Re: Review: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Switch)

@Fight_Teza_Fight yeah, it's just too big of a game for me to get it on PSVR I think, for me.

Might pick that version up in a couple's years, but right now I'm all about the Switch. PS4 has taken a back seat since the summer for me.

Woo, I'm not sure if I actually need a copy of this....

But no doubt I'll take a wonder on my lunch break to Smyth's and Argos, just to see what the price is like, that's all though......

The lies outta me!!!! I'll probably buy it.

Is the VR version out tomorrow too? I just don't think I'd be arsed with that version when I can play it too and from work on the Switch.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE hmm, that's a pity. But sure I have the pro so I'll be grand. I'll try with the joycons anyway.

EDIT: And yes, I'm buying a year old, downgraded port. Lol.

Have you really not bought a Switch yet?
I love it, such an upgrade from the WiiU which I never played, too distracting with the second screen IMHO, it actually put me off playing the system a lot. Love playing docked and traveling to and from work. Put over 100 hours into Stardew Valley, which I would never do on a home console or PC tbh.
Playing through BotW at the moment. Sinking so much time into it on the switch cause it's portable, which is a god send to me.

I am one of those guys that wants WiiU ports to the Switch sadly.

Bayonetta 1&2
Paper Mario
A collection of the Remastered Zelda's (including SS with better controls but that's not going to happen, cause, money to be made)
XCX
Darksiders 1&2 with 3 to come to the Switch when it's out.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE
Etc.

But that's just me.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE lol dude, take a chill, jaysus. The joycons are fine, even in my big hands, I don't know what you're talking about there.

Yes BotW is a port to the Switch from the wiiu. It was developed for the wiiu in mind. It was delayed and delayed to be PORTED to the Switch. Really don't know why people can't see that.

Wonder if we'll ever get an exclusive Zelda for the Switch.

Re: Talking Point: The Case for Super Mario Odyssey as the Greatest Mario Game

readyletsgo

Just finished the main game last night and REALLY enjoyed it. I'll go back to it at the weekend. I'd class it as one of the best.

I've tried to play m64 over the years, just could never get into it. Sunshine was my favourite, same with World and 3, Odyssey seems to be taking that spot for now.

On a side note, I loved 3D Land on the 3ds, it was so good, and 2 games in one, but I absolutely hated 3d world on wiiu, just felt, this is too easy, co-op gameplay, boring. Possibly the worst in the main line mario series for me.

Re: You Won't Be Able To Download L.A. Noire Without A MicroSD Card

They can go an s**te with their mandatory 14GB download. Preorder cancelled.

I want physical so I can play the full game in 20 years instead of worrying about having a massive download to play the game a WAS going to pay full price for.

This, does not look good for other Rock* games coming to the switch. Of course AAA games are big, but these companies should explain in full detail how big the game is and why it's on a big card. Not take up space on my handheld/home console system which is for download only indie games, which can be big too.

No doubt, prices will come down in the future, but right now, it's a nasty nail.

Re: Deals: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For November And December

@SayGuh haha I'm a guy.

Yes it's amazing that skyrim and Doom are coming to the switch, and you can play them portably, it's great, don't get me wrong. But, skyrim is a 6 or 7 year old game, it's old, no matter what people try to tell themselves. It should be a budget title at €35 max. Doom is only a year old. But, again, it's on sale all the time. Got it on PS4, new, for like €15 physical last year. So £49, is pretty outrageous imho.

Also, skyrim is coming to PSVR around the same time, wonder how that will sell.

I'll buy these games when they go down in price in a years time. But Bethesda, won't count sales copies a year later as successful.

It's a pity, when Mario, xc2, etc at max £41/€55 as BRAND NEW games. At the end of the day, these are ports, no other way to look at it.

Also, I see a lot of people saying people only have a Switch, lies. People who buy systems in first year, generally also have a PS4 or xbone(not all 7million people, but most), so, options to play these games on the cheap.

It's a money grab. God I hope it pays off and people buy these games so we can get future games like Wolfenstein 2 next year. That's what I really want. New games.

Re: Anniversary: It's One Year Since Nintendo Showed Us The Switch

readyletsgo

I was blown away one year ago. Loved the idea, which should have been the wiiu in reality but they launched the Switch at the right time.

Didn't think it would be THIS popular though. And I didn't think I'd be playing Stardew Valley on it one year later either. They've struck gold with Switch, and it hasn't even had an Xmas period yet.

Unreal!

Re: Here Are the Key Lessons that Nintendo Learned from the Wii U

readyletsgo

I got my switch at launch with BotW, played about 20hours and just didn't turn it on again.

But I bought SDV at the weekend and I haven't put it down. Started to play the system on my way o work on the train and bus! It's an amazing system and has so many games coming. SDV was the click for me. Can't wait for Odyssey in a few weeks now.

The Switch joycons are fine, but yes, it's much better playing with the pro. My hands do cramp up after a long time playing with the joycons, but sure, no bother.
