The upcoming Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition is already about as retro as retro can be, but if you want to take things to the next level you'll need a carrying case. No self respecting gamer in the late '80s would have been caught transporting their beloved consoles without adequate protection.
Enter RDS Industries, who have created what looks like the ultimate (and maybe silly?) solution for transporting your beloved NES Mini from A to B. Featuring a hard outer shell for protection and a soft foam insert for your system, two controllers and AC adapter, this certainly looks, well, functional.
A mesh pocket is included for HDMI and USB cables and accessories, and to top it off there is a carrying handle too.

Reminds me a little of all the official Nintendo branded case accessories for the GC, particularly the little carry cases for GC discs as they're quite small but hold quite a lot of docs and great to keep near your cube rather than have all the game cases taking up space. I've got 4, glad I kept them.
Shame this case isn't officially Nintendo branded, but still looks good none the less and I'll consider it if it becomes available in the U.K.

I'm guessing companies aren't taking NES Mini pre-orders b/c when each company asked Nintendo how many units they should expect to receive for launch they all got the same answer - "Not nearly enough." And I'm not even joking.
Can't accept pre-orders when you have no idea how many you'll get.
Well at least they shouldn't, I get the feeling Game in the UK does anyway, then they just cancel them after they get the liw stock in.
@Captain_Gonru OTOH, maybe retailers list this under "toys", have things like Tickle Me Elmo or Cabbage Patch Kids ever been available for pre-order? I can't remember any, but I'm not that hip. I doubt any of those Sega Gear systems ever came up for pre-order. Or those SpongeBob Squarepants direct-to-TV games. Maybe nobody in retail ever thought to make a $60 toy available that way? But of course this is your area, not mine, I leave it to you.
Oh I want one! This is good just for storage purposes. I wish i had bought up a bunch of the console crates back when they were big last gen... I need them now.
