There's 3 games I would like to see get new dlc. Arms, Arms is a really fun and surprisingly strategic fighter with nice character variety. I feel like once all the characters were released the hype just died off. It would be cool to add like 5 more characters bringing the roster to 20 and maybe a new mode or 2.
Next I would like to see Pokken get more characters. There's so many different Pokemon you can add to Pokken. I wished it took an approach similar to dbz fighters just constantly adding new Pokemon. Fans would certainly pay for it. With over 900 Pokemon it's hard to be satisfied with just 20 something in the game when they can do so much more. 6 v 6 battle mode would be cool too.
Lastly I would like to see Pokemon Let's Go get a huge expansion. Instead of making let's go Johto they could just make a huge Johto expansion pack. Making it possible to get to the region through the St. Anne basically being the opposite of Gold & Silver. Instead of going back to Kanto we can go forward to Johto. And of course adding the entire Johto dex as well. Add breeding in the game as well. I feel like if they did this and made it an add on to the switch online expansion service it would certainly convince a lot to jump on board.
I do really like the first game but in handheld the graphics are so blurred and muddy and I'm not even talking about when the game is in motion. Looks great docked but I play my Switch handheld like 95% so if the sequel isn't cleaned up in the handheld department imma have to give it a pass unfortunately.
I think ORAS may be my favorite with platinum being a close 2nd. Gen 2 in general I feel will always be the best in the series just for having 2 series alone. I really loved ORAS because of the fact they added new megas. I didn't expect new Pokemon in a remake and it was cool of them to add so many other gen 6 elements to the game. And I really enjoy the mechanic where you could sneak up on Pokemon. And I only put platinum ahead of heart gold and soul silver because I played it way more. My interest in Pokemon during the DS era kinda cooled off. I played all the games (expect black and white 2) but I only played through them once where I played the first 3 gens multiple times. So I vaguely remember certain aspects of gen 4 & 5
Don't write these games off Qubic has a few diamonds in the rough. Nothing amazing but good fun especially at these prices. Nice to see games under $1.99. Looks like a new loophole for small developers can try to use to their advantage.
I own over 300 indie games on my switch and yet don't have most of this list. I usually wait on for something on my wishlist to have a steep price drop. I have Among Us but have yet to play it on Switch, haven't played a Short Hike yet. I do plan on grabbing Super Crush K.O, Vitamin Connection, Lonely Mountains Downhill, and In Other Waters
If Switch really going to go full steam ahead with cloud gaming it really needs to make a service to accommodate it because not many will be dishing out $40. This would defintely add a lot of quality to the switch online service perhaps making a separate premium price from the current $20 1 year subscription. Making a premium that includes cloud games I think for $40 a year would be reasonable and a great way to compete with the other consoles considering they charge more.
Wish more wiiware games made it on the list like the Lost Wind and the Art Style series. Started following this site back when it was wiiware world and loved that they use to only cover the indies. I hope these gems release on the switch eshop someday
Sonic colors & sonic generations are both amazing sonic games and I would love to see them get ported to the switch. While sonic forces isn't as good as those 2 I definitely think it's an underrated entry
Lethal League is so good and criminally underrated, it's ashame that game is not talked about more. That game already carried similar vibes to Jet Set despite the fact it's a completely different genre. I have full confidence Team Reptile will nail this.
I own Pokken on WiiU and switch and it's defintely a fun fighter. Haven't played in a good while going to try and get a couple buddies to download the trial and play. Highly reccomended game! I just wish Nintendo continued to support it with content. It only got 2 dlc characters. I hope this is a way of putting pokken in the limelight and support the game some more. I feel like this could maybe be leading to a new pokemon in Smash like when Arms came out of nowhere with the free trail
Future grind is actually a really good game. I do think the original price point was kinda high and think that they could've faired much better around $10. I brought the game in an eshop sale awhile back for only $2 and it's 1 of the best eshop deals I've ever caught. Simple but solid story and the gameplay does get difficult but nothing too crazy. You're goal is to pretty much grind on the rails, get to the end of the stage and combo your way to a high score. More twists to the gameplay are thrown in as you get different types of vehicles, you may have to land with the right color, you might have a vehicle with 1 wheel and a couple others. A lot of the visuals reminds me of tron especially the night stages. For $1.49 is more than worth it this is definitely a hidden gem.
I brought ultra moon and didn't even finish the first island because it was basically the same game. Yes there was some new decent looking content but I would have to invest my time into playing stuff I already played just to get to it. I love the idea of the expansion because it is essentially the same as getting a 3rd version but I don't have to retread old ground and I have all my pokemon already. If they did do a 3rd version on switch I'm not sure what the price point would be but just going from history every 3rd release were full price for their respective consoles ($29.99 for all gameboy entries and $39.99 for a DS/3DS entries) So if releasing an expansion with new areas, pokemon, tutors, and story content that's half the price of a full release and comes out sooner sounds more than worth it.
I would actually like to see some wii games ported over to the switch. A Mario galaxy hd collection would be awesome! And I would love to see games like sonic colors, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, excitebots, kirby's epic yarn, metriod other m, metriod prime trilogy, sin & punishment.
I have One strike, rekt, mana spark and robonaunts. These games are solid nothing spectacular but solid fun nonetheless. I've been wanting to get #racedierun, koloro, and wrecking ball so I'm so glad I'll get to grab them for free. I'll probably delete the ones I don't want.
I would love to see let's go modded just to add evolutions of the kanto pokemon ( Crobat, scizors, the rest of the eeveelutions etc) it be even cool to add the kanto galarian pokemon too (farfetchd, weezing, ponyta & rapidash, meowth, and mr.mine) that would be a great idea for dlc a kanto expansion pack.
I personally loved Other M. I feel like this game was 1 of the first to get review bombed. The action was so fast paced and I loved the switch from 2d to 3d. I would love to see it rereleased on switch prehaps as a eshop exclusive and maybe with out the pointer controls.
@JR150 Yes power rangers battle for the grid is surprising good. The game is continuing to be supported with new modes, dlc (free & paid) and supports crossplay. The story mode is pretty good as well. If you were ever a fan of the power rangers franchise it's an easy buy. If power rangers was never your cup of tea the game it's at least worth looking into because the mechanics are so solid. A very underrated fighter indeed.
I've certainly taken advantage of when games like these cost super cheap. I grabbed Burnstar a while back when it was only $1 from it's original $20 price and is way better the Bomberman R ever was. Also future grind for $2 from $20 was so much fun and actually had a bit of story to it. Grid mania was like 9¢ and had me more engaged than I've had any business being. Grab lab 49¢, defunct for 79¢, space war arena for $1 and some change and I'm sure I have a few others. Some of these games were diamonds in the rough and just needed a spotlight and some of these were just nice little distractions in between larger games. I always look forward to see what could possibly be dirt cheap in each sale and see if it's to my liking.
I was shocked when they revealed Smash ultimate because I honestly felt Smash 4 did so much I couldn't possibly see them expanding it. I truly felt they could've just ported smash 4 added some new characters and no one would've complained. Nintendo went above and beyond for Ultimate so I couldn't possibly be upset if a future release couldn't stack up to this. If possible I'd say just continue to port ultimate if it allows the current roster to remain without legal issues. I also would personally love a smash 64 style remake. Use 64 bit graphics and have a roster of maybe around 30 or 40 and release it as a digital download for around $20 to $30. I think a smaller scale game could be a nice placeholder until a larger release comes out.
I've never played undertale, notice it was on sale and with all the Sans hype in smash it really peaked my interested. Haven't brought it yet but I downloaded deltarune for free and I'm enjoying it so far. Also going to continue playing the gardens between & transistor. Also recently brought mana spark & xenon racer so going to play a bit of those 2 as well
I brought pokken on both wiiU & switch. While the 5 new characters & 3 v 3 battles were a nice edition, the switch version could've added a bit more. Great game, I was expecting more DLC after blastoise & aegslash.
Thought I was the only 1. The game was just ok but it didn't keep my attention long. I tried out other seasons like the battle season where using weapons made things a bit more interesting. And the elite mode uses hover cars. If the hovers cars had better handling it may have made the game better for me.
Just got gris last night play a bit of it that game is just beautiful. Been trying to complete the bonus stages in mutant mudds. Also playing Pool panic, grip, and snowboarding the next phrase. Smash is always a given. I have a group chat with a bunch of friends and we just throw a room up. Also may check the eshop for more sales I'm willing to hear any recommendations.
I just finished a handful of indies over the past few weeks: pan pan, membrane, future grind, and the next penelope. Was thinking of buying grip while it's on sale. I always make room for some smash and still have a lot of indies in the backlog.
@Stocksy Just make a U.S eshop account. I have a U.S, UK, and japan account. I feel like I have benefited from having all 3. I got penguin wars and puyo puyo esports from the japan store, I still don't believe that either of those games has released in the U.S yet. And I was able to register all of my games on my U.K account to get gold coins that I could no longer get on my U.S account because the offer had expired
@Der I recently purchased football heroes on the eshop I think it's still on sale. But I'm definitely having fun with it. It has a season mode, online, and a decent amount of customization options. It's plays like a combination of tecmo bowl and blitz. The biggest issue I think some will have is that the games are short. It's only 2 quarters that last 2 minutes and 15 seconds each. I personally don't mind the quick pacing. It made for some epic fast pace games with many close moments.
@BornInNorway81 Not @ all lol they were all solid games. Nothing amazing or ground breaking. One strike was the best of the bunch it's really intense and hilarious with the right crowd. Robonauts was a fun co-op me and a buddy played straight through it, I wish it was longer. And astro bears is great in short bursts it's a nice little party game. I'm not saying any of these are must have game of the year experiences all I can say is look up reviews and gameplay and see if it's the kind of game you see yourself having fun with. I think for the price it wouldn't hurt.
I literally downloaded all of my wii shop games onto an sd card on my wii U last night. Wiiware was my first taste of indie gaming and I've never turned back. I discovered this site back when it was wiiware world to specically keep up with the indie scene on nintendo. Some of my personal faves are gyro starr, groovin blocks, bit trp series, lost winds 1 & 2, world of goo art style orbient. I would absolutely love sequels to these games or at least more of these get rereleased on switch
I have only 5 physical switch games at moment (blazeblue cross tag, pokken tournament dx, Mario kart 8 deluxe, arms, and Bomberman) and I have over 50 something eShop games and that doesn't include the free to play games. I find myself struggling on a weekly basis not to buy something that goes on sale. While the eShop does have its fair share of shovelware it also has a large library of critically acclaimed Indies and hidden gems. It's up to you to figure out what type of game you want and to do your own research on them. The eShop has ways to filter your search results and the eShop has a top 30 and a feature page. While the eShop could probably find more ways to be better I think it's overall a great service.
In the next update load times will be improved and the character unlock system will be based on leveling up the main character to receive the variants. And all stages will be unlocked as well.
@VR32F1END once you unlock another stage you'll be able to choose it. I had a similar issue when I unlocked a character and I wasn't able to go down to choose him. And not all the clones are 100% reskins. Both variations of Chief feathers have different moves and combos. And 1 is significantly faster. There are some minor differences with some of the other clones as well. I found the easiest way to unlock all the stages is by either playing team battles or playing the CPU 1 on 3 and just put the CPU on lower levels. Or if you have 4 joy con just pick the same character 4 times and you k.o all of them. Also there's a glitch when you claim your prize if you go home on your switch and close the game you can reclaim the same prize over and over. So you can basically rack up on gems and money
Brawlout is definitely a great game that deserve the sales. I feel smash fans should be more willing to give it a chance. The core mechanics are there. But it's definitely a more frantic fast paced game. While the roster may seem generic at first glance, each of them have their own charm and play style that can be appreciated and the few indies characters adds a bit of star power to the overall roster. The unlocking system is irritating but there's currently a glitch around that so I have all of the clone characters and skins. Some of the clones are awesome while others are unfortunately just the same character with a different look. The developers has mentioned on their twitter and reddit that they will be adding more original and indie characters, balance patches, as well as other new content and game modes. Their also taking fan suggestions. While I'm looking forward to the next smash, brawlout definitely have all the potential to be a great alternative and not just a place holder.
Definitely looking forward to playing Brawlout. I do feel bad for games like this because they get classified as clones of something greater opposed to just being defined by the play style. 2d fighters aren't classified as street fighter clones. And while smash in theory may be easier to learn with the simple button layout it's most certainly more difficult in the sense of jumping into the action. No one can just jump into smash and button mash their way to victory, those that try usually run off the stage. The concept of returning to the stage is difficult for many especially when using characters with difficult recoveries like a mess. I always suggest beginners start with someone like Kirby. I do hope some more established indie characters are added over time I think it can definitely add more star power and longevity to the game.
I have this on wiiU and played and put in a good amount of time into it. Never finished though but this is a fantastic game. I wish there was some sorta discount for already owning this game on wiiU. I would be more convinced to double dip.
I actually have the Japanese version. It's a great game! A good portion is actually in English so it isn't too difficult to navigate through the menus. The multi-player is really fun and chaotic.
I definitely can't wait for this to come out. I've had so much fun playing the demo, I've had the chance to play it with 5 other friends and they all love it. 1 friend always ask me hey" did that running game come out yet?" WiiU is definitely the party animal system. I current play smash bros, sports ball, and the runbow demo with a group of friends and they never disappoint. Just recently grabbed rayman legends from the ubisoft sale in the eshop also looking to add splatoon and mk8 to my list of multiplayer games to get. But the indies has definitely been my focal point with my wiiU with so many fresh experiences and some that feel like retro throwbacks and there much easier on the pockets while I wait for full priced retail games to drop in price.
I for one love my wiiU, despite the absence of major 3rd party support. The wiiU as have been mentioned was made to be unique but mostly just got ports of games that already had bargain prices elsewhere And were being sold at a premium price. If we were going to get ports at least bring us new games that's coming out the same time as everything else then people could actually have the wiiU as an option as to what system they would buy the game for. The indies have really stepped up and been the 3rd party support for wiiU. We gotten multiplatform indie releases, we got games being ported from studios like curve studios and we got awesome exclusives that's here and on the way that takes advantage of the wiiU abilities like affordable space adventures & runbow and hopefully they get the support they deserve. I just wish the small amount of major 3rd parties we have step it up, capcom could make a new tatsunoko vs capcom and also port over marvel vs capcom 3. Sega need to make a really great sonic exclusive like sonic colors or generations. Bandai needs to make pokken on wiiU. All we need is just a fell triple A 3rd party exclusives to help fill in the gap.
I Definitely think there's a place for premium indie titles on the eshop. I think nintendo should make a premium indie section for games $15 and up so they can stand apart and not get lost in the shuffle. I do also think some sort of loyalty program would be great
I wish the wii didn't die off the way it did. With the large install base games developed on the wii in its later years could really help fill the gap for the wiiU
I would love the idea of constant DLC opposed to having a sequel. Thats basically what Project M has done with smash bros brawl and has really extended the life cycle of the game with new content that makes it feels fresh again. I definitely think Nintendo should go that route, it easier to give a car a new coat of paint than to build 1 from scratch.
This was already a day1 purchase for me, but man did they pullout all the stops. This is definitely shaping up to be 1 of the biggest wiiU games of the year.
I can definitely understand why people want to see n64 and Ds virtual console on 3ds, but the 3ds is already backwards compatible with ds games so I don't see that as being necessary. I think GameCube vc will be revealed at E3 the wiiU is now capable of playing every past Nintendo home console games except gamecube and especially with having a GameCube adapter it only make sense for GameCube games to come sooner then later.
I already have olliolli on ps3 but strongly considering getting it again I think the game is better suited for the gamepad & 3ds. And I don't have a vita so cant take advantage of crossplay. I highly recommend this game. Also tengami been on my wishlist for sometime now. They forgot to mention the wayforward sales this week too. Probably get both might switch force games on wiiU. Imma hold of on mario vs donkey Kong for a bit I thought the release price was $10
I got this on sale for my ps3 for only $3 and I may still get this day1. This game is awesome and I would not only love to be able to play this on the gamepad and on the go on my 3ds, but simply just to support curve studios for porting so many awesome games on the eshop.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 10th)
I just finished a handful of indies over the past few weeks: pan pan, membrane, future grind, and the next penelope. Was thinking of buying grip while it's on sale. I always make room for some smash and still have a lot of indies in the backlog.
Re: Review: R.B.I. Baseball 19 - An Improved Showing, But Still Sadly Lacking In So Many Areas
Re: Review: R.B.I. Baseball 19 - An Improved Showing, But Still Sadly Lacking In So Many Areas
Re: QubicGames Announces Crazy 90% Discount For Escape Doodland, More Titles To Follow Suit
Re: QubicGames Announces Crazy 90% Discount For Escape Doodland, More Titles To Follow Suit
I have one strike, astro bears, and robonauts and have really enjoyed them all. Got them all for extremely cheap and all are solid multilayer games.
Re: So Long Wii Shop Channel, And Thanks For All The Games
I literally downloaded all of my wii shop games onto an sd card on my wii U last night. Wiiware was my first taste of indie gaming and I've never turned back. I discovered this site back when it was wiiware world to specically keep up with the indie scene on nintendo. Some of my personal faves are gyro starr, groovin blocks, bit trp series, lost winds 1 & 2, world of goo art style orbient. I would absolutely love sequels to these games or at least more of these get rereleased on switch
Re: Nintendo Confirms That There Are Now More Than 1,300 Games Available On Switch
Re: Yooka-Laylee Is Ready For Battle In The New Brawlout Trailer
In the next update load times will be improved and the character unlock system will be based on leveling up the main character to receive the variants. And all stages will be unlocked as well.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 18th)
Been playing co-op in both aegis defenders & bleed 2. Solo I've been focusing on Fe, Slime San, and chameleon run
Re: Brawlout Has Passed 50k Sales on the Switch
Re: Brawlout Has Passed 50k Sales on the Switch
Re: Review: Brawlout (Switch eShop)
Re: Telsagrad Will Bring a Spark to the Switch eShop in December
I have this on wiiU and played and put in a good amount of time into it. Never finished though but this is a fantastic game. I wish there was some sorta discount for already owning this game on wiiU. I would be more convinced to double dip.
Re: Penguin Wars Headed To Switch Next Year
I actually have the Japanese version. It's a great game! A good portion is actually in English so it isn't too difficult to navigate through the menus. The multi-player is really fun and chaotic.
Re: Interview: 13AM Games on Getting Up to Speed With Runbow
Re: Talking Point: Wii U Gamers Have Been Treated Poorly By The Third-Party Retail Scene, But The System Still Brings Joy
Re: Ronimo Games Explains Pricing for Swords & Soldiers II
I Definitely think there's a place for premium indie titles on the eshop. I think nintendo should make a premium indie section for games $15 and up so they can stand apart and not get lost in the shuffle. I do also think some sort of loyalty program would be great
Re: Just When You Thought the Humble Wii Was Dead, Here Comes PSA World Tour Squash
I wish the wii didn't die off the way it did. With the large install base games developed on the wii in its later years could really help fill the gap for the wiiU
Re: Talking Point: Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. DLC Can Evolve the Concept of Nintendo 'Evergreen' Releases
Re: Video: Shovel Knight, Scram Kitty, CommanderVideo And More Are Headed To 9-Player Platformer Runbow
This was already a day1 purchase for me, but man did they pullout all the stops. This is definitely shaping up to be 1 of the biggest wiiU games of the year.
Re: Video: Super Mario 64 Leaps Onto Wii U Virtual Console
I can definitely understand why people want to see n64 and Ds virtual console on 3ds, but the 3ds is already backwards compatible with ds games so I don't see that as being necessary. I think GameCube vc will be revealed at E3 the wiiU is now capable of playing every past Nintendo home console games except gamecube and especially with having a GameCube adapter it only make sense for GameCube games to come sooner then later.
Re: Curve Digital is Bringing the Eye-Catching Four Sided Fantasy to Wii U in 2016
Curve digital = best 3rd party publisher for wiiU
Re: Nintendo Download: 5th March (North America)
I already have olliolli on ps3 but strongly considering getting it again I think the game is better suited for the gamepad & 3ds. And I don't have a vita so cant take advantage of crossplay. I highly recommend this game. Also tengami been on my wishlist for sometime now. They forgot to mention the wayforward sales this week too. Probably get both might switch force games on wiiU. Imma hold of on mario vs donkey Kong for a bit I thought the release price was $10
Re: OlliOlli Arrives on Wii U and 3DS Next Week, Cross-Buy Confirmed in All Regions
I got this on sale for my ps3 for only $3 and I may still get this day1. This game is awesome and I would not only love to be able to play this on the gamepad and on the go on my 3ds, but simply just to support curve studios for porting so many awesome games on the eshop.
