i just want to point out my game gear works like the day i got it, crappy screen and all.... no recapping ever done.

@CrazyZelda79 you fool this is a game gear made by sega not nintendo which is where metroid is from...makes me think you didnt read the article and just misread the headline and breezed through the arrticle. or you have no clue who makes what games.

i just dont see nintendo removing the removable joycons...and i highly doubt they will do away with docking...thats a freaking 3ds at this point with better graphics...it also negates the whole "switch" part of the name...the whole point of the switch is use it where you want when you want...and making it just a handheld is dumb and i just cant see nintendo doing that.

so for 35 years dpad on the right side is fine now some idiot decides to take good NES controllers(which are getting harder to find) and then totally ruins it....i swear this is just another millennial thing they are going to ruin....anyone else notice this they ruin everything it seems.

the fact that its gonna take two patches to get the framerate to 24-28fps is so sad...the game runs poorly now and and the fact that two patches both giving it 2-4 fps so thats 4-8 fps total and that only is getting it to the 24-28 fps tells you the game runs at best 20fps its almost unplayable...erm check that it is unplayable for a racing game....this is the problem the switch has for me is yes its getting games like the other systems(doom wolf so on) they look worse then thier counterparts play worse as well as far as framerate goes and fluidity and the worse part is the price for the games are the same...so my point is unless you really want a handheld version of a game you should probably get it on another system if you can.

@KayFiOS rare replay sucked i have it and nastolgia is better then reality,

and the one thing google never mention is how they will sell all the info they get from your gaming on stadia cause you know they will....

i guess those pokemon in this region are some bad mofos, and are tired of nerds trying to catch them all...in turn they have decided to take up arms and now we have POKEMON GUN where the pokemon hunt you!!!

the only way that would be a gameboy made today is if it was sony or microsoft making it....past will tell you nintendo doesnt do modern they do funky and wacky designs, ie gamecube N64 og DS, and so on.

@SwitchForce his point was you get the physical copy, when the servers go quite you cant just say in 30 years take the game and pop it in like i do with my old NES games from when i was a kid....there for the game is incomplete and like a digital game anyhow....and you know what he is correct...all theese digital games you buy when the servers finally get taken down you wont be able to download them if you need to for say your hard drive fails(which they all do eventually) same goes for the physical games you buy you will have a incomplete buggy game.

i just repurchased the xbox one and got the X main reasons were the fact i could play some of my games with my switch friend but with way better graphics(palidins and smite) the other reason was gamepass...there are alot of games i wanted that honestly for the price of two games i get access to for the whole year.... 198 games in there you have access to, totally worth it for someone who doesnt want to spend alot on certain games.

if you look at the state of gaming and leave the USA youll know one thing Ninty doesnt need xbox but xbox does need ninty...xbox one worldwide the switch is only about 10-12 million consoles behind the xbox one...;which has had what a 4 year headstart...thats sad....from the last i saw xbox one was at about 41 million and the switch lifetime is at about 31 million good example

you tell me whats morel likely nintendo making games for another console? or MS? ill put my money on MS especially since outside of the US MS cant sell systems. if there was one system that was going to die off it will be MS xbox console...i fully believe MS will turn the xbox brand into a service like netflix and leave the console market....and only make games and try to make a steam service for consoles.

10$ each is where my buying point is for theese games....sorry but im not buying theese a 3rd or even 4th time in the case of RE HD, got it on the gamecube, the ps1 and the ps4 will not buy it for more then 10$ same goes for 4, but 0 i only played on the GC and kinda wanna play it again.

im sorry but the chances of nintendo making games for microsoft is not gonna happen....but MS making games for a Ninty system that i can totally see happening, i also see maybe MS making the next piece of hardware for nintendo and going 3rd party to nintendos system...but i never think we will see a nintendo game on a ms system and their own system they wouldnt never do that...

anyone outside the USA knows the xbox doesnt sell that well they dont break 500 systems in a month in japan, and in the EU its being outsold by both the ps4 and switch, and even in the US where its semi popular its now being outsold...nitnneod can catch xbox one sales total in a year or two more.

@krvstkvlt sounds to me like you want a different game all together....i just hope this isnt so easy like pokemon lets go and more like ruby or sun or my fav emerald.

@Moroboshi876 replayed 2 on my dreamcast and i can see why they are remaking it...the controls are horrific for today standards....

@earthinheritor they need to push a new splatoon game and really needed metroid to bring in a more adult audience, when will nintendo realize the money isnt in the tween market its in the adult market. people in my age group have money and would like to spend it o good games but lately the eshop is full of crap phone games....that needs to stop just cause someone can make a game for your system doenst mean you should allow it...im looking you vaccine.....im so sick of the "indies" the games are just so low quality more times then not.

they need better ads with more mature content...thier audience has dwindled down to nintendo enthusiest who then tell thier friends...they need to start showing more mature games less mario and pokemon go(which is horrible with motion controls everyone i have showed that game to has said pokemon go is free)

@thesilverbrick by doing so you undervalue your company and after so many quarters investors catch on also it may be illegal to purposfully lower your goals with the intent to influence your stock price.

@OorWullie your forgot one major thing that is needed.... a way to MESSAGE friends to say hey wanna play a game,,,,that doesnt require the app...why there is no messaging system is beyond me. add a parental control that disables it for those super paranoid parents that think the internet is evil but for everyone else how bout give use messaging.

20$ for something they can pump out on a CNC machine? it cost them like 25 cents to make that thin one.....honestly theres nothing special about these and i feel bad for the idiots who pay for this.

@LUIGITORNADO it really isnt, the community is thriving still....just got the game for my cousin(34 yrs old) for Christmas and hes pumped 70 hours in already

@Nico87 why cause some 8 year olds are hacking thier system and cheating in splatoon 2 i ran up against a team(reported them) that literally never ran out of ammo the whole match never once had to swim to fill up and it was not fun at all they are ruining that game little by little. i also wasnt to happy when they hacked mario odysey to put nude pics in it... i really hope nintendo starts banning consoles that would be better then just banning accounts...

only comment i made is anyone who got hyped for the game this year just doesnt pay attention to nintendo they never showed a single piece of artwork or any info besides hey we are making this. with that said i knew something was wrong with development for that one reason

@Stocksy when your playing competivily and expecting one level and one game type then you get a level you never played before and a game type you werent expecting thats the problem

i honestly wish instead of letting this game wind down nintendo would sell a expansion pack of sorts for like 10$ and give us updates or at least splatfest until splatoon 3 i dont see the point of release a demo when they are winding down....unless splatoon 3 announcement at e3?

@techdude its so damn expensive for what it is and steam has it and all the dlc for 20$ i can get it all on my ps4 for 15 and well xbox gave the damn game away....this is a developer trying to kjuhygtfghj and pillage the eshop store and our pockets....this is a 10$ game at most its fun for around 10 minutes unless your a tween or immature and find stupid kjhgfcfvgh like slinging a goat through a open world....

im liking it but i have one question that maybe someone can answer for me....is there voice chat and if so how do i use it with this game....i see other players with speakers next to thier name so assume there's some kind of voice chat.

@PipeGuy64Bit you thinik a switch pro is annoying but its at least feasable, the switch min crap makes me laugh cause the main thing with the switch is its abiltiy to be played where and how you want making the joycons non removable is not gonna happan and is one of the dumbest things ive heard a analyst say

@DTfeartheBEARD as long as gyro aim is OPTIONAL i hated the wii version of trilogy cause i hated the motion controls i dont like swinging arms or pointing at my screen when playing games so just make is a option is all i ask for those that want that crap.

@sixrings almost anyone who likes nintendo games, they are the least buggy and best production quality out there....theres a reason why they can stick around when their systems dont sell but their games still sell millions, hell look at wiiu and gamecube for examples.GC sold around 21 million and WiiU was around 14, both have already been outsold by the switch, the top ten GC games all sold over 2 million copies and all were made by nintendo hell you have to go all the way to number 15 to find a 3rd party game RE4 and thats the only one in top 25 againm on WiiU top ten games all nintendo all sold over 2 million copies, thats 1 out of 7 systems had each of theese games. on top of that only one game in top 15 wasnt nintendo made minecraft....Point is Nintendo is the ONLY developer besides maybe Naughty Dog that you know when they release a mainline game not a spinoff that its gonna play good and be a good game...cant say that with anyone else again with the exeption of Naughty Dog.

@Mamabear i had same issue with my wife, i ended up buying a second switch on ebay since i had a extra dock and controllers i just bought the tablet cost me 150$ if you dont have a extra dock run to bestbuy the insignia dock is 40$ and it was on sale when i was there its confirmed compatible with 5.0 firmware one of the few 3rd party ones thats aproved.

@GrailUK they were ok, but they had a third party type feel it was a cheap plastic, also the screens were not flat at all at least not the surface of them they were wavy...hence why i said more like the switch quality.

@MadJay1664 never see a switch lite they would just drop the price of the switch. do what i did if you dont care about docking or need a second one i bought it on ebay for 166$ no dock then bought a 40$ insignia dock(ceritified to work after 5.0) from bestbuy.. i needed a second system for my wife.

@BusyTressa theres no way a lite version is coming they would just cut the price of the current model...no removable controllers means its not a switch its a 3ds without 3d and second screen. the pro version is more likely as people want better graphics nobody is asking for a system without removable joycons. i see nintendo just dropping system to 250$ at e3 and if a pro version comes out holiday youll see another 50$ off most likely for the base unit...

Michael Pachter is a joke...no nintendo wont release one without removable joycons as that would make at least one of nintendos OWN games not work...Mario Party this is about the dumbest thing he has ever said..

@ottospooky i think your the exceotion im 36 turning 37 this month and i second screen but its my ipad that has tv on, hell as we speak in playing my splatfest while watching the colts playoff game on my ipad on hulu live...

on another note does nintendo realize thier mobile games suck, and the only peoplei who really care about them live in china and japan or are little kids. kive tried them all and they are just garbage compared to thier console counterparts. i wish people would show nintendo people dont want to be nickled and dimed with microtransactions.

@Bunkerneath the difference in the D pad is night and day no controller on the switch compares and the fact it works with all the mega man compilation games along with any game that only requires two buttons really. hell its even great for hulu...just wish they added a home button or maybe i missed some combo of buttons that acts that way.

this is getting rediculous first someone wants to sue fore a dance they did in a show 30 years ago and has become part of our culture...cmon who doesnt do the carlton when that tom jones song comes on....on top of that now we are gonna sue for swinging our arms behind us like a damn wierdo...thats not a dance its a movement...

@ParasolStars at least sony isnt coasting thier baseball game evolves every year whether it be smoother graphics or addigtion of tweaking your swing or pitching to whatever you want. i do miss nfl2k games they at least tried new thyings i remember first person football in that game back on the gamecube i believe.. while it wasnt perfect it was fun to be a qb and play inside the helmet;

@FX102A holiday season its a week closer to christmas thats the boost for all systems if you look they all got some type of boost except xbox one x

@gungho_trucker this is true if your the type to resell....i dont i like physical so 25 years from now i can come back to my games...thats not gonna happen with digital as we seen when the service goes down when end of life happens if your memory card or hdd fails your screwed cause theres no way to re download the game...i will admit thats when piracy happens for me...had to do that for a bunch of Wii games i bought on the eshop and didnt redownload in time.
