Re: Some Lucky Fans Have Already Played Niantic's New Pikmin Game, Here Are The First Details

readyletsgo

@bobzbulder lol no no, its just a limit from your house, 5k in each direction. Its been going on since End of Dec. Its (fingers crossed)being lifted next week.
Apparently we have the worst restrictions in Europe. Brother lives in Barcelona, sounds bad there, but they have little bars and cafes open at 8am to 11am and 4pm to 7pm, we dont even have that, just take away coffees and Pints, which is expensive and very useless. Walking around with a messy festival pints, just buy cans instead.

TBH, its been hell. Haven't left my little town in nearly a year. I have everything here I need, but I miss working in city center and meeting city friends etc.

Never played Soul Hackers, but I do have it on my 2DS, must have gotten it in a sale at some point. Might give it a go, but I not big into JRPGs tbh.

Maybe I'll be surprised?

Re: Nintendo Plugs Zelda: Skyward Sword HD With New "Button-Only" Control Scheme

readyletsgo

I'm playing through (slowly and very casually as I'm wfh) Skyward Sword on my WiiU again at the moment. I dont mind the Motion controls TBH.

But, its a great game, enjoying it again after 10 years.
I may be tempted to pick this version up again later in the year for the standard controls and little bump in visuals.

I know, I know, I'm part of the problem lol

Re: Nintendo Gives Us A Look At The Switch Box Art For Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

Re-started SS on my WiiU yesterday again. I have that little MClassic dongle connected to the WiiU also.

Its not perfect, but, looks pretty good! Still no problems with the Wiimote either. It is a little annoying in combat but I got over it after an hour.

I think I'll be giving SSHD a pass for now anyway.
Unless there is massive updates, which I just cant see in the trailer from the direct, but its just a trailer. There will probably be more announced in the next couple of months.

But for now, I just dont see it worth the €60 for a port with button controls. Bit of a bad move for Nintendo. Should be €30/40 for this port.

Or part of a collection with WWHD & TPHD for €60/70.
No interest in those joycons tbh.

Re: Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, Wednesday 17th February

readyletsgo

I hope there are a few Big Wii/Gamecube Remasters, like surprises and they are all €20 each to download, no physical releases.
Bet there will be a full 20mins of Smash stuff, which I'm just not into. But that leaves a half hour of maybe, loads of 35th Anniversary Zelda stuff. Metroid Stuff. Maybe a sneak peak at a new F-Zero or Mother/Earthbound.

And a Free Download of Galaxy 2 for folks who bought the Cart or bought from the Eshop.

Either way, will be a nice info dump of stuff. its been a year and a half without a Direct like this. MAD!

Re: Poll: Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?

readyletsgo

Yup, its arriving at 3pm Irish time so, 3 more hours. Then two more hours of work lol

Had it on the WiiU, loved it. This version is pretty much the same but Mario is a little faster and I'm sure there are other tiny 'QoL' updates in there too. And Bowsers Fury. €60 is ok to me for the port, its a big game.

First Switch game I've bought since 3D Mario collection.
I dont really buy games for the Switch TBH.

The next game I buy will probably be the Zelda collection, if that really does happen.

Re: Rumour: Datamine Apparently Reveals All About The New Nintendo Switch Revision

readyletsgo

Its coming up on 4 years of rumors of a Switch Pro, the closer we get to 5 years, the more real it gets obviously. I dont believe they are only working on it for 2 years, I'd say 3.5 years. They are always working on the next hardware. Sony and MS are the same, why is this shocking for people?

It just needs a bigger screen and faster RAM, bigger internal memory, a better docking system, like, smaller or something. New better Joycons, I've been lucky, none of my Joycons have the drift (so far anyways).
And complete backwards compatibility. Which I hope stays forever from now on, since Nintendo want to be like Apple in a way with each new system now.

TBH I dont really know what I would like with a new or 'Pro' Switch. I just want new games not ports, they are great for folk that never played the WiiU back catalog of course, some of them are great games, but I have them all already. I just dont play my switch, WiiU is still hooked up, its slow but still a great system. Its been a long while since I bought a new game. Got the Mario collection, enjoyed it, but haven't touched it since maybe a week after release. Neat to have it though!

Maybe some adult type games from Nintendo would be great. A new horror made internally from them would be interesting.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Focus On Younger Players Is A Positive, Not A Negative

readyletsgo

Nintendo need to set up a older teen and adult development team to make Horror/action games that appeal to people over the age of 10.

We on here are a very different breed. I've been playing Ninty since I was 10 back in the 80s. I love most of their games sure.

But I have yearned for Nintendo to make a ressy type game for decades, or dark games (IDK, I'm not a game dev, I play the games, and pay for them). They haven't really done that since Eternal Darkness. They still have the trade mark for that game, but they just renew it every few years to keep that name, nothing more,.

Like, what would be so wrong that they have an adult development section?
They are a bit too over protection/sensitive of looking after kids on their systems.

Yes I know we have xbox and playstion for these type of games, but thats not the point. I want Nintendo to make these games.
They might not sell as well, but they need to get a corner market, ya never know, they might succeed in it.

What would be the harm in trying? They can afford it.

Either way, we know what we get with Nintendo systems so its really not the end of the world.

Re: Feature: Evercade's Latest Cart Is Offering A Vital Connection To Nintendo History

readyletsgo

@ReikoMortis Yes, I got one last month with all ten carts, all in.

They have fixed a lot of problems, carts are easy to put in and take out. Firmware update so you can change button inputs. Didnt have a problem with save states so I dont know what people are talking about with that at all.
Screen is fine, I dont see any problems at all with it at all.
Buttons are very responsive too

I use mine in handheld, but I also use it on my little CRT TV with an HDMI to AV connection, looks great!

I highly recommend this system, and all the carts.
I love that every few months we get at least 2 new carts with loads of games on them and they only cost €20, which is nothing really. And its all official, which is nice.

It was such a pity when the original systems went out for review to reviewers, because people just focused on the bad, and those reviews are what pops up now when people look it up aka, 'MetalJesus Rocks' and 'Game Sack' etc.

Its all been updated now and working very well. Its a very niche product, they know its a small audience but I love mine and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of getting one.

I'm hoping they are going to release a proper home console version for these games in the next year or two with a proper controller or allow use to use our 8bitdo controllers with inbuilt bluetooth.

EDIT: On Multiplayer.

The Devs did say ( a while back) that they will be leaving in all the multiplayer settings and games in all the releases with a hope that they can release a home system in the future. So thats, promising

Re: Feature: Best Nintendo Switch Collections And Compilation Games

readyletsgo

These collections are great for the Switch.
I hope more companies do loads more.

Only problem with some are the prices.
I'm happy to pay between €10 and €20 for a collection (retro, not Bioshock, Spyro etc). Anymore than that, and I give them a miss.
They do go on sale though on the eshop, and thats when I pick them up.

Those Darius collections are priced why too high. And when on sale, they are still way to high lol.

@kingbk 'Also, time for Microsoft to port over Rare Replay....'

I can see Microsoft porting over Rare Replay to the Switch (or the next Switch) maybe Xmas 2021.
The new Xbox will be out a year by then, and the Xbox one will be a distant memory in Microsofts mind by then.

Or, they will carry the port over to the series X and it will never come to Nintendo
