We are half there already if you think about, just look at the PS4/XBOX disc, they are only for drm and nothing else. For example, i brought Rainbow Six Siege Year 2 and the only thing came with was the base game (disc) and a code (21gb to download), this is what gaming has came to. I hope Nintendo never goes this route and offers physical for a long time with the full game.

I am so happy to see SMO & Zelda: BOTW selling great in Japan. Hope Nintendo starts on their sequels asap.

Maybe sonic team are tired of making sonic games and it shows with this game, they should rest it or outsource to another company who actually wants to make a great sonic game.

This reminds me of Silicon Knights, Factor 5 and Left Field which they were all producing quality titles with Nintendo but as soon they decided to go at alone the games were turning out to be crap.

No way this is the golden era. Having to constantly install/day 1 updates/day 1 patches have ruined it for me, also some patch sizes are just insane and in same cases you'll need download the game again. Take doom for xbox one, it's 70gb on my hdd but the current patch is 60gb, seriously wtf?
Thank god for the switch, i'm back into gaming and game sizes are tiny, no installation required if you buy physical and os is speedy.

Too late just like Rime, no one will buy it at full price especially with Super Mario Odyssey coming out.

This app is DOA. The moment people find out you can't use it when the phone goes to sleep mode it's gone to be deleted quickly. A big oversight from Nintendo.

The characters look bland and they really need to stand out like in overwatch & arms. Without having the gaming icons in smash, this game might struggle.

It'll take a while for the kernel to be exploited. Look at PS4/XB1, after nearly 4 years nothing has happened.

Don't mind the ports on the switch especially if it did'nt sell well on the wii u and in return it could be green lit for future sequels.

From polygon they state it's 1080p docked, 720p undocked and both running at 60fps. Also, Switch Kick-Off lets you instantly jump into a solo or local multiplayer match. Online play is, however, much more limited than in the PC/PS4/Xbox One versions, which support full 11-on-11 matches (i.e., 22 human players). The maximum on the Switch is only four players.

I'm looking forward to Fifa 18.

Got to remember this game started development 3 years ago and the switch just came out this year, so i think we could next years COD.

Great! Can't wait to see what Splatoon 2 does to Japan. Does it matter if BOTW is a port, it's still a brand new Zelda game and most important thing is it was released on Switch's launch day.
Also, really liking Nintendo's aggressive marketing and making sure the biggest games coming out in the first year.

As long as Nintendo outsources the games, I'm fine with it. Regarding Super Mario Maker, they could bundle it with a stylus.

I remember a couple occasions people buying wii u games for their wii, that's how bad the marketing was for the wii u where as the switch it's the total opposite and i can see it passing 3ds sales.

Looks like the marketing paid off for Nintendo.

The people who complained haven't played it and just looked at it coming to a conclusion it's not a sequel without playing the actual game.

Nintendo mentioned new campaign/modes/maps/weapons which definetly means it's a sequel, at the end of the day it will sell well in Japan.

Not worried at all, once all devs start making games on the switch from the 3ds, the library will be great. Imagine the next Monster Hunter, Pokemon, Dragon Quest and so on. We don't a carbon copy library like the xbox/ps4 and also all Nintendo teams are making games for the switch.

The switch wasn't built for VR so i am not surprised.

People also forgetting both Nintendo handheld & console teams are all making games for the switch, which means a lot more new games probably after the first year release of the switch, until then 3d mario/zelda and whatever else will keep me busy, so the ports don't bother me.

What about Retros game? Also i don't mind tne ports as long they make new content as Nintendo simply cannot afford to waste 3+ years making new entries of their most popular games ans they need them within the first year of the switchs life.

At least all Nintendo teams will be pumping out all games for The Switch, so I'm not too worried.

Have to wait until NS is out before i give my final verdict on my nintendo but so far, absolutely crap! Really miss club nintendo (playing cards, soundtrack cds, digital downloads etc....)

mate, you can buy 1tb sd cards even 2 tb, and if you need more then 32gb then you go up to next size 64gb. then 128 and so on and on, ' cause ninty buys in bulk, they will get'em for very cheap.

Not surprised. They needed to change the system architect to get ports from 3rd party devs.

The main controller when joined looks like the wavebird for gamecube, one of the best controllers i've used. Really hope they bring the wii u internet browser to the switch, as i spent many hours using that on the gamepad.

I can finally take the switch to my bed without dragging the console from the lounge room (Wii U) wouldn't be the same without Off TV play. Also, the speeds of the flash card means no more installing games to the hdd like the xbox1 which i hate very much, take HALO:MCC for example, has to install 40+gb and download 20gb took me all day.

Since nintendo just have to focus on one console now, they will double the games output which has me very excited.
