Re: FlingSmash Shows off a New Wii Remote with MotionPlus Built-In

thaantman

Haven't gotten a motion plus attachment yet, though I need one cause I brought a brand new copy of redsteel 2 off ebay for only $15, didnt know you absolutely had to have motion plus to play it just thought the game motion would be less accurate. Great they finally making a wiimote with it built in, fling smash looks interesting might have to look more into it

Re: Sakamoto Wants to Know Your Metroid: Other M Thoughts

thaantman

I'm really enjoying other M thus far, love the switching from 2D to 3D it was one of the main buying points, the rest of the gameplay is simply awesome as well.. The cut scenes was done nicely, I do think samus was abit overly emotional but I like the fact she doesn't talk much it's mostly her thinking and it almost makes sense because of her never having a voice before who knows what she really been going thru mentally in previous games. I would like to see a future metriod game with the same overall style and engine maybe even a remake of the old nes or the handheld versions with this style, haven't played metriod fusion but heard this is basically what happens after other M so be nice to play that with other M's engine

Re: Review: Super Smash Bros. Melee (GameCube)

thaantman

@ Link-Hero When I owned Melee years ago, and before I knew any of this, Mario and Marth were my favorite characters to play as because I liked their move styles and they were the easiest for me to use, but even then, I noticed something odd. Whenever I play as Marth, I always seem to have a better chance at winning, but as Mario, not as much.

That just simply mean you can play better as marth than you can as mario. Mario has been my top character since the 1st smash bros. because of his well rounded move set. And what you said about characters like marth, sheik, and fox being perhaps the strongest characters in the game, and characters such as jiggypuff and pichu to be the weakest, not true. I could play just as well as pichu as I could play as pikachu, and I've played people online who've crushed me with jiggypuff, and as far as sheik/zelda goes I've played against zelda and sheik many times most of my friends choose 1 or the other and dont switch out and have had wars with them and won many of them with mario. Now on brawl I play as sheik & zelda and have been commended well online for being one of the few people to actually play as both during gameplay because I know how to utilize the strengths of both characters. and that were strategy kicks in, your not gonna get the same results with the up B button with on character as you would another, dk is better at getting on the stage horizontal, were as king ddd is better at getting on the stage vertically and some players are gonna have to adjust if their use to playing one way oppose to the other. Once again if you dont think this game takes tons of strategy you need to look up the advance game tips for brawl on your nintendo channel

Re: Review: Super Smash Bros. Melee (GameCube)

thaantman

you want to play against competitive smashers, check out allisbrawl.com, man sum of dose guys r merciless, I need 2 buy a new copy of smash bros brawl, mines stopped working a few weeks ago, and I trade it in towards metriod other M.

Re: Review: Super Smash Bros. Melee (GameCube)

thaantman

wats wit all the smash bros bashing here. Smash bros is easily one of the top fighting series of the decade. Smash bros has always taken tons of strategy, that wats cuts smashs bros. form the cloth of other fighting games, u cant button mash ur way to victory u actually have 2 know the character style ur playing wit, any1 who says the game doesnt take strategy probably keeps items on and play on sum of the most ridiculous stages appose to playin on a neutral state no items and actually playing sum1 of skill. All the smash bros. games has been well balance, brawl is the pick 4me because the action is more fast paced and every move feels curial when dippin and blockin knowing its either u or ur opponent, plus it had a more epic feel wit the orchestrated tracks. The original smash bros will 4ever be a classic, way more hard hitting than the later games of the series. And I feel melee probably had the most balance, the pacing is between both of the games in the series, melee brought the most to the table, which brawl only added a bit to. The only sad thing about the smash bros series is that they only make 1 a generation

Re: First Impressions: BIT.TRIP FATE

thaantman

Games like this is why nintendo needs a demo service so we can get a taste before the game come out. We know it's possible, nintendo said it was successful in increasing sells so "Nintendo what is the problem"

Re: BIT.TRIP FATE Revealed at PAX

thaantman

Gaijin Games owns wiiware, already 5 games on the service, I only own beat and void (core doesnt interest me, and just havent had a chance to get runner yet) definitely getting fate.Gaijin are what wiiware should be all about, great quality games, at a good low price

Re: And Yet It Moves

thaantman

Re: Review: Metroid: Other M (Wii)

thaantman

Re: Hands On: Ivy the Kiwi?

thaantman

I lost interest when I found out this would be a retail release instead of wiiware, the ds demo is solid but not sure if I would give this a purchase. This should had stayed a download where it would probably standout among the best on the service, but as a retail game I feel it's just going to get lost in the shuffle

Re: Win One of 100 Digital Copies of Groovin' Blocks

thaantman

This game is great anyone who wasn't fortune enough to get a free copy should definitely put out the 800pts (yeah easy for me to say I got a free copy) But if you are interested in this game or just have an extra 800pts sitting you should definitely get this and not Eduardo the samurai toaster I made that mistake with a spare 800pts once

Re: E3 2010: Miyamoto Unexcitedly Scopes Out Xbox Kinect

thaantman

kinect does look like it may have potential but overall I think is gonna fail, microsoft is trying to touch a market nintendo already has, and a dont think that many people with a wii plan on dishing out almost 500 dollars for a xbox/kinect combo. I dont even see too many xbox fan boys grabing kinect especially since most of them trash wii. Kinect is nothing but a remake of the eyetoy which seemed like a good idea but ultimately failed

Re: E3 2010: Need For Speed in Hot Pursuit of Wii

thaantman

I'm a true Need for speed faithful have brought every console nfs since the 1st underground ( for the exception of shift) I will most definitely be getting this but cant help but feel a little worried. I like the direction they were going with nfs Nitro with the break neck speed, graffiti, the customization, the art direction. I just feel the game could had used more tracks and more depth which is why I was hoping for a Nitro 2. I know hot pursuit wont just be a watered down port because a different team will be working on it so I wonder what direction their going will they use a previous engine or will it be build completely from the ground up.

Re: Luigi's Mansion to Get Sequel?

thaantman

I wonder does nintendo read our comments we make on our club nintendo accounts because just yesterday I was filling out a survey to earn points for my NPC dk jungle beat and I said I would like to see more npc games and luigi's mansion was one of the games I mentioned the others were legend of zelda wind waker, f zero, mario kart double dash, and mario sunshine

Re: Reggie: No New Console Successor Anytime Soon

thaantman

I see this as good news the wii has alot of untapped potential. Were about to get netflixs & a possible demo service for wiiware. I think nintendo should find a way to make sd card support as an update as far as playing music on games they could let you access with the home button, same for wii speak they need to find a way to make an update so wii speak can be compatible with all online. Also if they plan on keeping the wii around for a while they need to patch games and make download content for games like smash bros I would love to have some new characters.

Re: Capcom Growing Less Keen on Wii?

thaantman

RE 4 sold pretty well on wii if they had just made a port of RE 5 instead of another onrail maybe they would of had better sales. RE umbrella chronicles didn't sell to bad either that only means most of the people that brought it didn't enjoy it enough to get the sequel. I wonder if MH3 & t vs. c sells well would that change their minds

Re: NOA Show They Care with Pink and Blue Remotes for Valentines: Includes Early 2010 Lineup

thaantman

My ds has been icy cold this year not saying there hasn't been any good releases but I've been putting alot of focus on building up my wii library this year so haven't been buying any ds games lately, but I'm most definitely going to be getting pokemon gold/silver are my favorite out the series and the only pokemon game where you could actually explore two regions johto & kanto. also tatsunoko v capcom is gonna be sweet

Re: Diatomic Lands on US WiiWare Next Week

thaantman

man just spend my last 800pts didn't think anything good was coming out that would be under 1000pts. Not to mention eduardo the samauri toaster wasn't worth the 800pts, it wasn't terrible but could had been cheaper. Knew I've should had got mr. driller instead. Been interest in this game for a while. Where's someone to send a gift when you need it.

Re: WiiWare Demo Program Proving Successful

thaantman

from the sound of the success rate looks like the demos are here to stay. already own WOG & beat I have yet to purchase any of the other games only because i have other games on my radar at the moment. I thought of a way nintendo should distribute the demos, they should release 5 weekly or biweekly, 2 games that had already been out for a while so people that perhaps been curious about a old title but just never made that leap to buy the game can see if it's worthwhile, two that had been just released so the games can start off with stronger sells, and one that haven't been released yet so people will be more likely to make a day 1 purchase

Re: WiiWare Demo Service Now Available Worldwide!

thaantman

nintendo needs 2 keep this service permanent i've downloaded ffcc darklord pokemon rumble and nyx quest, already have WOG and beat. nyx quest was already on my radar and playing the demos makes me want it more. I had no plans on getting ffcc darklord until playing it, that game is addictive. Not sure about pokemon rumble its okay but seems like it could get repetitive fast, but most pokemon games are repetitive so i might get this at some point

Re: Review: New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii)

thaantman

Man i'm broke, spent my game money on nfs nitro earlier this month, it's fun n all but its no mario u guys need 2 throw a sweepstakes giving afew of these bad boys up. and let me be 1 of the winners 4 thinking of it wink
