@rjejr thats amazing! Here in Japan I will be getting the stylus and a bento box. But i would almost rather have the tin lunchbox as the bento box looks to be plastic. Still cool either way.
@Nomad i agree its too many! Except i say out with the new, keep the old. Thats only because i started playing with the first 150. I agree with other complaints though. Mainly that the pokemon company has ridiculous amounts of money but wont invest the time and resources to really make an immersive game with excellent models and animation etc.
So many angry children in these comments, I’d be surprised if any of you are even older than pokemon games. Lol There have been far too many pokemon for a long time now. I have actually lost interest over the years due to that. I have been saying they should cut it down to a manageable number. glad they are finally taking the steps to do so.
I’m always surprised at the premium price of Neptunia games considering they always look and feel like previous gen games. This one might be different.
Also tried to look up Blade II...... those damn Asian developers put the most useless screenshots. They cover any actual gameplay with giant art so you can’t actually see what the game is like. Interest gone.
@Pigeon that’s the great thing about games aimed toward younger audience, always showing the furigana. But I just got mana collection and Mario Maker 2 is out in a week, so no time anyway.
@manu0 I wanted to try out Yokai Watch 4 but the song in the trailer ad is annoying as hell! I like to poke around the game shop here and that damn song is always looping and turning me off the game haha
@dimi I didn’t realize it still wasn’t out. I did play the beta in both my phone and tablet. I guess they were going for one-handed play with the controls, but the big arrow is annoying and it just feels off. I think Nintendo is purposefully gimping the mobile games to not cut into sales of real titles.
@aetios that’s too bad. I bought Mario Run and I actually think it’s the best of Nintendo’s mobile offerings. AC pocket camp doesn’t have the magic, and Mario kart controls are no good. Dragalia and Fire Emblem are nice but again, those damned micro transactions.... :/
It’s funny that there are mobile devices more powerful than the Switch now, but still nobody will develope this level of game. Maybe they don’t think it will sell at a premium price... so nobody is willing to make that investment.
@KoekiieWoekiie There is no way 3 Spyro games would fill a Blu-ray Disc. As someone else mentioned, it was a timing thing, not a space thing. They should easily be able to fit them all on one cartridge.
@konbinilife seems everybody who has played agrees it's not great. But I will say it looks quite nice. If you played on a decent tablet the game is very pleasant to look at. It just doesn't feel like an elder scrolls game. Too narrow and shallow, with standard mobile free2play gimmicks.
@rjejr MK track maker would be pretty sweet! I actually think Mario kart 8 is too flashy! Maybe I'm just getting old but I feel like it's made for hdhd kids
I like that he postitioned the right joystick above the buttons! I understand the current layout for horizontal joycon, but I always bump the camera when playing Rocket League and it throws me off. So if it isn't detable, putting it above the buttons would be fantastic!
@Krull the first Dragon Quest was my first RPG ever. And I played 2 and some of the newer entries. I never knew DQ3 you could have monsters fight along side you!! Somehow I missed that. XD
I really enjoy Dragon Quest but it is kind of funny how they are copying other games. They already had a Pokemon knockoff for NDS called DQ Monster joker or something. Then DQ Builder of course. Now another Pokemon rip. Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime was one of my favorite games! I hope they make a new one for current gen consoles
@Bondi_Surfer that's like saying "tasty" isn't the correct term for pizza; I'd go 'especially cheesy, flavored sauce with salty meats on a bed of dough' Nobody has the time for that. If you don't think the pizza is tasty, you don't have to eat it.
@ThanosReXXX perhaps "the Nintendo difference" can be updated? Now that the amazing intangible feel of a Nintendo game is consistently marred with a boggling choice or two.
@GrailUK I'm currently studying in Japan and have been here several times, and I can tell you, you are correct. Online gaming isn't near as prominent in Japan as it is in other countries. Most of Japan is the same, in that they just do what they do, and rarely consider or care about what other aces are doing. That is where a lot of the charm comes from, from an outsiders perspective. In fact I would say that Sony is more rare (in Japan) with how well they've embraced foreign gaming and online play.
@nhSnork may I ask what nes title it was? In those days basically nothing felt generic, it was a new and exciting world! Kemco probably isn't the same as it was 30 years ago. For example, we all know Natsume's recent Harvest Moon titles have taken a dive. I've played a couple of recent titles like Asdivine Hearts and some other that were very samey. You can't deny when they release 14 games that look the same in a short period, people are going to assume the worst...
Seems everyone on nintendolife knows better than to give any time or money to kemco. They must be making money off kids on steam or mobile that don't know any better... Yet.
@TechaNinja perhaps pumping out endless garbage makes more profit than taking the time to make one or two good games? It's really a disservice to everybody involved though. Developers and players alike.
@ALinkttPresent I don't want to defend Sega, but I think flash memory takes a performance hit when filled to the brim. I think they like to leave a headroom on carts.
@MJ1200 then move your thumb up and use A-jump and X-whip. It's the same thumb orrientation. They did the same thing with tetris99 and it threw me off for a bit, but then I realized it's perfect because it accommodates both thumb orientations (b,y and b,a) whichever one might prefer. You just move your thumb to a, x and it's what you want.
@Spiders I'm still not clear what the problem is... You want B-jump and Y-whip correct? But they are backwards? Then you simply move your thumb up and A-jump, X-whip gets you the same thumb orrientation....
@MJ1200 that's actually an excellent button assignment. It gives the player the option to use any combination that feels natural to them, A&X or Y&X or B&A or B&Y.

I’m preordered here in Japan. It comes with a stylus and a Mario Maker themed bento box!
In the USA I would get neither of those goodies.

Re: The Elder Scrolls: Blades Slashes Its Way Onto The Switch Later This Year
It's a crap game. No open world, no sense of exploration ! Which is what the elder scrolls games did great.

This game is on my wishlist. I'd love to get a physical copy.
Is it by the same developers as Kamiko? That game has stunning pixel work.

"tank controls" .... Not a single person feels any warm nostalgia for those bad controls! Who the hell made that decision?

Re: Could A 'Switch Mini' Be Key To Nvidia's Financial Revival?
@Rafke ah that's right! I get Nvidia and AMD mixed up sometimes haha
Re: Could A 'Switch Mini' Be Key To Nvidia's Financial Revival?
Aren't they providing the chips for PS5? That's probably a big boost.
The switch is using old tech though the demand certainly helps.
Re: Review: Castlevania Anniversary Collection - You'll Want To Get Your Teeth Into This
@MJ1200 fair enough.
I also agree, there is zero reason for them not to include button remapping.

Re: Review: Castlevania Anniversary Collection - You'll Want To Get Your Teeth Into This
@MJ1200 how would you map jump and whip, given the option?
Re: Review: Castlevania Anniversary Collection - You'll Want To Get Your Teeth Into This
@Torakaka other than SotN the gba and DS games are the best! Incredible games all of them.
Re: Review: Castlevania Anniversary Collection - You'll Want To Get Your Teeth Into This
