Since the flip grip appears to never be re-stocked anytime in the near future, does anyone know about alternatives on the market so that I can rock that TATE mode?
Futari should be a no-brainer (also 360) if publishing these other titles proves to have been worthwhile. The more of these games get ported, the more they sell, and the more publishers want to publish them. I’d love to see some publishers hiring M2 to port CAVE/8ing/Compile/Toaplan games instead of M2 taking on the publisher/producer/director role. We’d get some great ports instead of waiting 10 years per game because someone feels it’s necessary to include some pervy schoolgirl dating game as an easter egg or whatever. Anyone notice I have a bug up my anus over M2’s management decisions? 😂Also ran: nobody sleep on Razion on Thursday.
I haven’t noticed any issues. Menus and stuff are a bit clunky, but no worse than Hamster. Mostly a result of them porting a port. So there’s “in game” options from the start menu and then separate options before entering the game. If that makes sense.
If you have a access to a smartphone, the Google Translate app works really well. You just point it at the text and it starts populating the translation before your very eyes.
@RCGamer @RCGamer I don’t recall any performance issues with Blasphemous. Some of the mid boss fights are a little janky and the final boss is all about luck. The game is awesome, btw.
Like I said, they opened the flood gates. They got tired of everyone bitching at them and now pretty much anyone who wants to publish an old Cave game has the go ahead.
Playing through a second time. Man does mouse look suck the fun out of these post Doom II games. The bullet sponge enemies me no like either. But I knew that then.
Speaking of: why do people put games like Quake and Duke Nukem 3D in the same (boomer shooter) category as Doom, Wolfenstein 3D and Blake Stone? If you can look up and down, it ain't the same thing. The gameplay changes so much.
Live Wire has these three games this year. Probably more to follow. Anything that came to XB0X is definitely 98% ready for market. We don’t know which games M2 still has their hands on (if any). I’m pretty sure that M2 has all of the Raizing stuff (and maybe 8ing). They got Sorcer Striker out there on a Playstation generation (not other consoles) and Battle Garegga on XBOXONE/PS4. Everyone and their grandmother has been asking for Batrider…..deaf ears. They’ll release the Tiger Helli games in October, and I guarantee that that Toaplan release schedule will be like Rob Liefeld era Image Comics. They have Compile (or at least the Aleste Series), Raizing and whatever remaining Cave backlogs all scattershot and they will waste their time making pedo wet dream school girl dating sims instead of staying focused.
The audience for this more than likely already have the input devices that are compatible with it. Especially the 3.5mm jack assistive switches that look similar to cv/gate trigger peripherals. Heck, I may even have those lying around, myself. The Optima joystick isn’t required. The Hori unit uses XINPUT. Any directional device should do. They’re not going to make something like this and not expect people to hook up mouth/chin joysticks. Speaking of which, you think six hundred pounds is bad…. try two grand, minimum. Again, it’s expected that the user already has one since they need it to communicate. I don’t know what specific bellows joystick that they’re using on the optima but usually that part alone would be over $100 because it’s built to last forever and suffer a lot of abuse. Imagine the analog joystick from a Joycon being attached to a wheelchair that gets banged around and being used as your only mode of communication: it would last a day at best.
Evidently, M2 dragged their feet because they always want to spend their time adding tomogatchis, dating sims and entire new games to their ports. So Cave got fed up and tasked Live Wire with republishing the xbox 360 ports and at reasonable prices, to boot. They won’t feature M2’s painstakingly recreated hardware emulation down to the pcb traces and logic gates but 99% is just bothering to show up, as the wise sensei doth say.
Policenauts literally has a Mel Gibson and a Danny Glover. Metal Gear Solid 4 (I think it’s 4) let’s you play with some girl’s boobs if you shake the controller, MGS5 has a character that breathes through her skin….or so was the explanation for her bikini and the gratuitous cleavage and whale tail closeups. All that you would expect from a 10 year old. Except, it’s from some old guy raking in $$$.
But wait, a bunch of weebs, furries and lolicons told me that the guy responsible for “Lethal Weapon in Space”, “motion controlled boob jiggle”, and “I’m breathing through my skin and so anything more than this suffocating pushup bra would suffocate me” also happens to be the finest artist of our time. 😂💅
Y’all say that Konami hates video games, but they did fire the guy that wanted hundreds of millions of dollars to make “games” that consisted of 80 hr cut scenes and then some playable interludes where you look at boobs and butts and audio record what pirates do (but without the pillaging).
If all weebs are not Japanese and most Japanese are Japanese; that creates a near zero weeb to non-weeb ratio resulting in reasonable prices on weeb goods.
I had joked about Nintendo probably releasing a 2D Metroid after seeing so many 2D Metroidvanias sell like hot cakes on their eshop. Low and behold: Metroid Dread. Nintendo has to know a significant percentage of it’s install base is mostly a split of people that haven’t bought a Nintendo system since the SNES and their children. I would be shocked if they don’t release the Zelda games from N64/GameCube/GBA/Wii on Switch at some point. Too much new money for old games not to.

Since there’s a pre-existing 360 port, let’s cross our fingers and pray that Livewire brings over Ketsui since M2 couldn’t be bothered.

It just dawned on me, it IS priced like Dangun Feveron and Battle Garegga. Plus the DLC. We’re not quite at Taito mode, though. 😂
