Smash WWE

WWE is big business, with millions of loyal fans and typically impressive sales of pay-per-views, merchandise and, of course, video games. We're pretty confident we'll never see a Hyrule Warriors-style mashup between the franchises, however, as it doesn't take much imagination to realise that it would be a bit weird.

Yet still, that's what YouTube is for, and over the past year madagascarsan* has posted a series of videos in which Nintendo franchises are reproduced — sort of — using WWE games. The Smash Bros. series closed a month ago with its fourth entry, which took in the Shulk character announcement.

If you haven't seen these yet check them out below — in order from oldest to newest — and you may never see characters like Kirby and Rosalina the same way ever again. The last video is the most bizarre of them all, in our view.
