind of biased.

Also, if we do assume the Super Crown works like everyone else seems to (you know, with a strict set of rules like the rest of the Mario canon has, I guess) Bowser turning into peach would have a green and beige dress, but probably still just be Peach. You can argue about Toadette's hair matching Peach's, and while the former's anatomy is sketchy, the latter's hair is... hair, with could just be done up like that automatically... ugh, I'm thinking about this too hard...

Re: Vivendi Set To Sell All Shares In Ubisoft By March 2019

Andrew5678

Ubisoft is similar to Nintendo in that, with some dumb decisions usually comes good and great games with a lot of talented people. While they sometimes fall into the slimier business practices of AAA gaming, I think they're a good company and can really hit it out of the park when things come together.

Glad to see they're doing well, I just hope they're careful about who buys their shares in the future, lest history repeat itself.
