Splatoon 3 will arrive on the Switch this September, and ahead of release, Nintendo has been building up excitement by sharing new information and footage of the game.
Today is a little different though, with the reveal of a new in-game music track - "Sea Me Now" by the rock outfit, Front Roe (the song and title are obviously a play on words). It seems Nintendo's Japanese YouTube channel also shared this song earlier in the week. This sneak peek lasts for just over a minute. Enjoy!
The melodious, punkish sound of rock outfit Front Roe has been swimming up the charts in Splatsville lately. Here’s a sneak peek at one of their songs “Sea Me Now” that’ll appear in #Splatoon3!
This isn't the first time Nintendo has shared a new song from Splatoon 3. It previously did something similar in September last year. What do you think of this latest track? Looking forward to Splatoon 3? Leave a comment down below.

I really like the guitar in all of these songs. Absolutely fantastic
That's pretty good, I like it!
3 of the members of of Front Roe are former members of Squid Squad! I like the song too, I wish the video didn't end so soon.
Heard it earlier, it's good to hear this game having a great soundtrack just like the previous games! That's one thing Splatoon has generally done incredibly well if nothing else.
That gets a woomy ngyes from me, although I'm sure if anything is gonna live up to Metalopod
This is absolutely the kind of song that'll grow on me as I play the game. That's basically how any Squid Squad-esque song is to me when I hear it for the first time though.
Speaking of which, it's so cool that the rest of the Squid Squad are back in a new band. We saw one of them leave to form a new duo with an Octoling but it's great to see them not forget the rest as well. I really hope they have more songs in 3 because they have a very distinct vocal sound compared to other Splatoon music groups.
I dig those squidcore tunes😄🎶
The music has been so consistently cool in this series.
Splatoon music never ceases to amaze me. I have high hopes that Splatoon 3 gets the musical recognition it deserves
This is epic. Not nearly as good as Fly Octo Fly (yes i know, completely different songs), but good.
Front row tickets for Front Roe please
Really interested to see the new idols, tbh.
Also, that music is awesome. Can't wait for Splatoon 3!
My next 1000+ hour game. Stoked!

I’m not too fond of this one, but I really love the other two multiplayer songs we have heard so far, so I don’t mind.
I know Splatoon 2 had a rhythm minigame but I'd love an actual full-blown rhythm game. Something like Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA or Persona Dancing. They could use the same models they're already using for live performances.
This song gives me TWEWY vibes
So much hype.
Nintendo's "Mascot first" approach to this franchise continues to deliver. We get a rich game world with tons of lore leading to musical styles that follow the in game plot, and they've managed to push Splatoon into the gaming consciousness at just an unbelievable level.
This game is amazing, and easily one of my favourites and I love it to death, but without Calle and Marie doing gigs in malls 2 years before the first game was even released, without the live concerts, without the icons that build a fandom, I don't know that Splatoon 2 is a game that screams "top 100 of all time".
But, and I'm going to say largely because of what's AROUND the game, not just the game itself, a TV station in Japan asked 50,000 people to rank the best games of all time ... and Splatoon 2 was 5th. Sure, not the biggest sample and the TV watching demographic is .... somewhat atypical, but still ... huge achievement.

@HeadPirate Yeah it's really interesting to see a relatively new IP from Nintendo fly so high so quickly, especially since it started on a failed console.
What is it, a consequence of Switch hype? Incredibly coherent realized world? The fact that it's multiplayer?
Maybe a little of everything, but I'm glad I gave Splatoon 2 a chance a few years ago. I'm ready to see how many people get on board after the success of the last one.
@HeadPirate Splatoon hits on a whole level higher when we take the world lore and culture that Nogami and his team have painted to heart, so to speak, and really run with the idea of playing in a post-apocalyptic world where the sea life overtook the land and are now serving each other power drinks, shopping for the latest clothes and music, and splatting each other for sport. The solid traversal mechanics and squad multiplayer gameplay is attractive, for sure. But dive deeper than that and players will discover what sets the world of Splatoon apart from all the soulless cookie cutter military/sci-fi/World War era FPS games is just life. A game world teeming with life, culture, and its own history, that even dared to break into the real world and become something really special.
The Splatoon music is so weird and unique. It really suits the gameplay. Love it!
This is very squidcore.
@octokid I'm biased towards Seaskape from Splatoon 1. That's a banger! 🕺
The music that plays during Turf War battles is fine, but I'm more interested to hear the music that plays in the story mode as well as the Splatfest music. Basically, I want to hear whoever the new pop stars for this game are. I hope the final boss will have a banging new song and not another remix of Kalamari Inkantation.
Splatoon has the worst music.
Seems I'm in the minority based on these comments though.
@TexanBanjo
The reason I called out the TV demographic is Spaltoon is basically Japan's only esport and events are often televised. I think one factor is that people who have never played this game still know what it is and enjoy it. The last open before COVID had 4400 teams in the qualifier, and easily 2/3 of them were not serious players. Seeing a mom and her 3 kids just get obliterated by a pro team on stage while laughing and having the time of their lives might be one of the most purely joyful things I have ever seen.
I'm confused that so many people like splatoon. To me the character design, level designs and the music is everything I don't like. Just seeing inkling in smash mage me cringe lol. But great that it can be of joy for you guys
I love it! I just purchased Splattune 2 from Japan, and it is so good! A big part of the this game for me is the music.
Hmm... I have the CD soundtracks to Splatoon 2, which is great, and the Octo Expansion, which is kind of a mixed bag. This new song is a little too much grating guitars and high pitched vocals. Of course there were always a few songs like that mixed into the previous games, so no reason to panic. But I can't honestly say I like this track.
