Re: Countdown: 3DS eShop Spotlight - HarmoKnight

I love rhythm games but not this one. Story and characters are meh and the boss Battles are terrible. Instead of playing a song you just repeat a given pattern and if you miss you have the redo the whole thing.

In general the soundtrack is forgettable.

Pocket Card Jockey is my preferred non pokemon Gamefreak title.

I guess this was supposed to be an extra like the Jeanne minigame but decided to sell it by itself, maybe fleshing it out a bit more as it is taking 6 months to release.

My issue is with the demo being so brief and incomplete (demo of a demo) and that price tag as this is niche among the niche. Maybe the NSO thing is what they are thinking of as you say.

I love Bayonetta but I hated this. Style over substance. It is beyond me how an IP so focused in combat ignores this in the demo, and the price tag is insane, even for Nintendo. Your indie comments are spot on.

They should just put it in the eShop instead of cynically removing the requirements to have people trying it by any means so we buy it.

Never saw it coming but so excited. People who say Splatoon 2 is a slight upgrade from 1 should go back to the original and play it again. 1 feels like a prototype although I still prefer the music.

This could still be nearly 2 years away so not that soon. Nice to see they trust the IP enough for it to close the Direct. I guess sales figures have helped.

I love Platinum but I dont like this one. Too anime/superhero movie for me with cliched characters, convoluted and self important story and a few attempts at humour that fall flat. It feels more like a Kojima game than a Platinum title. The geek character is even named Hal. Really?

Combat is decent but Bayonetta excels on that department. The levels are overlong, for an action game it makes them feel repetitive.

I found the final boss ridiculously overpowered and a huge difficulty spike compared to any other boss before. Beat the game and never went back to it.
