Action-RPG Code Of Princess is getting a makeover in the form of Code Of Princess EX, and it's headed straight for Nintendo Switch this summer. The remastered version will include HD graphics, a local co-op option and numerous other gameplay additions and enhancements. These improvements include smarter AI, updated balancing and a new character leveling-up system.
The story follows one Princess Solange of DeLuxia as she fights to restore order in a world where monsters are trying to overtake the human race. Armed with the legendary sword DeLuxcalibur, Solange assembles a team of talented fighters to join her quest. It's a pretty standard RPG setup, but if the EX version is as rewarding as the original, Switch is getting another hit in handheld form.
It'll be retail at $39.99 in both digital and physical this summer, although there's no word on a physical edition making it to the EU just yet. We'll keep you posted.
Let us know what you make of this latest remaster news. Will you be picking up Code Of Princess EX when it drops later this year?

This could be interesting It wasn't the best brawler I played but I kinda enjoyed it.
Awesome!
I actually enjoyed it quite a bit on 3DS. Been ages since I played it so might consider double dipping, especially with there being a physical release.
Nicalis are knocking it out of the park on Switch!
I liked it enough on 3DS and played it again recently, but I don't think I'll be double-dipping for this. Maybe if I find the physical on sale.
I played this on 3ds but found it a little disapointing.wont double dip
Heck yes.
Had so much hopes for this one in 3DS but it was a let down for me at least. The game mechanics seemed unfinished and in the end you had to press buttons like crazy and nothing more than that. Not to mention the story that was a little disappointing as well.
Abso-f'n-lutely.
Oh I'll pick this up physically. This was out on the 3ds right? Yup, I'll buy. Hopefully it comes to Europe so I don't have to import, it's not a problem, just takes longer to arrive from the states.
I enjoyed it on 3ds, but for $39.99 with it's a big no-no for me to double dip. The added features are not enough, unless there's another campaign at least as long as the main story and a bunch of new playable characters
This games is boring, Senran Kagura is 10x better if you like busty fighters.
Pretty cool. I have this digitally on 3DS, I'll probably wind up buying this physically on Switch. The new gameplay improvements/tweaks are welcoming.
Never played it ,but aren't we getting a lot of new game announcements today. And the direct has not even happen yet
Hope they bring the retail version to EU. Really enjoyed playing this on the 3DS.
Tempting, but i never finished the game on 3DS because it got wicked hard. So probably I should pass on this one.
Got this on both 3DS and PC but would just say stick to the single player aspect of the game because multiplayer can be janky with the combat.
Did they nerf the box art lol?
I still have the 3ds version but I probably will double dip!
I skipped the 3Ds version so I will most likely get it.
I'm not averse to pinup designs (cute girls is what I got Skullgirls for), but this is a tad much. Or more accurately, the opposite of much
@Arnold-Kage Ain't that the truth! This game would have made the Direct good for me if it was in it. Probably not, but it would have.
This was day-one for me on the 3DS. I loved it, but felt the game ended just as the story really got going. Wish it was longer and with more moves per person. They are going to have to add quite a bit to get me to double dip.
Played this on 3DS, it was alright. Not sure if I wanna get this again.
Got it for the 3DS when it was on sale for $10. That was exactly the price it should have been, so at $40 there's no way I'd double-dip.
Weird how this was by Atlas and now it’s by Nicalis. I was just playing my 3DS copy too. If yr a fan of Golden Axe style games (even Power Rangers for Sega Genesis-esque Games) then you’ll love this. Take that and add RPG elements and multiple playable characters. Pretty good.
I get kind of bored with it over time but it truly is a good game if you like side-scroller brawlers.
Glad I kept my physical 3DS version all sealed up then, will order this.
I always wantet to get the 3DS Version, but since my 3DS is a european System and can't play US Games i never got to play it.
Even if the physical Edition on Switch won't make it to Europe i can still import the Game since the Switch thankfully got rid of regionlocking.
I got tired of all the grinding I need to do in the 3DS version. I think I'll pass on this one.
I wanted to try this a few times, I'd always forget about it during a sale and not pick it up.
Got this for free on 3DS back when MyNintendo actually provided rewards, and kind of enjoyed it. Not enough to finish it. I imagine the co-op will change that.
Never got the original so might get this.
I thought the original was ok. The enhancements sound like it would make it a lot nicer though. But yeah, Solange's bold design is still jarring...
Squeals
Now some people will know where a lot of the roster comes from in Blade Strangers.
I enjoy the ones on 3DS so getting this better HD version will be even better.
I'm definitely excited by this. I'm one of those people who loved the 3ds release (poor frame rate and all). HD visuals plus improved ai, sign me up! Hopefully it also means a more stable frame rate like the pc version. I also hope they change some of the achievements and remove/change the ones tied to online. Lastly i hope we can get english vo. I loved the voice work of the original and maybe atlus and nicalis can work something out so that we can retain the original english vo.
@Ryu_Niiyama Squealing intensifies
And RedOut will be out for the Switch when Nicalis?!?
I liked Code of Princess all right on 3DS, but I may just go back and finish it there. I'll have to think about that $40.
I enjoyed the 3DS version a lot and will definitely buy the Switch version, but i REALLY hope they'll release a physical version in Europe.
@BlueKnight07
Never played it , but have a feeling Nintendo has some other secrets up their sleeves ^^
YES!
@Arnold-Kage and they did lol.
Day one buy for me. I love this game.
@BlueKnight07
Understatement of the year knight.
I liked the 3DS version, but no online kills me, a little. I'll pick it up used or on sale..
yup.
