Might as well sell my switch if Nintendo are becoming 3rd party first they abandon the home console market and just focus on portable gaming then they start releasing games on the platform their competing against.

@TheLZdragon it also includes Tablets as well which is the main market the switch is competing against.

Hope this isn't true as there is no need to release a game on a rival platform with the switch selling well this reminds me of when Sega released games on the Nes sad times 😢

Thankfully.I have played this forover 20 years originally on the Master System so no where every little secret is in this game.

I can definitely see it happening what with it having lots of great games on the horizon like MARIO oddyssey, Splatoon 2 and erm well loads.

Releasing games on rival platforms is a clear sign of a struggling game company please Nintendo release Mario odyssey on PS4.

@WiiUPS4Gamer I think you will find it is a handheld all the hardware is in the portable device by your definition the PSP is a home console as that connects to a TV.

People moaning about the specs and comparing it to Xbox One need to realise this is a handheld console so it is very powerful. Nintendo are just putting a lot of their home console games on it. Nintendo has pulled out of the home console business unless they release a successor to the wii u who knows as this is the 3DS successor.

Makes you wonder if this is Nintendo adjusting to turning 3rd party in the near future once the switch bombs as why would you release a game on a rival gaming platform.

@ACrste81 I agree 1 2 Switch should have probably been a pack in game as it shows off the joy cons there also selling Skyrim at £59.99 which is ridiculous as it is a straight port of a game from 2011 so it should be priced as a budget title around £19.99-£24.99.

@ACrate81 more like Atari's Jaguar don't think it will be as good as the Dreamcast unfortunately. It would have been a decent handheld if it wasn't over priced but £279.99 + £59.99 for a game is ridiculous it's certainly not a home console or hybrid as the dock is just there for ease of use for connecting to tv and gaining power to increase cpu/gpu speed which could have been achieved by using a tv cable and ac adapter. Also the 3rd party support is severely lacking I think the only people that will buy this are hardcore Nintendo fans.

so buying all the fire emblem fates add ons costs more than the full game seriously.

@ KirbyTheVampire I never said this article was about the price just saying that if it's an over priced handheld it wont sell another problem is confusing consumers by calling it a hybrid.

This is powerful for a handheld especially from Nintendo as I would expect it to be only slightly more powerful than the Vita with it been a Nintendo handheld. But a cause for concern is incredibly poor advertising from Nintendo with them saying it's a hybrid which it is not they have just moved their home console games to this new handheld. Another concern is the price it needs to be low as look what happened with the 3DS when that launched. at a high price.

Hope these rumours arn't true but I suspect they are. Nintendo just simply don't learn a handheld priced to high will simply not sell which is what this is it was proven when the 3DS launched. Trying to cover over the cracks that they have dropped out of the home console business and advertising this as a hybrid is a bad move.

@MarkyVigoroth Gamecube emulation wouldn't have been required to run Gamecube games on Wii U as the Wii U is just a souped up Gamecube same as the Original Wii was hence how it played Gamecube games naitevely. The Wii U also could have played Gamecube discs games in this way but they didn't include memory card or controller ports so didn't enable it in the Wii U's operating system. It was still possible if they had released a add on box with Gamecube controller ports and memory card ports then just added a Wii U update but this didn't happen.

Looks awesome cant wait for it to launch this going to be the most powerful and expensive handheld consoles ever. It's just a shame that Nintendo has pulled out of the home console arena.

Won't miss the second screen to much but I think it's sad that Nintendo has pulled out of the Home Console game and is now only making solely handhelds it's sad that a company as big as Nintendo has bowed out.

The Wii U was a good console I just kind of wished they had hung on another year to increase the specs to get them closer to PS4 and Xbox One so then all the 3rd party games that the PS4 enjoys could have been ported over then it would have sold really well. The gamepad was a great idea if only their where more 3rd party games as the Wii U had the best first party games by a mile. I just hope Nintendo gets 3rd party developers on board for NX as it will be amazing to have Nintendo and all 3rd party devs on the same platform. Hope Nintendo can turn things around.

@Slim1999 No just saying that if a N64 Pokemon game a console released 20 years ago can look better than the 3DS version of Pokemon that that's pretty embarrassing that's why they should have at least created a new Pokemon Stadium type game on Wii U to link your 3DS with to battle your Pokemon in real Polygon 3D.

@Mega_Yarn_Poochy No I'm deadly serious the Pokemon Stadium games on N64 look more realistic if the battles looked at least that good plus added commentary would be awesome!

The graphics look terrible Pokemon Stadium looks 10x better although the N64 was a very powerful machine 3x more powerful than the original Playstation with the 3DS supposedly being on par with the Psp if not slightly better I expected better graphics than this.

Just want them to make a proper gaming console the disaster of the Wii and Wii U need pushing under the rug yes the Wii sold incredibly well but it all but killed off any major 3rd party support they had gained back with the gamecube by aiming the console at non gamers. As most gamers played the 360 or PS3 that's why when the few 3rd party developers tried to release games aimed at gamers on the platform they absolutely bombed Madworld a case in point. The original Wi was a huge dust collector for a lot of people especially the few actual gamers that bought one.

Would love to see a Pokemon game launched to link up with Sun and Moon to battle your Pokemon in 3D like in the Pokemon Stadium days as there wasn't a Pokemon game released on Wii U to link up with your 3Ds Pokemon games for some strange reason.

@ThanosReXXX I agree but as it's just an upgraded Xbox One and plays the same games it's still classed as being in the same generation. Where as the NX will be a totally different platform so classed as next gen it's stupid the way it's worked out I know but it's just the way it is.

This could be an awesome console if it has high specs as having all the great 3rd party games plus Nintendo's fantastic exclusive titles would make it the best console. So probably needs to be at least PS4 specs or above but would still be slightly embarrassing for them if it is a less powerful console than the Xbox one Scorpio as a next gen Console (NX) being less powerful than a last gen console (Xbox One Scorpio) probably won't go down too well with the gaming Community.

It also could be delayed because they saw the new PS4 specs as it would be very embarrassing to release a 9th gen console that is weaker than an eight gen (PS4 Neo) Console.

Just got my limited edition today a day early and I have to say it's well worth the price of admission the art book is absolutely beautiful plus to have all three games on one 4GB Cart is fantastic. Would go as far to say it's even worth those prices on ebay absolutely stunning.

Used to be a great site this now it's just average thanks to it becoming a disorganised mess most likely due to using the playstation life sites landscape which was a mess and obviously still is why didn't the playstation lifes site just follow this sites design before I got ruined instead of the other way around makes no sense wish someone would buy these out and get it sorted.

Got the Fire Emblem Fates limited Edition pre ordered from Nintendo store so that will keep me going for a while. So no downloads for me this week.

Sick of seeing Rumours I honestly don't believe it will be as powerful as current gen I think it will be very powerful mind you slightly above Standard PS4 but will still be lagging behing the PS4 Neo which I have finally decided I'm gong for (as I don't have a PS4 yet) instead of the NX as I have lost total confidence with Nintendo after the Wii U. May buy it down the line if it ends up in the bargain bin if it flops or if it gets 3rd party support on board and does well as unless this happens then I think it will sell even less than the Wii U

Just got Duck Tales and Resident Evil Mercenaries on sale as no point having Resi Merc physical as you can't delete your save data anyway.

I own Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies digitally but would still buy it physically to go on the shelf with my other Phoenix Wright games. As for Project Zero have a copy of that already.

Already pre-ordered the first print edition so I'm good to go only download indie games or add ons to my Wii Us 32 GB Storage anyway as most wii disc games are cheap enough. Wouldn't buy an external hard drive as I don't want something like that hanging out my console prefer to have it built in the system.

@grumblevolcano I agree it's stupid that they didn't set a 1 person limit especially when they knew there would be such a big demand.

It's an absolute disgrace couldn't get it on Game as I didn't see it in time was only by chance that I was on the nintendo store and even then only could get the one with the Amibo bundle. Its unfair on the other people is it selling out purely due to demand or simply nintendo not producing enough?.

What a stroke of luck just happened to be on the Nintendo store about 15 minutes ago and thought might as well see if it's on and it was. All stock had sold out though unfortunately except for the one with the Amibo bundle not interested in the amibos but as I've been after this since it was announced decided to pay the extra as it's still cheaper than what people have it on ebay for. Hopefully be able to recoup some of the difference by selling the unwanted amibos.

Why would they have wanted to keep the wii remote would have been awful playing Cod or Im sure the plan at the start would of been to bring major 3rd party games to the Wii U like Gta V etc which wouldnt be controllable using a wii mote.

Final Fantasy Explorers is good but a bit repetitive seems to be getting hard to find here in the U.K though.

It's a total rip off even if it was 60 fps anyway as the games 2 generations old as it was mainly designed for the gamecube. So even with revamped visuals it should be released at a budget price of around £19.99 but to release it at only 30fps aswell just adds insult to injury. Hell even in the case of windwaker HD that still hasn't even reduced in price yet it is still a fully priced retail game even though it's been out for 3 years now. If Sony can release a Trilogy of games at 1080p and at 60fps why cant Nintendo do it for just one.

Such a lazy port was seriously considering getting this but to only run the game at 30fps is just lazy the Wii U could easily run it at 60 was also planning to buy zelda wind waker HD but as someone mentioned thats 30fps no thank you. Or maybe I'm wrong and the processor is too weak to deal with the higher res textures as the processor is slower than the 360s which is an embarrasment in it's self.

Depending on how the NX goes this could actually happen if the NX struggles out the gate and Nintendo are unable to get third party support then we could have Nintendo Games on Xbox one and PS4. If Nintendo pulls out of the console game by then which at the moment there's a good chance it could happen. We will know all this by 2018 as the NX should be launching around xmas time next year.

Xenoblade Chronicles X physical for me. Cant believe their charging £49.99 to download it when it's only £39.99 in Game.

@faint I know but every console I have seen sell on Ebay with built in digital games like 100s of VC games on the original Wii for example it still seems to sell as if it were a stand alone console with no games only physical games seem to up the price. Seems to be the same with Xbox and Playstation also.

@faint my point is that if you downloaded 50 download games from the eshop and sold your wii u console you would only get the value of a used wii u console as they are not physical but digital would'nt add any value to your console if you sold it. So why should those two games included with the wii u that are pre installed add to its value they would only be a good deal if they were physical discs in my book.

Surprised it sold as well as that especially with it being a bit overpriced. The games should technically be free and not add to the price as they come pre installed and are not a physical copy. Also not to mention it only has one more year as the main home console for Nintendo as it's obvious the NX is to be released around this time next year for xmas. As the new Zelda has obviously been delayed to be a dual launch game on Wii U and NX so the new console has a big launch game.

I don't think taking twice as long as the Dreamcast to ship more units is anything to brag about. If Sega had more money and the Dreamcast continued it would have sold at least 18 million units which is more than the Wii U will ever sell. Still a decent console though just cant wait for Nintendos final console codenamed NX.

Totally disrespectful to cut content from the west/eu. Fair enough if it was removed from the Japanese version but to only remove it from certain parts of the world is out of order it's a 18 rated game so there's no need to censor it. It's bad enough that Americans have to download it fortunately I'm from the u.k. so I preorder a physical copy. I will be trying the demo first then if I don't like it will just keep the game sealed for collectible purposes.

Sick of people celebrating the Nes 30th birthday when it's 32 years old not 30. It was released in 1983 under the name Famicom it was still the same console with a different name.
