Hoping power pros gets a western release when it comes later in summer, pretty sure we won't get a doraemon one anytime soon.
I like Doraemon, hope this comes West at some point!
Also, does e3 provide a spike in hardware sales in the East?
@KIRO It's coming to the west later this year
@MajinSoul @ thanks, hopefully I’ll be into it by then and not completely owned by ac
@DockEllisD power pros is closer then I thought, that's ace, here's hoping for an English language option.
I saw Doraemon at the game shop today... but my Japanese isn’t good enough yet to enjoy it.
Just like the UK it takes discount to sell PS4 games!
Bloody impressive Nintendo. The switch and its catalogue winning hearts and minds.
Got the Doraemon demo on the japanese eshop and my god it`s unplayable!! the premisse is great, the art style is fresh and I like the characters, but the gameplay is enervating... I get that a bit of hand-holding is necessary specially for younger gamers, but this is ridiculous! 5min for every button command and if you don't press exactly what the game demand you go through the same dialogs over and over
Solid week for the switch
What pushed the PS4 hardware so high the last 2 weeks? How it raised from less than 10k just 2 weeks ago, this week and last week 30k
Well over two years after release and Breath of the Wild is still there, wow.
They had a huge sell on games and everything @Tantani. Last week they pushed all Switch games out of the top 10 because of the sells. But now the sells are over and Nintendo has returned.
@ConanLives I just want English language support so I can import. I desperately need a new power pros game on switch here in the states.
Once the Switch two other models came out the PS4 will really be in trouble.
Looking forward to Doremon Story of Seasons.
And people make fun of the UK charts for "buying the same games every year" 😅
Anyway, Yo-kai Watch is right around the corner. Hopefully a big hit.
"...although the combined sales of Sony's PS4 and PS4 Pro models are still nearing Switch's weekly total"
Well, nothing SONY is doing. More like - Switch sales just declining to PS4 levels. Sales were never in the 30s in Jun 2018.
PS4 numbers are only up cause of the days of play sale. will be normal again next week.
@Agramonte actually it is because something sony was doing..they put the PS4 systems on sale
Great to see Zelda still selling in Japan.
@manu0 No different from last year. SONY does a sale and go up from teens to 25,138. Only difference, Switch was selling 48,000 units.
Fresh new exciting games like Yo-Kai watch and MM2 will help.
@Agramonte i wish yokai watch to do well (pre-loaded it myself already actually) but it's not as big as it used to be
@manu0 Oh - great!. I'm a big Level5 fan, so also hoping it does well.
It has been #1 for 3 days now at Amazon JP 🙂
https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/bestsellers/videogames
So pre-orders must have picked up last few days before release
Minecraft just keeps on trucking!
Super Mario Party is doing really well.
Nintendomination. Those Nintendo evergreen titles just keep selling.
@Agramonte
Why buy a Switch in Japan right now when it will come bundled with a 3,000 Yen digital voucher upon the release of Mario Maker 2?
Getting really bored of this line up!
Somebody in Japan doesn't own Splatoon 2?
I feel bad for all those people buying Splatoon looking forward to the awesome Splatefests and then... nope, that's the last one!
Honestly, I get that the devs probably want to work on a sequel and other projects, but I'm sad the fests are ending. With Splatoon 2 selling so well, especially. Feels too soon.
Doraemon may be an obscure title in the west, but you have to understand that he is basically like Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny in Japan. He is one of those cartoon/anime characters for children that has been around for decades and won countless awards for children's shows and comics. The last several generations of Japanese people have grown up with Doraemon on their TV.
@manu0 I wanted to try out Yokai Watch 4 but the song in the trailer ad is annoying as hell! I like to poke around the game shop here and that damn song is always looping and turning me off the game haha
@Pigeon that’s the great thing about games aimed toward younger audience, always showing the furigana. But I just got mana collection and Mario Maker 2 is out in a week, so no time anyway.
@Heavyarms55 It depends on the country though. I'm from Spain and here Doraemon is pretty big
@westman98 Yes, and my point. Switch sales are down more than PS4 doing anything different. That they waiting for a Voucher or new exciting games as motivation to make the purchase are the same thing.
@fagocito Really? Well cool. Didn't know that. Never been to Spain. From what I had read, the only other countries where Doraemon was popular were Asian countries.
