Re: Switch Exclusive Platformer Castle of Heart Secures A March Release Date

I'll keep my eye on this one.

I'm starting to wonder, are indie Devs ACTUALLY making money at this point? Like, the eshop must be flooded with games now, ( mostly excellent games) too many maybe?

Who's buying a few games from there each week? I'm not. Last summer I bought a couple, but sticking with physical mostly now if games get them.

Just seems like a bit of a bubble for indies on the switch ATM. Maybe that's what EA are waiting to see what happens there.

Just a thought.

I'd say they will release an updated Switch with full backwards compatibility every 2 years or so. That's how you keep the name going. Unless, god forbid, it turns into the Wii brand, which I doubt it will (fingers crossed).

Literally 4 of my friend, who are not mad into gaming at all just bought a Switch each over the past week. Nintendo are killing it! I am pleased cause now I have even more real life friends who love mario kart lol. One even bought BotW. I'm pleased

Re: Hackers Get Linux Running On Switch And Claim Nintendo Can't Patch The Exploit

I only softmod a console when the next gen is released. WiiU is modded, it's great!

I emulate all systems on my pc up to ps2/Wii as ps360 is still not great at all, tough systems to get running so that'll be a few more years. But I use steam etc. for last gen 3rd party games, so..

WiiU on pc is good, but you cants use gamepad on pc (yet) so I'll prob never properly use Cemu. Same with Citra.

As for the Switch, I'll keep my eye on this but I won't be hacking it for some years. Nintendo will still get my cash for a few years yet.

I really don't see the problem with hacking, modding, emulating old/last gen systems. Companies made their money and have moved on to the next system. It's a VERY small minority that will try this with the switch at the moment anyway.

But yeah, nintendo is right to send out an update to try block this. It's just part of gaming now a days.

Re: Switch Surpasses Wii U Lifetime Sales in UK, But Its Dominance Isn't As Strong As Elsewhere

@Julien lol, I'm Irish, in Ireland and I'm fully aware that Ireland is NOT part of the UK.

I ask, because we don't have charts in Ireland, for games at least, last I heard, so I always presume, since most of our shops here in Ireland are UK companies, that they include the sales from here as we would be a very small percentage wise.

It's never clear. That's why I ask every now and then.
