Re: Review: Fire Emblem Heroes (Mobile)

I'm only part way through (I think I'm on chapter 5 or 6?) but I'm absolutely loving it so far. I understand the concerns about the free-to-play aspect, but I think that's entirely fair; it is a free game after all. I've certainly found that you can get a decent number of orbs by just playing daily, and there are many more to be gotten through My Nintendo. I dislike the fact it has to be constantly connected, but that's really been my only gripe with it so far.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Nintendo Switch Presentation?

I thought the presentation itself was pretty awful (especially with those horrific translators; what the hell happened there?), but the stuff they showed for me was a mixed bag. Zelda and Mario look amazing and I like the look of the console itself, but the price and launch lineup was very disappointing.

Re: Feature: It's Time to Vote for Your Nintendo Life Game of the Year Awards

It would be hilarious(ly depressing) if Zelda Picross (that title is too long to type out...) won best eShop game of the year.

I also think the AC:NL Welcome Amiibo update deserves at least a shoutout/honourable mention; it really made an enormous difference to the game and is the reason I've been replaying it pretty much daily since it came out.

Re: Talking Point: Ports vs. Sequels On The Nintendo Switch

I thought the Animal Crossing direct implied (at a MASSIVE stretch) that a New Leaf port was in the works. Obviously it's pure speculation, but it does seem odd to update a game that's more than 3 years old on a console they're about to replace; and it doesn't seem like too much of a stretch to launch the Switch with a New Leaf port. We'll see I guess!

Re: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Needs To Sell 2 Million Copies To Make A Profit

2 million seems a lot; didn't Splatoon only hit 1 million recently? (could be very wrong about that) Of course I hope it meets that goal, and I do think it's possible, but it does seem a bit optimistic.

EDIT: Turns out I was very wrong about that number (Splatoon's apparently sold over 4 million as of last Febuary) so 2 million seems a very achievable number; unless something goes horribly wrong I can't see it not hitting that.
