Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 18th)

Me and my son have both really gotten into Gundam recently. So much so that I'll probably be playing some Daemon x Machina and Gundam Cross Rays. He has a birthday this month and will be having a Gundam model building birthday party. Santa will also be bringing us some Gundams for Christmas.

1TB micro filled up and have archived a ton of games. If I really like a game, I try and buy both physical AND digital. Working full-time and having 2 kiddos, I just don't have the time to play as much as I want/used to. My Switch goals this year are to finish DQ11 and play from start to finish Xenoblade Chronicles. I love having a huge library of games on the go and esp love the Neo Geo title (have 55 at the moment). I def see me playing these games 20 yrs down the road and now I buy games moreso for future playthroughs and not nec right now.

Cannot stop playing Daemon x Machina. Haven't played a lot of mech games before so I can't really compare it to anything. It's probably just me, but it's my "Ace Combat 2" of the Switch. Loved that game on PS and DxM reminds me of it. Kinda miss the old Mech Assault on the XB1 now. Got a physical copy of Ghostbusters that I'll dive into. Speaking of that, might play some Abzu. Also patiently waiting for some Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD on Switch news...

Grid, Zelda and Daemon x Machina w/ the Hori Split Pro. Never played the original Link's Awakening so I'm pretty excited. Being in my mid/late 30s and having a GB and GBC I'm suprised I never tried it. Now if Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD would only show up on the eshop....

Need to get back into Octopath Traveler and finish the character paths. Also will be trying my hand at Raiden. My 6 yr old has been on a Paladins kick lately. We just keep coming back to that game. I'm all about those Overwatch/Timesplitters FPS games. I'm also impatiently awaiting the Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath release (please actually happen).

Re: Nintendo Will Reportedly Fix Joy-Con Drift For Free And Refund Customers Who Paid

I consider myself fortunante that only 1 of my 4 joycons, the blue left one that came at launch, has had this issue. I noticed it when it started scrolling though my game icons automatically. I disconnected it, re-synced it, and honestly haven't used it much since then because I keep my yellows connected and covered with a Skull and Co dockable case.

Re: Soapbox: Sorry Nintendo, Joy-Con Drift Means I Won't Buy Switch Lite At Launch

AJ81

We (my family) have a Switch with a ton of games. My son really wants the Pokemon Switch Lite. I was going to get him a 2ds xl to replace his 2ds, but now am thinking about the Lite for him because we can play a lot of coop games together with 2 systems. I would very quickly preorder and buy a Swith Lite if I knew the joycons were going to not have this issue. When I make a purchase, regardless of $ amount, I expect the product to work as advertised. If I break or damage a product then I'll pay out of my own pocket to have it fixed or replace it because the fault was mine. I do not want to buy a product, especially for my kids, thinking in the back of my mind that there's a good chance that the product will malfunction in a few months. Nintendo needs to assure me that this issue is fixed before I spend money on a Lite. If not, then I'll probably get a refurbished Switch and throw a Pokemon skin on it for my son. At least then I can replace the joycons indepedently of the whole system.

Its vaca time. One whole glorious week off so that means waterparks with the kids and videogames. I'll be playing MUA3 and leveling up my character in Dragon's Dogma. Just picked up Rogue Legacy off the eshop and may try out that new arcade racer...think its called Rise...that drops Monday. Also waiting for some FF4 or Namor MCU announcements from Saint Deiago.

Re: US Law Firm Opens "Switch Joy-Con Drift" Class Action Investigation

AJ81

As a parent of a child with the Pokemon Nintendo Switch Lite already on his Christmas list, I'm definitely worried about joycon drift on the new NS Lite. I've got 2 sets of joycons and have had drift in one of the left ones. I consider myself fortunante that only 1 out of 4 have had this issue. But I am real worried about the NS Lite having this problem. I'm worried enough about this that I'm seriously considering not getting him the Lite and I hope other parents are equally as cautious. I really, really hope Nintendo has more common sense than releasing the new version with this issue and I hope buyers don't rush to the buy the product without having a resolution to this. I can see alot of NS Lites under Christmas trees this year and I hope folks won't to have to deal with the hassle of joycons malfunctioning after regular use. We shall see...

Went ahead and picked CCB Pro Wrestling simply because Fire Pro Wrestling Returns might be my favorite game of all-time and I'm starved for a Switch Fire Pro. Got SMM2 coming from Best Buy tommorrow- gotta use that Gamer Club discount before it goes away.

Just found a New 3ds xl- Galaxy Edition at a local retail store- have been looking for a new one and really enjoy the 3d effects in games like Oot so I'll probably just be sticking with my pre-purchase of Cuphead.

Got to give a shout out to Yoku's Island Express. I know its on other platforms, but its a great little game. Warframe, Paladins, Dead Cells, Towerfall, Horizon Chase Turbo, Starlink, Armello, Octopath- so many great games.

Re: Warframe Now Has One Million Players On Nintendo Switch

Im Darkhawk7 in Warframe. Named after the Marvel Comics character. Working my way through unlocking the star chart and also got me a kubrow- Lockjaw, also named after a Marvel character. Loving WF so far. Havent touched Destiny since WF came out to the switch.

Re: Reminder: Free-To-Play Sci-Fi Shooter Warframe Is Now Available On The Switch eShop

AJ81

Just got through the tutorial stages and was really hoping for a Destiny-like game for the Switch. Paladins was awesome and I bought the $19.99 starter pack from the warframe marketplace to support the devs. I looked at the Prime Access package but $79 is alot right now with Christmas right around the corner. I go into cettain F2P games knowing I'm going to spend about as much $ as a retail game- have already done that with Paladins- and I can tell Warframe is going to prob be my go to game. It feels alot less "rushy" than Destiny in the sense that if I missed a few months in D1/2, I felt I was way behind other players who could invest more daily grind time. This feels more like you can go at your own pace. Now I just need to find a Warframe Nint Switch clan...
