@SLIGEACH_EIRE hmm, that's a pity. But sure I have the pro so I'll be grand. I'll try with the joycons anyway.
EDIT: And yes, I'm buying a year old, downgraded port. Lol.
Have you really not bought a Switch yet?
I love it, such an upgrade from the WiiU which I never played, too distracting with the second screen IMHO, it actually put me off playing the system a lot. Love playing docked and traveling to and from work. Put over 100 hours into Stardew Valley, which I would never do on a home console or PC tbh.
Playing through BotW at the moment. Sinking so much time into it on the switch cause it's portable, which is a god send to me.
I am one of those guys that wants WiiU ports to the Switch sadly.
Bayonetta 1&2
Paper Mario
A collection of the Remastered Zelda's (including SS with better controls but that's not going to happen, cause, money to be made)
XCX
Darksiders 1&2 with 3 to come to the Switch when it's out.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE
Etc.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE lol dude, take a chill, jaysus. The joycons are fine, even in my big hands, I don't know what you're talking about there.
Yes BotW is a port to the Switch from the wiiu. It was developed for the wiiu in mind. It was delayed and delayed to be PORTED to the Switch. Really don't know why people can't see that.
Wonder if we'll ever get an exclusive Zelda for the Switch.
I should really go back to BotW. I played 'about 25hours' until my friends nephew somehow deleted my game file. Just haven't had the heart, or time to go back yet. But I think I've had my fill of Mario Odyssey now, so maybe I'll start BotW all over again.
Just finished the main game last night and REALLY enjoyed it. I'll go back to it at the weekend. I'd class it as one of the best.
I've tried to play m64 over the years, just could never get into it. Sunshine was my favourite, same with World and 3, Odyssey seems to be taking that spot for now.
On a side note, I loved 3D Land on the 3ds, it was so good, and 2 games in one, but I absolutely hated 3d world on wiiu, just felt, this is too easy, co-op gameplay, boring. Possibly the worst in the main line mario series for me.
@Scottwood101 yeah, I've seen folk online saying the South African eshop is very cheap! Or, cheaper at least. I might set up an account for there. But I do love my physical games, it's a catch 22.
Question. Do I have to sign into the South African account to play games I've bought from that region?
They can go an s**te with their mandatory 14GB download. Preorder cancelled.
I want physical so I can play the full game in 20 years instead of worrying about having a massive download to play the game a WAS going to pay full price for.
This, does not look good for other Rock* games coming to the switch. Of course AAA games are big, but these companies should explain in full detail how big the game is and why it's on a big card. Not take up space on my handheld/home console system which is for download only indie games, which can be big too.
No doubt, prices will come down in the future, but right now, it's a nasty nail.
Yes it's amazing that skyrim and Doom are coming to the switch, and you can play them portably, it's great, don't get me wrong. But, skyrim is a 6 or 7 year old game, it's old, no matter what people try to tell themselves. It should be a budget title at €35 max. Doom is only a year old. But, again, it's on sale all the time. Got it on PS4, new, for like €15 physical last year. So £49, is pretty outrageous imho.
Also, skyrim is coming to PSVR around the same time, wonder how that will sell.
I'll buy these games when they go down in price in a years time. But Bethesda, won't count sales copies a year later as successful.
It's a pity, when Mario, xc2, etc at max £41/€55 as BRAND NEW games. At the end of the day, these are ports, no other way to look at it.
Also, I see a lot of people saying people only have a Switch, lies. People who buy systems in first year, generally also have a PS4 or xbone(not all 7million people, but most), so, options to play these games on the cheap.
It's a money grab. God I hope it pays off and people buy these games so we can get future games like Wolfenstein 2 next year. That's what I really want. New games.
I was blown away one year ago. Loved the idea, which should have been the wiiu in reality but they launched the Switch at the right time.
Didn't think it would be THIS popular though. And I didn't think I'd be playing Stardew Valley on it one year later either. They've struck gold with Switch, and it hasn't even had an Xmas period yet.
Hmm, would be neat to own one, but I don't think I'd use it much if at all. And I would think there would be a Gameboy Color after it to make more money.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE would LOVE a GameCube mini, but I think that's gonna be a launch VC for the Switch next year. New joycons for the new GameCube games on VC that used analog, which isn't many tbh.
I got my switch at launch with BotW, played about 20hours and just didn't turn it on again.
But I bought SDV at the weekend and I haven't put it down. Started to play the system on my way o work on the train and bus! It's an amazing system and has so many games coming. SDV was the click for me. Can't wait for Odyssey in a few weeks now.
The Switch joycons are fine, but yes, it's much better playing with the pro. My hands do cramp up after a long time playing with the joycons, but sure, no bother.
@impurekind yeah I watched a few videos on doing the hack too. It's simple enough tbh, but, I'm gonna play the games on it for the moment and wait till the new year and do the hack then when it's idiot proof lol.

Re: Review: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Switch)
@Fight_Teza_Fight yeah, it's just too big of a game for me to get it on PSVR I think, for me.
Might pick that version up in a couple's years, but right now I'm all about the Switch. PS4 has taken a back seat since the summer for me.
Re: Naughty Hackers Have Homebrew Running On Switch Now
It's a little too early to hack the switch just yet. I'll give it another 3 or 4 years then attempt it. But good to hear/see progress!
Re: Review: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Switch)
Woo, I'm not sure if I actually need a copy of this....
But no doubt I'll take a wonder on my lunch break to Smyth's and Argos, just to see what the price is like, that's all though......
The lies outta me!!!! I'll probably buy it.
Is the VR version out tomorrow too? I just don't think I'd be arsed with that version when I can play it too and from work on the Switch.
Re: RiME Devs Explain The Difficulty Of Porting The Game To Switch
Too late, the damage is sadly done with all the reviews out in the wild.
Pity, looks like it could be a beautiful game. But it has its problems on all systems, pity Switch is the worst, I would have bought it
Re: Guide: All The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild amiibo Unlocks
Jesus, the price of some of these. Who is paying upwards of £/$60 for these?
Re: It's Sci-Fi vs. Fantasy in the Next North American Splatoon 2 Splatfest
Meh
Re: Wii U's Failure Is Responsible For Switch's Success, Says Reggie
@SLIGEACH_EIRE have the wiiu pro too. Love it! Can use it on the Switch too, bit of a work around, and no rumble, but, can be done.
Re: Wii U's Failure Is Responsible For Switch's Success, Says Reggie

Great stuff! Mines pre-ordered with Amazon, should get it next week.
Re: New Fire Emblem Warriors Update Basically Turns The Game Into Ghouls 'n Ghosts
@JoakimZ @leo13 @XenoShaun thanks for all the advice guys!
Re: Review: Syberia (Switch)
Glad I picked this up. 7/10 isn't bad for a pretty old game. Will get Sybria 2 next month, and 3 when ever it comes to the Switch.
Re: New Fire Emblem Warriors Update Basically Turns The Game Into Ghouls 'n Ghosts
@Damo awesome!!! I might start it this week so. Ta!
Re: New Fire Emblem Warriors Update Basically Turns The Game Into Ghouls 'n Ghosts
I bought this but still haven't played it yet. Is it as good as Hyrule Warriors?

Such a pain I 'lost' my save

Re: Sky Force Reloaded Is Coming to the Switch
Just had a go on the phone. It's good. Might give it a shot on switch, if it's priced right.

Re: Deals: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For November And December
@Indielink yeah that's the problem, very steep premium to play a port of a 6 year old game. I find that difficult to accept.
But who am I kidding, I'll prob get it on release lol
Re: Deals: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For November And December
@SayGuh haha I'm a guy.

Re: Deals: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For November And December
Doom and skyrim are expensive. Why? €35 max I think I'd pay for each. Bit if a shame, those prices will put people off in shops, seriously.
LA Noire is an ok price I guess.
Re: Leif's Adventure: Netherworld Hero Will Make Its Debut on Nintendo Switch
Looks interesting, it's added to the wish list pile
Re: Action-RPG Blossom Tales Is Set to Bloom on Switch eShop This Winter
Looks EXACTLY like LttP and Minish Cap. Two of my favourite Zelda's ever!!!
They are thinking right, get this game on the Switch well ahead of whatever the SNES/GBA VC is gonna be next year and get them sales!!!!
I'll pick it up.
Re: Payday 2 is Still Set for a 'Winter' Release on Nintendo Switch
Wish I was into multiplayer games, I'd buy it on release, but I'm not, pity.
Re: Out Today: Enticing Switch eShop Titles Arrive to Stretch Your Bank Account
Still playing Stardew

Unreal!
Re: EA Won't Entirely Rule Out Star Wars Battlefront II Coming To Switch
I'd buy it over the PS4 or steam version.
Maybe EA are waiting to see what Nintendo online subscription includes re online playing next year.

Re: Video: Check Out These New Mini Games in Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2
Revelations 2 is a definite pick up for me. The mini game sweetens the deal.
Have Revelations 1 on nearly every other system so that one is a hard pass for me.
Re: Review: Rogue Trooper Redux (Switch eShop)
I'll wait for a sale.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - The Triumphant(?) Return

Nothing for me this week. Addicted to Stardew
Re: Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Takes Number One Spot in Japan, Switch Still on Top
Why don't they combine all 3ds systems into one amount? Same with PS4?
Re: Rumours Swirl Around a 'Game Boy Classic' Trademark, But Don't Get Too Excited
Hmm, would be neat to own one, but I don't think I'd use it much if at all. And I would think there would be a Gameboy Color after it to make more money.
So, it's a 'meh' from me.
Re: Super Famicom Mini Greatly Outsold Famicom Mini In Japan
@SLIGEACH_EIRE would LOVE a GameCube mini, but I think that's gonna be a launch VC for the Switch next year. New joycons for the new GameCube games on VC that used analog, which isn't many tbh.
I can see an N64 Mini happening.
Re: Random: Nineties Kids, Rejoice - Tamagotchis Are Making A Comeback
@foodmetaphors interesting, I'll have a look on the store. Thanks
Re: Random: Nineties Kids, Rejoice - Tamagotchis Are Making A Comeback
Eh, pass. No backlight?
Release an android and iOS app to celebrate.
Unless, I read it wrong and that's what they are doing or have done?
