Re: Feature: It's Time To Lay Down Your ARMS

Arms was and is a ton of fun. I'm sure I'll continue to play a few rounds every now and then.

I'm extremely disappointed in how Nintendo handled the game down the stretch. Zero fanfare for the last party crash, not even a sale. And more importantly no update to allow the party crash events to be available by some other means now that the events ended. I didn't expect Splatoon Final Fest levels, but something more than nothing.

@DikkeSnikkel Maybe that’s true for you, but not everyone. I play 3-4 “AAA” games a year. Most of my time is spent playing indies because they are more bite sized. I can play much more variety with my limited game time. RDR2 will be my GOTY, but after that my “list” is full of indies.

Re: Nintendo Website Suggests Multiple Switch Games Will Not Support Cloud Saves

All those people downplaying this as not a big deal come back after you lose your 400 hour Splatoon save file. There is NO go reason for it. Saying it's to prevent people rolling back lost ranks is a cop out. Your entire save and rank should be stored server side like every other online game on every other platform handles it.

Nintendo is the ONLY console you can't freely back up your saves in some manner despite also being the only portable console. And apparently now we can't even pay to keep our saves safe.

Re: Charming Single-Player Puzzle Game Red's Kingdom Hits Switch This Month

lookmanohands

@Rafke @Colbalt The game does look generic, but to overlook a game just because it happened to be on mobile is a mistake. (The game's also on Steam...) Red's Kingdom has it's issues. Backtracking can become tedious having to redo puzzles, but I thought the game was neat. I would recommend the game on mobile where its sliding mechanic works perfectly.

Re: Super Bomberman R Is Coming To Rival Systems With Exclusive Characters

Crossplay? I couldn't care less if the game appears elsewhere, but if there's crossplay, then great! Online is all but dead on Switch.

I got the game over the holidays for half price, and the game is pretty cool. Maybe not amazing, but apparently the post launch patches and added content really improved the game. I know I've enjoyed my time with it.

Though I am bummed Switch doesn't have a special character:( I really like Portal...

Surprised by all the hate. I thought this game was great. You might want to grab the game on iOS/Android where the game is much cheaper, but this is worth playing (and not just watching a playthrough so you can make your own choices).

Re: Splatoon 2 Designer Explains Why The Maps Rotate And Salmon Run Is Time-Limited

lookmanohands

As someone who actually has played the game, I don't see these as huge issues. Not ideal, but whatever. I partly understand not having Salmon run all the time to help ensure when you do play you find teammates. And I like the map rotation and mode. Helps keep it from being the same maps/modes being most popular.

The game has FAR bigger issues. Like how it fights you from playing with friends...
