The thing that's so disappointing about that game is that Lego should be able to design an amazing open-world Minecraft-esque type game. It would sell billions if done correctly.

@120frames-please The online only part is my only gripe. But because of the game's prominent competitive mode, it makes sense to introduce something such as always online to make sure cheating is cut to a minimum.

I am hoping a future update allows there to be at least Arcade racing as an offline mode.

Overall though, this is easily my favorite in the franchise. Its beauty alone is enough for me to keep playing.

I'm hoping Arceus and GT7 stay on top for a while honestly. Heck toss in Elden Ring too. These three games are must haves for their particular genres and are the quintessential games to own in anyone's game libraries. Best part is this year is just beginning and we have three of my favorite games of all time that just came out in a span of two months. Happy gamer days everyone.

The traditional method is so boring. In fact it would be amazing if battles were more dynamic where you would still have aim and throw a ball at a wild pokemon even in battle. I would assume the catching mechanics from Legends will carry over just for the open world aesthetic clearly in place (looks at the flock of Hoppip flying through the air as an indicator).

If it doesn't include a refined version of that mechanic, this game will be an immediate no purchase from me.

No Smash, no Odyssey, no Rocket League or Fortnite, no Skyrim or Witcher. All things considered this is still a pretty damn good list.

Why is The Show not listed? Doesn’t that launch in April?

@blindsquarel No it doesn't. Two different studios are working on these games. BotW2 is 100% coming out this year.

The only way I'm getting this is if they bring over all of the new features in Arceus. If there's no open world throwing pokeballs at flying, running, swimming Pokemon, I'm not buying it. That is the single greatest mechanic Arceus introduced and it needs to be in this game.

@KingBowser We already know this game is coming this year, do we really need anything else about the game? We know it's going to be stellar. At this point I want to see things that haven't been formally announced by Nintendo or if we'll see the new Metroid Prime game in the next decade.

@UltimateOtaku91 GTAV is never coming to the switch unless it's a cloud version running a cloud version. The game barely ran on PS3. The Switch has only PS2 level graphics... just look at how awful Arceus is.

When is the next Direct? There are a handful of leaks surfacing that seem to point to a new Direct coming very shortly.

What’s funny for me is that I only buy physical copies from Nintendo. I buy some digital too, but I don’t buy any physical games for any other platform. Does it have a little to do with the limited capacity of micro sd cards? Sure. But I just prefer physical for them because of longevity and contingency reasons.

@Troll_Decimator Honestly, there are just a few easy features/refinements that could be made that would put this in Breath of the Wild tier for me. This game is a big step in the right direction.

Edit: I have also legitimately died more times in this game already than I had in BotW. 🤣

Gold and Silver are very special because of so many things. They are truly the pinnacle of 2D Pokemon games. Arceus is the new evolution of the game. I am hard pressed to not say it is the new number one. But if there is DLC for this game, Arceus will easily be number one. Whatever comes next in the series though is now primed to be a masterpiece much like what gold and silver were to red/blue and yellow.

Here’s the thing that’s crazy… this is the first pokemon game I have played that doesn’t have multiplayer in any way, shape or form. And yet it is easily the best pokemon game I have ever played. This game is a huge step in the right direction. There are some other features that could easily be implemented to make the next entry phenomenal. The amount of fun I am having battling and catching is far better than any past experience. And I have been playing Pokemon games for 25 years.

Wow that's probably what it should cost regardless considering how horribly it's getting reviewed. Makes sense to drop the price immediately since no one is buying it.

@silverninja honestly mk8 is very bloated. Too many tracks and toons no one cares about. They need to go back to their roots and have maybe three total toons and two tracks. I still haven’t made it through mk8’s story mode and it’s been 12 years!?

@Meteoroid exactly this. Nintendo hasn’t made a AAA game in almost two decades. They could literally make a game with Mario punching a button that says “give me money” and they would charge $60 for it.

EA is literally the only good game company anymore.

What if the twist is micro transactions and always online?! Give us Mario Kart Tour on the Switch but charge us $120 just to pay for more content! Oh and NFT’s!! That would be perfect!

@Crockin it’s going to be a very watered down experience with no reason to play after “finishing”. There’s no trainer battles, multiplayer, co-op, or competitive. We already have Zelda Breath of the Wild so there’s no need for this game. It’s literally just a demo being released as a “game” by Nintendo. I really wish Disney would get the Pokemon license already.

This is very meh. Diamond and Pearl are much better entries. I will wait for the second remake of this in 15 years.

I’m honestly very pumped about this. After everything that Harmonix dealt with under EA, I expect the deal Alex made with Epic is pretty dope. As a huge Rock Band fan, I expect a new game/rebranding in the next year or two. I can hear Immigrant Song playing now...

@Pod Exactly... these kind of problems don't just get corrected overnight. You need to solve these issues with time and proper management. Being expeditious about this just results in the problem repeating itself.

Oh yeah... I really hope the "Demolition Man" mission in Vice City is fixed. I thought when the building was being blown up that so was my Switch. I was laughing out loud as it was handled even worse than what I remembered on PS2. 🤣

@durrdevil To be fair that's the true power of the consumer. We all have the ability to bend corporations and entire industries to fit our needs provided we stand together and take action. We just really haven't been flexing these muscles at all until recently.

@DumbElder This. Just because you associated with the guy even for a moment doesn't mean you're complicit with his doings or partake in his erroneous affairs. Do I believe most people who associated with the man were aware or involved? Yes. Is it fair to judge everyone listed that took a flight of his? No.

Bobby Kotick is honestly the main reason I haven't given Activision any of my money in the past 14 years. I know it sucks as there are plenty of talented and passionate people that work within that organization. But I can't stand knowing that anything I buy from them would help him financially.

All in all I can't believe he's remained in his position for so long considering how evil this man has been. I'm very happy for the employees taking a stand. Bobby Kotick will finally get his comeuppance. And when that happens, we can all celebrate.

Time to return Activision back into a company that gives a crap about their community, both employees and gamers.

@SViper Nope as in I don’t know for sure how long they will be available. I noted what’s currently in the game as an indicator for what to expect for the duration of availability for the skins. If they are out of the shop within the week, expect them to reappear before or on December 4th (end of season). There will also be Naruto challenges included in the game soon for more Naruto cosmetics.

@SViper Nope... but Kakashi and the knives will be on the map til the end of the season so I would expect the skins to be available for a good stretch of time. Also, this season is the last season of this chapter! Expect big changes again in December.

The exploding kunai knives are so damn fun. Best collab ever! Just wish they would have added a POI to the map too.

I played about an hour of Vice City last night without doing a single mission! I was laughing my ass off at how dated the game really is... but it's so much fun that way! Also, the only music missing in the game is just Michael Jackson and Ozzy Osbourne. Otherwise all of the other classics are still intact. 😁
