It's such a wonderful feeling when you watch a trailer for an upcoming game and just immediately think "oh yeah, this is gonna be good". Well, say hello to Mr. Records.

Developed by Glee-Cheese and published by Wired Productions, this is a quirky tale in which you play as George, who ventures into his store records in a variety of rhythm-based levels. After, you'll need to sell these very same records to your customers, all of which are on the hunt for the perfect album.

The rhythm levels will have you running, jumping, and sliding to the beat, chaining together combos while you soak in the psychedelic sights. During the day, you'll meet a host of unique characters as they enter your shop, conversing with them to discover what it is they're looking for – kinda like this year's inKONBINI.

We'll need to see more, of course, but the trailer above is more than enough to convince us that this will at least be worth keeping an eye on. For now, let's check out the key features:

• Connect with Customers in the Record Shop - Hidden behind the simple act of selling a record, the record shop is filled with quirky customers, hidden stories, and musical riddles. Learn each record, recommend the perfect album, unlock new stock, and turn George’s tiny dream shop into a place where music changes lives.
• Every Record Tells a Story: Meet colourful characters and uncover George’s memories through music, photographs, notes, and emotional discoveries from his past. Some songs are joyful. Others reveal regrets, lost love, and the life he never truly lived.
• A Soundtrack Worth Living In: Explore a huge range of original music styles including funk, progressive rock, hip-hop, electro, world music, and 80s pop, all composed by the developers themselves.
• Relax in George’s Bedroom Hub: Between musical journeys, unwind in George’s personal bedroom above the shop. Review memories, track progress, take calls, and spend quiet moments reflecting on the story and the music shaping your adventure.
• Endless Variety Beyond the Beat: MR. RECORDS constantly introduces new gameplay twists, from rhythm battles and surreal mini games to environmental changes, visual disruptions, chase sequences, and side activities with George’s loyal dog, Buzz.
• A Rhythm Adventure About Life Itself: More than a music game, MR. RECORDS is a heartfelt story about dreams, memory, regret, and discovering it’s never too late to finally start living.

There's no release date for Mr. Records just yet, but we'll be sure to keep an eye out for more updates in the coming weeks. This one looks awesome.
