Re: Atlus Reveals Most Popular Persona 5 Royal Character In Official Poll

jbreez00

Think and Haru getting the short end of the stick while kasumi and makoto are close to the top is funny. Both of them have their entire story centered around other people, but at least makoto's terrible stealth skills and her reactions when you talk to her made her a little funny.

I really am trying tough to see what it is about makoto though, I've played royal twice as well as strikers and she's afraid of the dark, that's all I really know.

Re: Soapbox: Sega's Greatest RPG Is 20 Years Old And Long Overdue A Remaster

jbreez00

There have always been 3 games from late 90s early 2000s I always wanted modern updates for. Skjee of arcadia since I never played it, Breath of fire 3 since it's still one of the best RPGs to me (Capcom was really on another level in the 90s) and threads of fate because squaresoft was also on another level in the 90s. I could probably throw vagrant story and final fantasy tactics in there too since I remember getting them on the same day and not liking either at first but turned out to be some of the most unique experiences I've had gaming.

Re: Bayonetta Origins Announced Exclusively For Switch, Coming March 2023

jbreez00

When they first announced it, I went right into the eShop (got about 13 dollars I'm not sure when some expires and Zelda still isn't available) and didn't see Bayonetta in there. Hopefully this game actually was the Bayonetta game I was waiting on because 3 wasn't really fun to me at all compared to the previous 2.

Re: New Game From Breath Of The Wild Dev Looks Like A Stunning Mix Of Disney, Anime And Zelda

jbreez00

@daveMcFlave If you've been playing Elden Ring I wouldn't too much suggest playing a lot of other open world games. They all have a lot of the same problems, which for me at least, are lack of verticality despite being open world and sometimes with powers and too much goin on on-screen, Elden ring broke away from that a bit so it feels a lot more refreshing. Spider-man and BoTW are the only other games that broke out of those confines.

Re: Soapbox: Xenoblade Chronicles X's Influence Is Bigger Than You Think

jbreez00

When I first got a glimpse of Xenoblade (not sure which one but it was around 2014 so probably X) I wasn't all too impressed. Mostly because it was on the Wii U when I didn't have the disposable income to buy it and I was still salty about xenosaga being cut well short of the original planned length.

Then I got the 2nd game on the switch (weird starting point maybe) and absolutely loved it, so I have 1 and 3 that I haven't actually started yet because I was burned out on jrpgs at the time I got them, but would love to be able to play all 3 on the switch.

Intended to start finally while I was on vacation in Florida in august but somehow got entranced by bravely default 2 instead, I know I'll get around to them soon though, hopefully with news Xenoblade X is coming.

Re: Another Fan Claims To Have Reached Nintendo Switch's Maximum Hour Count

jbreez00

Idling or not I'd have gotten tired of looking at the game by the 1000 hour mark. I only have one game with more than 500 hours and most of that was from me idling, I stopped playing it for the most part and only login for the daily.

I do wonder why the Ps4 really track game time, the Xbox and the switch both have ways to check easily. I mean I guess if you're playing an RPG you can tell by the save file, but otherwise you probably need to wait for your PlayStation wrap up stats to be emailed.... they even congratulate you if you get a ps5 (the one that does track play time).

Re: Former Metroid Prime Lead Designer Targeted With Abusive Messages

jbreez00

Stories like this are why I try to have as little interaction with fanbases as possible, I loved all the Metroid games that came out when the primes were around (Metroid fusion being the one I liked the most), but I'd never harass somebody for saying I may not get to play them again any time soon, this serves no purpose.

Re: Nintendo Switch Sales Surpass Game Boy Advance As Demand Stays High

jbreez00

@johnvboy I don't know what your talking about they won't drive sales, Bayonetta maybe, but the other 2 are highly anticipated games that can easily sell the system to people that haven't gotten one. One's a direct sequel to one of the highest-selling switch games already out and the other finally has Samus back to bounty hunting instead of knocking fools off platforms.

Re: Random: Boy Has To Choose Between Nintendo Switch And Pizza, Chooses Pizza

jbreez00

I'd say that kid made the right choice, when I think of all the pizza I could have gotten instead of the switch and the games I bought for it over the last 3 years I could have made several cross country trips with stops at Pizza joints along the way. I think I may have just hit the point in life where I'd rather enjoy a good meal over playing a game which is kind of funny.

Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Has Now Shipped 3.7 Million Units

jbreez00

This is the type of game that would greatly benefit from an actual sale that Nintendo is so reluctant to do, was going to buy the game at launch but something about the demo didn't quite click with me so now I'll just wait for the year it finally drops after the switch stops being sold (probably 2023).

Re: Octopath Traveler Is No Longer A Nintendo Switch Console Exclusive

jbreez00

@Spoony_Tech Lol this comment cracked me up, because I was thinking about recommending a friend try out project triangle and was going to suggest maybe trying out octopath too but since it's still full price I was apprehensive (he has gamepass though so this will be good).

I fired the game up and saw the last time I played it was 2018, surely those 3 years should have at least knocked 15 bucks off by now, especially since it's not even a Nintendo game.

Edit: Oh wow, lol they just updated the article from 2019.... I thought this was new from today. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Re: Feature: The Brilliance Of Zelda: Oracle Of Ages & Seasons Forced Nintendo To Up Its Game

jbreez00

I remember I and a friend got the games, I got ages and he got seasons... I struggled to get through ages, that game seemed especially difficult to me for some reason, we did the little code exchange thing and switched out games for a week, I flew through Oracle of seasons so damn fast I couldn't believe they were a part of the same overall story, he struggled on ages as much as I did.

Re: Switch Is Now Nintendo's Second Best-Selling System In The US, In "Tracked History"

jbreez00

Man.... if only they'd just release these few games people REALLY want, they can probably secure the best console of all time sales wise from Sony with a great catelog.... Those games include, anything f-zero related, Metroid prime 4 (like damn for real you announced this 4 years ago), Bayonetta 3 (see previous), The mother series.... and a Pipe dream of mine (a new pilorwings game).

Re: Feature: "The Theme Is 'Escapism' And Its Many Forms" - Little Nightmares II Dev On Ideas And Inspirations

jbreez00

@Bunkerneath I personally think you really should. I stopped playing the first one too (not for the same reason though). While I was interested in part 2 when I saw it up for pre-order I still hadn't decided, the demo for 2 however, made me decide to go back to the first game so I'd be caught up.

Believe I had the first game since a little after it came out and after actually finishing it, can't believe I'd just been sitting on it the whole time, they're both pretty nice and atmospheric just hope the next game doesn't take nearly 5 years.

Re: Switch Becomes The Best-Selling Console For 24 Consecutive Months Despite PS5, Xbox Series Launches (US)

jbreez00

@JohnnyC That Miles morales is surprisingly a very nice looking game, especially now that they've released and update that gives you the 60 fps AND the Ray tracing. I tried running with the Ray tracing and while it looked nice, not having the frames made me drop it out of my playthroughs. If all games can find a way to balance that going forward everybody wins.

Re: Review: Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered - A Racer From A More Innocent Time

jbreez00

@Realness Heh I can relate on the terrible sound track, I don't have hot pursuit, but I did buy heat when it was on sale a few weeks before this released. That soundtrack is pure trash, normally I can tolerate the tracks in most games, but in heat it's hard to even navigate the stations for some reason you'll wind up listening to the same 3 songs and most of them sound like electronica and dubstep. I know it's a pipedream to expect similar now, but vice city still has one of the best selections of music in it

Re: The Wii U First Launched Eight Years Ago Today

jbreez00

When the Wii u came out I was in a pretty bad spot financially so I had to drop the hobby entirely for several years. During this time the Wii u, 3ds, the ouya, and the psvita all came and went. I remember the thing that always stuck to me was how bad the marketing was, I mean I personally new it was a different system, but for the life of me I still couldn't tell exactly how different it was aside from the game pad and I just remembered seeing all those deluxe edition of third party games being advertised for it.

Aside from the 3ds these were the only Nintendo systems I didn't own. I kind of feel like all they had to do was simply change the name to the Wii Too and they would have made everything clear, it may have captured the casual market in an even better way than the original.

Re: Pikmin 3 Opening Week Physical Sales Were Lower On Switch Than Wii U (UK)

jbreez00

This game probably would have sold like crazy if Nintendo just did this one thing.... Bring back the Nintendo selects for these older titles. Pikmin 3 isn't a new game and while I have purchased treasure tracker, tropical freeze, and new Mario Bros deluxe, those are from franchises I've always known to be good. I only played Pikmin when I rented it for the GC, and while I enjoyed my time with it back then I'm not willing to drop full price to try now and end up not liking it at all.
