Already pre-ordered the first print edition so I'm good to go only download indie games or add ons to my Wii Us 32 GB Storage anyway as most wii disc games are cheap enough. Wouldn't buy an external hard drive as I don't want something like that hanging out my console prefer to have it built in the system.

@grumblevolcano I agree it's stupid that they didn't set a 1 person limit especially when they knew there would be such a big demand.

It's an absolute disgrace couldn't get it on Game as I didn't see it in time was only by chance that I was on the nintendo store and even then only could get the one with the Amibo bundle. Its unfair on the other people is it selling out purely due to demand or simply nintendo not producing enough?.

What a stroke of luck just happened to be on the Nintendo store about 15 minutes ago and thought might as well see if it's on and it was. All stock had sold out though unfortunately except for the one with the Amibo bundle not interested in the amibos but as I've been after this since it was announced decided to pay the extra as it's still cheaper than what people have it on ebay for. Hopefully be able to recoup some of the difference by selling the unwanted amibos.

Why would they have wanted to keep the wii remote would have been awful playing Cod or Im sure the plan at the start would of been to bring major 3rd party games to the Wii U like Gta V etc which wouldnt be controllable using a wii mote.

Final Fantasy Explorers is good but a bit repetitive seems to be getting hard to find here in the U.K though.

It's a total rip off even if it was 60 fps anyway as the games 2 generations old as it was mainly designed for the gamecube. So even with revamped visuals it should be released at a budget price of around £19.99 but to release it at only 30fps aswell just adds insult to injury. Hell even in the case of windwaker HD that still hasn't even reduced in price yet it is still a fully priced retail game even though it's been out for 3 years now. If Sony can release a Trilogy of games at 1080p and at 60fps why cant Nintendo do it for just one.

Such a lazy port was seriously considering getting this but to only run the game at 30fps is just lazy the Wii U could easily run it at 60 was also planning to buy zelda wind waker HD but as someone mentioned thats 30fps no thank you. Or maybe I'm wrong and the processor is too weak to deal with the higher res textures as the processor is slower than the 360s which is an embarrasment in it's self.

Depending on how the NX goes this could actually happen if the NX struggles out the gate and Nintendo are unable to get third party support then we could have Nintendo Games on Xbox one and PS4. If Nintendo pulls out of the console game by then which at the moment there's a good chance it could happen. We will know all this by 2018 as the NX should be launching around xmas time next year.

Xenoblade Chronicles X physical for me. Cant believe their charging £49.99 to download it when it's only £39.99 in Game.

@faint I know but every console I have seen sell on Ebay with built in digital games like 100s of VC games on the original Wii for example it still seems to sell as if it were a stand alone console with no games only physical games seem to up the price. Seems to be the same with Xbox and Playstation also.

@faint my point is that if you downloaded 50 download games from the eshop and sold your wii u console you would only get the value of a used wii u console as they are not physical but digital would'nt add any value to your console if you sold it. So why should those two games included with the wii u that are pre installed add to its value they would only be a good deal if they were physical discs in my book.

Surprised it sold as well as that especially with it being a bit overpriced. The games should technically be free and not add to the price as they come pre installed and are not a physical copy. Also not to mention it only has one more year as the main home console for Nintendo as it's obvious the NX is to be released around this time next year for xmas. As the new Zelda has obviously been delayed to be a dual launch game on Wii U and NX so the new console has a big launch game.

I don't think taking twice as long as the Dreamcast to ship more units is anything to brag about. If Sega had more money and the Dreamcast continued it would have sold at least 18 million units which is more than the Wii U will ever sell. Still a decent console though just cant wait for Nintendos final console codenamed NX.

Totally disrespectful to cut content from the west/eu. Fair enough if it was removed from the Japanese version but to only remove it from certain parts of the world is out of order it's a 18 rated game so there's no need to censor it. It's bad enough that Americans have to download it fortunately I'm from the u.k. so I preorder a physical copy. I will be trying the demo first then if I don't like it will just keep the game sealed for collectible purposes.

Sick of people celebrating the Nes 30th birthday when it's 32 years old not 30. It was released in 1983 under the name Famicom it was still the same console with a different name.

It is a shame that a once Nintendo exclusive isn't been ported to Wii U but obviously theres no chance they could get the game down to 3GB in size it would take a lot of compression.

The Nx needs to be on par with ps4 and Xbox one graphically to get 3rd party support as they obviously consider it too much work to have to reprogram their games to suit a lower specced machine like is happening with the Wii U. I just hope this happens. Nintendo didn't have a problem keeping up with other home consoles graphically before the Wii so they can do it. If they try to pull off something too gimmicky without the horse power to back it up 3rd party's still aren't going to port their games over then Nintendo will be in big trouble and that will obviously spell the end for them as a home console manufacturer. There is a lot riding on the Nx if they don't get it right it will be their final console just hope they turn things around.

@DiscoGentleman specs do matter in this case as 3rd party developers aren't porting their games over to Wii U because of its low specs then people aren't buying the systen so specs do play a part so I'm afraid your the one who is misinformed. Obviously the quality of games play a huge part too but with no 3rd party games the console will fall flat on its face.

@DiscoGentleman Yeah but the dreamcast would have been a success if they hadn't tried to cut corners by not using Dvds as most people who bought the ps2 at launch only bought it because it had Dvd playback as dvd players at the time were expensive. What I mean is Nintendo need to offer something different as just releasing a console on par with ps4 or xbox one now Is pointless as most people will already have one of those consoles so they wouldn't bother with nintendos offering they have to offer something different unique/innovative but with specs on par with ps4.

@Fragrance True but if Nintendo makes a console on par spec wise with ps4 and Xbox one and normal pad who is going to buy it when they already have either a ps4 or xbox one. 3rd party developers won't get on board straight away as they will want to see how it sells,first which will probably make it sell even less than the WiI U. So Nintendo simply has to offer something different with obviously higher specs.

Didn't expect this to come to wii u on a console that has the same specs as last gen it just wasn't gonna happen. Hopefully Nintendo can offer something different with their next console over the competition like Sega did with the dreamcast because if it's just the same as ps4 and Xbox one its bye bye Nintendo.

Will be buying Mario Kart add on this week and the kirbys discounts for wii u and 3ds. As if I didn't realise you could pay for both mario kart dlc as I bouget the first one months ago but when I saw the price for both I assumed you had to wait till the second one was released, although I could have sworn I tried clicking it and it was greyed out or summit.

@Starwolf_UK fair enough you can take inflation into account but you also have to consider that the n64 games are now several years older than they were in 2006. The only other excuse for the increase in price they could have is the fact they have rumble support but 9 quid for a 15 year old game is still too steep. Once the excitement of n64 games being announced kicks in people will realise that they are a bit over priced. I think £5.99 - £6.99 would have been more reasonable.

Great that ds games have come to the wii u vc but N64 games £8.99 compared to £7.00 on wii vc hmm seems a bit steep to me, don't understand why they aren't the same price, yes you have the advantage of being able to play them on the game pad but snes and nes games were the same price as the wii vc so that's no excuse. So you might aswell turn your wii u into wii mode to download the games cheaper minus being able to play on the game pad. On the plus side Donkey Kong 64 got released and it will be great to see what ds games come out.

Bought my wii U at Xmas and looks like it wasn't a very good purchase as buy the looks of it the only big game for Wii u is xenoblade chronicles x. Let's hope this nintendo direct has some good news but I suspect the wii u will slowly be killed off over the next 12 months.

Can't believe this game only got a 7 its easily an equal to Super Mario Bros. Should have been given a 9.

One of the best games of the 8 bit era and only an 8 hmm should easily have got a 9. Like someone else said it probably would get a 9 if it where on a nintendo console people reviewing the games base more on nostalgia I suppose.

Would be awesome as it is the only street fighter 2 that I live unfortunately street fighter 4 Was poor it had less modes than the mega drive/snes no adventure mode or anything was added very disappointing was the exact same as megadrive street fighter 2 just with more characters better graphics but criminally less game modes which killed it. There Was only The Sun newspaper that gave an honest review saying nothing had changed since the Snes days

Will probably just be downloading mutant muddy in the sales. Was gonna look at getting mario v Donkey Kong but not at that price the 2 for 1 offer is pointless for me as would probably the play it on my 3ds as haven't touched my wii u for a while. They should have just gave one copy for a more reasonable price.

Hmm actually the 3ds version is the slightly better version as because of the higher resolution of HD tvs the game looks all pixilated as the game wasn't designed for the Wii u but 3ds only which looks a lot smoother. It's a bit like playing a retro game on Hd tv where you can see the pixels. So for me I will be getting the 3ds version. But as for mighty switch force 1 the wii u version is better as they actually updated the visuals to HD so it looks even better than the 3ds version. The reason the wii u gets a higher score here is because it's a different person reviewing just let like when you sometimes get different review scores on the same game from different review companies.

I don't understand why people download full 3ds cart games as if you eventually wanted to sell them you can't. It seems to add very little value if any if you sold your 3ds console with the games downloaded on there. I only ever download the download only games as that's the only way to get them and vc games if I don't own the console etc. The only advantage I can see in downloading a full 3ds game is because it's convenient.

Be good to see it released soon as the first one was awesome.
