I get the feeling that stuff like Switch era Ages is more of Sega throwing money at M2 than legions of fans across the globe throwing money at Sega. They see their sales numbers. They know what sells: Yakuza and Sonic merch.

M2 plans to release every Toaplan title. According to almost two years ago when they were showing off gameplay footage of more than just Tiger Heli. You may have to wait a decade so that they can program an entire dating sim or tamagotchi content that we never asked for.

I'm happy M2 is finally following through on the Toaplan games; but this release also screams every reason Cave gave them the finger.

Worst part of the Switch is it’s screen. I’m all over this. Nintendo said they weren’t releasing a “pro” a million times.

Depends on your definition of easy, I guess. Surely, Super Metroid and Dragon’s Trap style games are more tedious to map out then simpler contained or gated level by level platformers.

You can quarter feed your way to the end. Mushihimesama is the most stereotypical example of modern danmaku as it gets. The last boss in arrange mode is migraine inducing. In original mode, on the default difficulty, playing to survive, it’s not at all “Nintendo Hard”. Pretty predictable. Be warned, the game itself is short and it’s heavy on the otaku/weeb fan service.

Maybe this Live Wire crew should pick up the Raizing, Toaplan and Compile licenses from M2? I’m willing to wager Battle Garegga is running on Switch but we’ll have to wait three years so that M2 can program a whole dating sim to add in as “bonus” content.

The amen break does all of the heavy lifting in that game. I literally play it just because it’s the shooter with the jungle soundtrack. I certainly don’t play it for the level design: Two popcorn enemies and then a boss. Two popcorn enemies and the a boss. Two popcorn enemies and then a boss.

The good news is the first two records are all you have to worry about. Rock-Pop Power Chord Sweater band that spawned an offshoot Moog-Synth Fuzz-Rock Pop band; all of which soon became a parody of itself.

So my question about the delays on these digital releases...They’re shooters. How is there a delay? How does one need a localisation team? Just put multiple languages into options menu when you program the thing and off it goes, no?

According to an intern at Bloomberg that gets paid in contributor’s copies, Hamster is holding out on Raiden so that they can utilise the graphical improvements of the Switch Pro.

I think for most of us, the appeal was the game itself. Whereas, Sega believes that the appeal is the characters. They see the numbers and so I’m assuming that there’s more young children and adult Chris Chans in the world than people who want to play an old 2D platformer series that also happens to be somewhat contested as to whether or not it was ever good or not.

Huh? Did you read what I wrote? I was backing up your sentiments.

The RAM is slow as a snail and the WiFi is a scorching hot dumpster fire on the Nintendo Switch. BOTW would have less pop-up if it were running on a Sega Saturn. 99% of the games I have on Switch are also available on PC/PS4/XBOX and they all run marginally better to MUCH better on those platforms.

The only new Nintendo game on my Switch is BOTW. NES/SNES/FAMI only was nice, but no N64/CUBE/ADV/GB/ETC? I gotchu.

In my case, old is new and all of the indie titles from the past 15 years are new to me and so the Switch is filled with dope metroidvanias and...metroidvanias. The rest is a classic shmup machine. If I hadn’t taken a twenty year break, would the Switch be so appealing to me? I don’t think so.

This weekend I'm going to buy Raiden from Hamster Corporation and a bunch of Toaplan titles from M2.

Okami is on sale? This is a rare event, everyone. You will only have this one chance.

I seriously think that the CPU did it at some point and someone presumed that that meant they could too.

I was just thinking. Did anyone run these tests with Zangief controlled by the CPU? If anyone can do what humans aren't allowed to do in Street Fighter II we all know that their name is SEE PEE YOU.

There were probably more bootleg variants of SFII than legit revisions. The possibilities are endless.
