@axelhander Agreed - the Steam Deck from what I've heard from very reliable sources performs circles around the Switch Deuce (as it's being called by the community now, because... well I'm sure you can connect the dots).

@BaldB3lper78 Agreed - the audacity of Nintendo rushing out an outdated consoled like the Switch 2 after the massive success of the Switch 1 will be studied for millennia to come.

Shoot even their own 1st party games are performing poorly and the soon-to-be released Pokeman game looks worse than Sword and Shield.

@mikegamer I do wish they fit half the game on the key card with the rest to be downloaded. That way you can play the game physically without the internet.

@PtM Oh it absolutely did!! The developers published an entire documentary on it on Youtube. They highlighted how grueling it was even having to touch a Switch 2 during development much less trying to figure out how to port such a sophisticated game to the console would be.

They almost pulled the plug entirely even up to the last day before it was released. They have said time and again that if their game was built in Frostbite engine, they would have released it decades ago instead.

@Erigen Couldn't agree more! And people saying Fortnite is an UE5 game is a joke. That game runs at 240 fps even on the worst gaming PC's so that doesn't count.

Switch 2's power capabilities is maybe on par with PS3 as best.

@Erigen Agreed. Switch 1 could barely handle UE5 games as it is. With the Switch 2 being even more underpowered than Switch 1, I strongly doubt we will ever see any more UE5 games than what we already have.

This was terrible. When the Just Dance trailer came on I was like… is this going to be all 25 minutes?

Also, Outlaws looks like an absolutely terrible port. Looks like PS3 quality at best. Ubisoft is an absolute joke.

@IronMan30 I have a very high regard for Jensen Huang. He is a person of great respect and integrity.

When I have big downloads I use Ethernet so just as fast as my PC.

I can’t be in the minority wishing all tracks were intermission/not repeating courses… right?? 😏

Also literally no complaints on my end. Been rocking it out in both handheld and docked consistently. Haven’t noticed any performance issues on any game and can actually play Fortnite competitively on it now. 🤣🤣

World is the new #1 and it isn’t even close.

MK8 Deluxe paved the way and is amazing from a content perspective, but World built upon the amazing mechanics and punched it into 7th gear.

Mario Kart 64 would be my number 3.

And Diddy Kong Racing deserves an honorable mention because that is still the best character racing game ever made.

@Axecon I mean it’s a fantastic game… but the replayabilty of World is insane. And it’s so beautiful.

This and Cyberpunk at launch running so incredibly smoothly are absolute show stoppers. Elden Ring is next. Switch 1… you did your duties well. Thank you for giving us everything we have today! 🥲

@Everythingnotsaved Agreed!! If anything it should be cheaper in the US now that Japan is paying all those tariffs. Luckily they're already shifting production to the States too. Just opened up a few facilities in my area.

@Metazoxan Don't respond to it. It's been a common trope that certain people keep propagating as if it holds any water. The designs and art styles are what make Palworld's designs dangerously close to Pokemon's.

I’m so excited for the Switch 2. I have been running DLSS with my RTX3060ti for a couple years now and having this functionality in a game console, much less a handheld, is such a big game changer. Pun intended.

I hope we get the Ghost of Tsushima series instead. This is garbage.

@GoldenBot Precisely - considering that the Switch could run/handle all creative maps made (some of which being so much more graphically daunting than STW), Epic would only be holding it back now because they just don't want to do it.

@frabbit what's funny is that trailer did nothing for me. I wasn't convinced that it was going to be all that good until I played it on launch. For some games, trailers can not do a game full justice.

The game will be playable on Switch 2 so I'm still not understanding why people want a Switch 2 version release. The game will undoubtedly perform much better on the successor no different than the release of BOTW.

Yeah... I'm getting more hyped with each passing trailer. It still feels like they're holding off on so many other details but the battling, catching and having a real world danger again like in Arceus are all fire! I'm expecting the game to look better on my Switch than these preview videos as Arceus didn't look too bad (especially in comparison to Scarlet & Violet).

The final battle was truly a memorable moment much akin to the first time ever besting the Elite Four when I was a child.

Arceus was a huge step in the right direction for Pokemon going forward and I cannot wait to play Z-A when it arrives. Here's to hoping that game is also very challenging and rewarding.

Pokemon Mansion would be number 1 along with an Elite 4 building/castle.

I request a Scarlet & Violet remake immediately.

The game has an amazing new generation of Pokemon and honestly a great story from start through the DLC.

I just want a truly playable version of it though that is more fun than Arceus was. Even at its best, it's still the worst Pokemon game playability wise in the entire franchise.

Wish we would get this update for RCT3 as well...

-Upgraded hardware
-Can replace my 8 year old device that's on its last leg
-High percentage carry over of my library
-Better performance of games already owned
-Higher fidelity games at launch and horizon from 1st and 3rd parties not currently capable or available on the Switch

Safest reveal they possibly could have had. Sounds reminiscent of 2016/2017, no?

I am so hyped. Fingers crossed for a June release at the latest!!

Also, the feature that may be the greatest on this device is seemingly mouse support. Expecting some PC games to finally make their way to the Switch 2!!

Backwards compatibility means we have access to everything we own out of the gate on newer, better hardware.

This means that we have:
-No means for ports that have already existed
-Improved visuals/Frame Rates on prior titles
-A lot of money saved especially if our current Switches die (mine is going to be 8 years old and... it sounds 8 years old)
-Consolidation on one device: Switch is already my favorite console of all-time because of the vast library from past to present it had. Now it can expand even further on one device with new games and other ports (GTAV for instance).
